Order from the Szechwan menu! Specifically the Mapu Tofu (VERY different tasting, but delicious. A little "spicy" but more like makes your mouth tingle) and the green beans - both are delicious (and I'm not vegetarian/vegan/food limited, it's just that good). The egg drop soup is VERY good & the crab rangoons are great as well (very creamy & comes with quite a few) - you don't even need the sauce, which isn't my favorite anyways. I've never dined in at this restaurant, but carry out is always hot and fresh and ready when I arrive (which is usually a few minutes before I'm quoted for). Always a good amount of food for the very reasonable price!! The only thing that I didn't love would be the non-Szechwan chicken/veggie medley. Also, if you get the fried rice, remember to give it a little spice just for the flavor. Let me start this review by says how immaculately clean this place is. The dining room is not huge so large parties may have trouble. Everything was classy and upscale form the decor to the granite table tops! The next thing that impressed me was the complimentary appetizers. They brought snap peas and fried wontons with a delightful cheese sauce of some kind. We ordered egg rolls and the food presentation was over the top. Everything placed so purposefully on the plate. Plus there are no dried Chinese red peppers in the Kung Poa at China Cafe and very few peanuts that are not cooked into the dish. Kung Poa has been my favorite dish for years but not at China Cafe. Told 15-25 minutes from order placed. Food order handed to me 45 minutes after order placed. (2) of the (3) appetizers were short (1) stick. So total of (13) sticks instead of (15). Still is the best place to get Chinese food in the area. And when I say Chinese food, it's authentic Szechuan cuisine if you order from the back of the menu. Price got a little higher due to the area where it is located and the serving is a little smaller now but the taste is so good that it did not matter. This place will give pf chang a run for its money in my humble opinion. My only concern was the table is to small for all the food to be place on the table for sharing. The edamame came out ice cold and slimy and mushy. When I said something to the waitress she asked if we wanted them reheated. . Holy crap they were already way over cooked. And for 8 pieces they give you a tiny cup of sweet and sour sauce. My son got the sweet and sour chicken and the portion was huge but again came with one tiny cup of sauce served with it.
