Wonderful buffet experience. You don't hear that from me, and likely anyone else very often, but in…read morethis case, it is the truth! I am not sure how I have never found this place before now, but I can tell you that everyone else has. This place was packed! Parking was a nightmare. I cut off a cop and stole his parking spot. Yea! Stick it to the man, Adam! Giant community tables full of buffet goers. I wasn't sure if I could find a seat. I was impressed by the size at that point and then realized on the way out there was a whole second floor as well. It is freaking huge! When you pay, there is a little old lady that douses your hands with sprays of sanitizer. I did not care to partake, she did not care, and insisted. We aren't buddies. You can see the stank face she gave me. I don't care though, hater gonna hate. The buffet is rich with country foods. I was in love from the jump. Fast moving buffet food is my jam. They had all the things I like and tons of other things you folks like. I made two trips, I barely got most of the second down so I didn't get to enjoy dessert. That's ok, I like protein way better than sweet things. Thank you Allah for statin drugs! I had all the fried things! Fried chicken livers are some of my faves, especially if there is mashed potatoes and gravy involved. The fried chicken itself was great. Hell it was all good. I see why it's so damn busy. I think it was like $16 maybe. That's with a drink and endless food and dessert. My server was such a sweet lady and the bus staff were great too. They made sure you didn't want for anything and never had a dirty plate in front of you. I will be back as soon as possible. Planning a visit now! '26 - 102

While in line for the buffet one of the workers slipped and fell, dumping a container of corn down the back of my friend's pants. They were ruined. The manager told her "accidents happen." At the very least he could have given her meal free. But he did nothing, barely apologizing. She will never eat there again.

Lets face it, Philadelphia, Mississippi, is in a rural, backwoods area of Mississippi. Pine trees…read moreand woods are mostly all you see as scenery traveling the highways getting here. Our destination was the Neshoba County Fair, a historic happening in Mississippi that I've heard about all my life but never attended. The fair has been going on since 1889 and features food, fair, entertainment, political speaking, friendly people and harness racing among other activities. When I was growing up, 60 years or so ago, harness racing was a local sport at the fairgrounds in Corinth, Mississippi. Over the years, it has become a rare event around the state and I came here mainly to refresh my memories. As you drive down the highways to Philadelphia, you suddenly do a double take by a most striking architectural sight which seems totally out of place. Shaped like a curving wave that rises to a peak of 20 stories or more with a globe 8 or 10 stories high dangling from the peak. The globe I finally figured out was symbolic of the moon but the overall structure is quite unusual and visually striking. Our reservations were at the Silverstar which is directly across the highway from the Golden Moon Hotel and Casino which is the structure I just described. The Silverstar is an almost identical sized casino and hotel but not as big or unusual. Both casinos are owned by the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians and an elevated walkway over the highway connects both of them. All of the land in central Mississippi was once part of the Choctaw Indian nation at the time the United States came into existence. The United States government eventually pressured the Choctaw Indians, over a period of years, to cede over 23 million acres of land to the Federal government. Most of the Choctaws were moved to Oklahoma, west of the Mississippi River, by the 1830's. A small group of Choctaws refused to move to Oklahoma and remained in Mississippi living on 35,000 acres of historic homelands held in trust for the Choctaws by the Federal government. Our visit here was primarily for accommodations. The hotel is very nice, rooms are large, beds are comfortable, the bathrooms are very nice. Everything was clean and first class. I would rate the hotel 4 stars by most any standard. Check in was smooth and staff were friendly. I spent a little time playing slots and my son walked to the Golden Moon and enjoyed the poker gaming. We enjoyed our visit and would return again.

It was definitely worth the drive. The steaks were delicious and we really enjoyed the sweet potatoes as well. The service was great and very friendly. Most of the locations and maps kept taking us to the wrong place. As you come through Sebastopol ignore the GPS trying to take you to the empty lot in town and just keep driving. The restaurant is about a mile or so South of town on the right side (West side). One last thing, to all of those who complained about the salad bar, get over it. You're in Mississippi and not New York. It wasn't overly fancy but for a simple salad at it was fine. You're probably not driving here for the lettuce anyway. I guarantee you that you'll go away satisfied.

I only eat here occasionally , as the prices are way off. This is a small town, I think they need to realize my friends ,family, their "neighbors " , we all like the food but we will certainly go another 20 minutes to buy the same sort of foods they serve at a cheaper price and of better quality. Highly recommend the grilled seafood and fish. My meat lovers, sons and husband, recommend a different location, going by the price of their steaks /fush/ burgers, my family says it's worth it to go a few miles further to dine than to pay the expensive price HTP, simply put HTP is way to expensive for the quality . My opinion is I live the salmon, salad bar, but a little pricey, as my family says. Staff at window and the older workers/owners are usually friendly. Some need to realize customers are not as they may seem, we may have $ to spend there, some friends have mentioned they go elsewhere due to one or two people who received their order and no eye contact, no manners, It's simply not a great idea to be unfriendly. Great broil/bouled/ grilled fish for sure ,though
