Got food to go on a Sunday. Ordered the "happy family" with fried rice & an order of egg rolls. Food was fresh and the egg rolls were tasty and hot (temp). When I called to place my order, it only took 10 minutes. Friendly staff but I didn't dine-in. The dish has just about every kind of meat: shrimp, scallops, beef & chicken. Good size portion. When their old location in Springdale was closed we were disheartened but then they opened in Rogers to our excitement. I have been there 4- 5 times since I got to know about it. The menu is bit different with mix of typical Chinese foods but that you would see. We are not there for that . It's the authentic Spicy Szechuan dishes that takes me there again and again. The hot pot dishes drenched with chili oil and spices . It's not spicy spicy that it will blow your head off but it would definitely clear all your sinuses. They have sliced fish in hot chili oil, tofu, vegetables and ox tail. Of note is that you will find more than 2-3 similar names but taste different. I'm new to the area and finding a good Chinese restaurant is always a must when I move, China Cafe is not that place. The dining area looked nice enough and service was fast, but if the food is no good the rest is futile. The chicken had no flavor, the sauce had no flavor, the "fried rice" taste like straight up white rice. It looks like they tossed in some soy sauce and called it good, that is not how you cook fried rice. The only bit of flavor I got was the green pepper which tasted like, well... a green pepper. For the price you pay it's not worthy enough to even be ok to eat once and a while. The food taste like they are just opening bags of precooked food and heating it up. read more

Just picked up a to go order from this restaurant, accidentally set a 100 dollar bill on the counter when I got there and checked on my order.... The order wasn't ready and I took my seat, not realizing I had just sat my 100 on the counter, one of the staff in the kitchen noticed it and sat it behind the register, fast forward too paying for the order and realized I didn't have my 100 asked the woman at the register, we both looked for the money couldn't find it on the ground. She opened the door and asked the staff and one of them revealed the finding of the 100 dollar bill and gave it back too me. They could have pocketed the money instead they were honest. Love this place! Use to eat at it all the time when they were in Springdale. Just found out the Rogers location was open and took my Wife there for a Friday night Date!! She had the Garlic Chicken and I had the Triple Delight! Meal begins with a plate of edamame and a bowl of crispy noodles/ hot mustard. Then you get your entrees. After the meal they bring a couple of bites of delicious cake as your palate cleanser. Overall a very enjoyable experience. We have now been to this restaurant several times and have always had great service and excellent food. This is the best Chinese restaurant in all of NWA! Typically your chain Chinese restaurants can be a little pricy, but this place gives you good bang for your buck! Eating at this little cafe was a first timer for me. It is conveniently located in a place right off the interstate next to Golden Corral. I thought this was a Chinese Buffett but it is not! It is dine in or take out. It is clean and the portions are good. Many main dishes are shareable. We waited very very long for our food to come out. Even our appetizer took a long time. The attitude of the waitress who picked up my phone call was terrible!! She was impatient and rude when I asked questions, making me feel like I should not bother her! I went to the restaurant to pick up my food and just realized she is a new face, not the regular Chinese waitresses who are very helpful and courteous. She was cold and rude when I talk to her. Really wanted to try a different Chinese place so I followed the Yelp reviews to China Cafe and even drove a distance to get there. We ordered the Szechwan Tofu with LoMein. And the Dragon Meets Phoenix with Fried Rice and some Egg drop soup. When we opened the containers everything smelled of old rancid oil and because we spent almost 40 bucks and were already all the way home we attempted to eat it anyway. What we could taste above the rancid oil has less flavor than the average airport Manchu Wok (which is a heck of a lot more fresh because the turnover keeps the food fresh). The flavors in both main dishes which were advertised as spicy on the menu were not spicy at all and just not particularly good. Maybe we hit them on a bad Saturday night but they weren't busy at dinner time which should have been a tip off. As a weekly traveler and avid user of Yelp not sure where the great reviews are coming from but I cannot recommend this place. read more

Love this place! Been going here for years and was really disappointed when they closed to move to pleasant grove from Springdale. Really happy they did it though because it closer to bentonville and more convenient without having to make a special trip. Order off he schezuan menu- closest to authentic Chinese food in NWA! Haven't ordered a dish that wasn't good. We usually order a bunch of dishes and eat family style so everyone can try a little of everything. You won't be disappointed. read more
