11th December 2018 update Well today myself and my brother went to China buffet because he likes it but sadly it's only getting worse 1. The thin chips was cold piles and piles of them but honestly McDonald's chips have more of a taste. 2. Chicken satay again was cold and hard 3. The chicken in the curry I tried was rubbery and you can tell it's not a breast 4. No longer do draught coke so it's £2 a can ( was caught out) 5. The seen to have hot mains and desserts in the same area. 6. Pizza and hash browns dried out and hard 6. The plates are tiny and for desserts they give you a tea spoon. To make sure you eat less, so my brother put jelly on the plate. All totally yuk Update April 2018 My brother wanted to go today and I did. While there have been some improvements, additions and changes some good some bad 1. Me and my brother like others had to wait due to lack of seats but failed to reveal they choose not to use 20 tables up the back, the only reason I believe is to create a buzz that it is busier than what it is. 2. It looks like new owners with a updated menu. 3. There seems to be like new thin chips, not great but better than the thick ones. 4. There is a chiller seems to be full of things, there is no idea what they are. 5. There is a shortage of staff in the final section should you need anything. 6. The plates and bowls have got smaller, of course it is to get you to eat less but shouldn't it be a choice, same for the desserts. 7. Right beside dried up Chicago town pizza and something else main menu they stuck apple strudel 8. There is a greater lack of what items are and needs addressing for reasons including what is there. 9. At the end we went to the toilet entitled restrooms' and no lights in entryway so I used light from phone and in toilet it was the same. I was told when I asked it couldn't have ever happened as it was closed. So my brother and I are called a liar how nice So while there is improvements it's still a long way off being somewhere I am happy to dine on AVOID, AVOID, Feb 2018: Well my mum went with my wee brother as he loves the sausages but holy hell she was shocked by the quality of the food they was selling and bad is the word to be kind. She didn't feel hungry that night she felt off then she was sick during the night. This is totally disgusting and when you tell them they just look at you hoping you will go away. Dec 2017: Well I want to start with calling this salty buffet king because the food in this China buffet is super salty and therefore not nice. Has gone downhill since it first opened, staff not very friendly, customer service rather poor, seems to be a case of get you in and out as quickly as possible. My kids like it, but I am afraid I find the food second rate, but what would you expect from a fast turn around buffet? Cleanliness is doubtful, I always get the feeling it's rather dirty. I have been to this china Buffett king quite a few times and I really think this is my last time I will be here. I have tried this one and a few in Glasgow and by far this has to be the worst one ! The place is an absolute shambles for customer service and quality of food. Me and a group of friends went up and it was busy so we waited a while in the seating area which was quite big so that was good but people keep coming on in front of us and getting served first which was absoloutley shocking we had waited about 10 minutes to get seated. Before we even got seated we got asked to pay and I was certainly not happy with this it's just not right having to pay before even having the food! So we got seated in a okay area as it was busy and their where 4 of us so we got our drinks and the. Headed up to the Buffett I had a look around and yes it does look big but it wasn't that big a choice of food it had all your usual Chinese food and your starters and salad and your desserts. I got tucked in and mostly was having chicken balls and fried rice and noodles etc etc and I love spare ribs so I went up to get some and seated back down all excited to try them but my god!! They where cold and had hardly any meat on them and they tasted like they they had been dipped in fairy liquid I was absolute disgusted and to be fair a lot of the food was cold. I also don't meant to come across as racist or anything but I felt it was very mouldy cultural the man who greeted us in was Greek I think and the person I paid was Chinese and then the person who took our plates and gave our drinks was Eastern European it just felt very wrong and weird I don't have anything against any nations or people let's get that straight but I expected more Chinese origin as it is china Buffett kind I don't know. Overall it was the worst restaurant I have had in in my life, cold reheated tasteless food and the place was too big it was like 3 dinner halls put together and the staff very rude although cleared the plates away and quick enough to take the money. Hidden away on the first floor right at the back of Xscape this is a fab Chinese Buffet. The usual choice of soups and starters, main courses (including sweet and sour chicken, curries, chicken in sauce) and desserts (jelly and icecream, choc cake, fresh fruit) They prices are very reasonable and good choice of drinks. Best bit about this place is it is right beside the inside ski slope and has windows looking into it all down one side, try and get a seat next to the windows and you can watch all the snow boarders and skiers! really good value, but one bit of advice.don't go very near to closing time as you seem to get the dregs. The wine isn't very nice so try and avoid that if you can. they had a nice selection of sushi once when I was in which ordinarilly you'd pay a fortune for. its fun as you can watch the people ski on the fake snow slope as well. read more

If you're hungry but on a budget in terms of time or money - this is the place to eat! There's always a good selection of starters and main courses available and you can literally eat as much as you are physically able to! The staff are friendly and helpful - and very quick to clear your dishes, leaving you free to go up for yet another round at the buffet. If you want your food quickly or are short of time these buffets are ideal. Pick exactly what you want, go up until your stuffed and grab a clean plate each time. Good selection compared with some other chinese buffets and it's amusing watching people on the indoor ski slope on one side of the restaurant. Reasonable price and quality, fast. read more

I had been to China Buffet King many times on Suchiehall St and always found it fine for the money.I wasn't too impressed however with the restaurant at xscape.There wasn't as much selection as I usually expect to see and the food wasn't very warm.Staff are only really interested in getting you in and out as quickly as possible and often try to take your plate before your even finished your meal.It's cheap cheerful food and if your in a rush then I supposed you wouldn't mind being rushed out but overall I feel that there are far better places to eat at xscape. read more

These are great value for money if you are on a budget and feel very hungry. Plenty of staff around to clear your dishes away while you help yourself. There is always a lot to choose from, the downside is trying to get by the greedy people that have been hanging around the buffet. read more

Its a chinese buffet, thats the thing that you have to remember, it isn't fine dining. However there is a hug selection, and being busy the turn over time is quite quick meaning that nothing is left too long. The 2 highlights, however last time I went 1 of the highlights was broken, is the ice cream machine, broken, and the second is the view of the ski slope. I normally quite like China Buffet King but I was a bit diaapointed as alot of the food was not very hot. The food looked good and smelled good and im sure it would have tasted good if it was just hot enough. read more
