This is a no-frills Chinese food place, mostly for pick-up and not sit-down, which suits us just fine. They have been here is Bella Vista, as long as I can remember. What we like about their dishes is that they use a lot of vegetables, the sauces are good and the prices very reasonable. My viewpoint is that for the quick family dinner, and I don't have to cook, a more nutritious alternative to pizza, burgers and what not in a place with very limited restaurants it's just fine! read more

Had the Lemon chicken tonight, worst I've ever had. Chicken tasted like a Tyson spicy patty, the so called lemon sauce was like a watered down lemon oil with vertically no flavor. So when we arrived I was a bit concerned about the appearance. The cushions on the booths and chairs were very worn and cracked. There were only a few table in the restaurant. You order and pay for your food before you take a seat. They serve the meals on disposable plates and use plastic utensils. Place is actually pretty busy. Don't let the outside deter you. The beef in the Hunan Beef combo was very soft and tasty. Proportions with the veggies were perfect (more beef than a anything). Sesame Chicken with "easy sauce" was still saucy and very tasty. Chicken wasn't tough, and was well seasoned. House lomein was pretty decent (my fiance from NY gave it a thumbs up). The boneless spare ribs were marinated very well, but too try for my taste. It will make for amazing friend rice in the morning. I ordered the spicy orange chicken and the appetizer platter. The food was OK, about par with the typical american style Chinese food restaurants. The appetizer platter did not contain what menu stated was included which was disappointing. Mostly seemed to be reheated frozen type appetizers like mini spring rolls, frozen butterfly shrimp, and a little mound of sweet and sour chicken pieces. It did have a really good version of chicken on the stick though. The orange chicken tasted slightly off. I've been eating here since I moved to Bella Vista two years ago and I'd like to counter Sarah B's review. 1. There are no roaches. It's in a strip with a medical office on one side, a pet supply store, a Goodwill, a couple of restaurants, I believe a health store, and a grocery store. I've yet to see a roach in any of the businesses. How only this restaurant is "roach infested" is some sort of entomological mystery. 2. They don't serve cats or dogs, just the standard beef, chicken, pork, and shrimp. Nothing more needs to said. 3. Honestly, I can't respond to the "dirty China vibe" remark since I'm just not racist enough to know wtf that is. I think it's clear what Sarah's real issue is with the restaurant and employees. The food is decent, better than any other Chinese restaurant in the area, and the service friendly enough without being annoying. It's take-out only right now, but it was always basically take-out with just a few seats and disposable plates and utensils. 3 strikes you are out. 1st time sesame chicken -Egh the flavor was there but the chicken was hard and over cooked. Not fresh. 2nd beef broccoli and fried rice. Saucy and a ton of broccoli which some people might like but I like to have either equal parts of each not for my beef to be lost in a broccoli forest. 3rd and final time chicken Lomein and steamed dumplings. Please add a pinch of salt or a little more soy sauce to your lo mein it was really bland and almost went in the trash. I ended up bringing it home and adding some ingredients to add flavor.
