If you've been to one Chinese Buffet, you've been to them all right? In this case, the China Buffet has a few nice local things going for it. First, Leavenworth doesn't have real buffet options elsewhere and if you like the self-service style, the laid back environment and great staff make it easy. The restaurant is VERY clean, and they pay attention to their workers and guests. Window screens around checkout and food to protect it; new food constantly being added to the buffet to make sure it feels and tastes fresh and the smell in the restaurant is very good. I took time to try a little bit of everything; isn't that the goal of a buffet? I found so many things that I really liked and would definitely do this again. Solid value. read more

This review has to do with Grubhub, Uber Eats orders. Fairly recently this location used to be a value place to get a great amount of food for a decent price, not anymore. For an order of Chicken Lo Mein the portion size of cut by over half and full price. The serving size used to be a full take out container now the containers are half the size AND the price sorta stayed the same but went up a tad bit. Same thing for everything else on their menu. I haven't ordered from them since receiving my last delivery and discovering this. read more

I was short on time so I arrived for pick up like 5 min after I sent a huge order on do or dash to China buffet and I shit you not, my Chinese craving for a taste of everything was already bagged, tagged with my name, sitting there waiting on me! Four bags later, I was blessed with like 8 furtune cookies that put the cherry on the top! Also!!! This is huge for me... all plastic wear napkins and condiments were all packed accordingly! We took our daughter there for the first time, on her 18th birthday. There was 6 of us and we enjoyed everything and had a great time. I was shocked, that the bill was extremely reasonable, for the 6 of us and we got to eat and try, many different great foods. They took care of us the whole time and we will definitely be going back. Surprisingly tastes better than the food looks on the buffet. Love Chinese buffets. Been meaning to hit this one up since I arrived in August. I went during an off hour, right before 1600 on a Wednesday. I wasn't expecting the food to be super fresh at such a random time. And to be honest the food didn't seem that fresh. Meaning it hadn't been recently put out. I got an egg roll, a chicken wing, some broccoli from the chicken and broccoli, some hibachi chicken, string beans, shrimp out of the seafood delight type dish (had lobster and crab pretty sure it's imitation), fried rice, lo mein, and the salt and pepper chicken. I got this to go. I ran some errands. So when I got home, I popped my plate in the air fryer on heater at 10 mins (325 degrees). And man, it was really good. I was pleasantly surprised. If I'm in the mood for Chinese buffet, I won't hesitate to come back. read more

My family and I went here on a Sunday evening, food didn't seem fresh (sesame balls dripped grease) and our stomachs hurt as soon as we were done eating our food. It was also expensive for the quality ($55 for 2 adults and 1 child- 4 year old who barely ate anything). This is a nice/clean family-owned Chinese buffet with good customer service and a large selection of classic Chinese buffet items. Price is reasonable, as well. I'm not sure why other yelp reviews are bad for this restaurant - hey, it's a Chinese buffet, probably like the others you've been to in your life - but, I personally have always had a good experience here, and I come here often to eat. As far as Chinese buffets go, I actually think this one ranks up there. It has most of the common buffet items that you know and love. And their selection is huge (I posted a pic). They also have fresh fruit, a few types of sushi, and an ice cream machine. I've even seen a few "kid friendly" items on their buffet like chk fingers, fish sticks, French fries, etc. In my opinion, this is the best buffet in Leavenworth (I've tried them all). Also, If you're coming as a large group they can accommodate - they have a back portion of the restaurant that can seat large parties so they can sit together. Being a regular here, I've seen pretty much everything about this restaurant. Spend time at a restaurant long enough and you start to notice more of their "behind the scenes" activities. A few things tell me this place is a solid place to eat. First, the owner takes a lot of pride in being a member of the local Leavenworth community. Another thing is that you can tell the staff takes restaurant cleanliness seriously; they're fanatics about cleaning everything. Also, I think it's a good sign when the entire restaurant staff actually sits and eats the food they prepare from the buffet for their own lunch and dinner. Food is reasonably priced! Food is great! My husband and I have been craving for rice (lol) for days and so this is the only spot in town where we are positive there would be rice. Haha. :) Food did not disappoint at all. My husband enjoyed the chicken with mushrooms and had two plateful servings of it. I enjoyed the crab Rangoon and ate a bunch of sesame balls. I even got the last one and I guess Joy, one of the servers, noticed it and so he asked me if I wanted more; of course, I said yes. Haha. :) a few minutes later, he approached our table and informed us of the fresh sesame balls. I appreciate his/their hospitality and really paying attention to the customers. I've eaten at China Buffet many times since I'm a local. I've seen it both good and bad. On an average it's really pretty good. Recently, they've had some new items on the buffet which they desperately needed. The worst I've ever seen it was on Christmas Eve...We went to church service and decided to go eat afterwards. Out or low on a lot of dishes and wouldn't make anything else. Tip--go when they are their busiest...you can be assured that food will be at its freshest then. read more

Second rate at best. The food is ok. But they are too cheap to offer their patrons siracha sauce or any wasabi. It was also uncomfortably warm in there. I guess they were too cheap to run the air conditioning. The price is also a little high for no more than they offer. I would do a little research on yelp and go somewhere else. This has got to be the worse Chinese buffet I have ever been to. The steamed rice was even awful. All chicken dishes over sauced or over cooked mushy noodles. There were 2 choices of sushi rolls that was 90% rice. Though I do give a 1 star for huge ragoons and service. read more

The food is good, and the staff is kind and caring. While the outside does not look up-to-date, the people are so nice! My friend knows some Chinese, and we randomly brought it up to our waitress. And turns out she was fluent in Madeiran! The waitress and my friend had an amazing conversation, and it was really nice overall. I would love to support them more often. read more

I love bad Chinese food, and I mean super Americanized garbage Chinese food, but this was inedible even by my super low standards. Props on not paying very much for takeout, but yuck. The crab rangoons were REALLY sweet. The chicken wings had lots of grease but no salt or flavor, and they tasted old. The egg rolls were doughy. All around terrible.
