Bamboo Express - Shrimp Hibachi lunch - Chinese Near Me - Canton, Mississippi

I knew it was a probably a dumb decision to risk going to this restaurant a third time, but nonetheless, I did it because we do not have many options in this area. I've had the sesame chicken, a noodle dish and on this occasion I tried the coconut shrimp. I have not had a good meal from them yet. Most of the pieces of shrimp I received are so hard and stale from being cooked some time ago that I cannot pierce them with a metal fork. The "plain" rice is not sticky rice like one would expect, but plain, hard white rice. My first experience here was about a year ago and I got the sesame chicken - when I called the restaurant to inform them that my chicken was still pink in the middle, the lady argued with me that it could not be true. Absolutely horrible. read more

Bamboo Express - Impenetrable coconut shrimp - Chinese Near Me - Canton, Mississippi

Ordered delivery via DoorDash. Got our food very quickly which means it was likely already cooked. Pork fried rice was the best thing. Cheese wonton were OK. Mongolian beef was about 4 bites shy of being just Mongolian Veggies. Sesame chicken was soggy. Egg rolls were small. Updated: Tried again. Added a star. Got shrimp hibachi. Fried rice with it was great. Shrimp was overcooked. Singapore noodles were great. Gyoza was great. read more

I didn't want to post an entirely new review. I only wanted to upload the latest image of the Chicken Lo Mein dish I tried. However yelp is just insistent every time I try a new dish I leave a new review. That's unfortunate because some of their dishes are absolutely delicious and I rated them highly (see my previous review) but bamboo express completely missed the mark with the chicken lo mein. For starters the dish looked nothing like the image. They used a larger softer flat noodle and that was not the noodle on the image. The chicken lo mein picture on the side of their building (by drive thru) has a much firmer looking rounder noodle and it has broccoli and an assortment of other vegetables and the sauce on the noodle is minimal. The texture of the lo mein plate I recieved was off. The noodles were mushy. The sauce was gummy and in too much abundance. The only vegetable were a large super soft onion pieces and the chicken was not fresh at all and it was also gummy. And in just a few hours the dish had a horrible smell. As if it was rotten or spoiled. I took a few bites of it and tossed the entire dish in the garbage. read more

Bamboo Express - Singapore Mei Fun, added chicken - Chinese Near Me - Canton, Mississippi

I ordered from this restaurant for the first time using GrubHub. End result is Bamboo Express FANTASTIC,........grubhub HORRIBLE. Once 1.5 hours passed and NOTHING from grubcrap the restaurant owner called me to let me know my meal was awaiting pickup now for an hour. To make a long story short the incredible owner Edward personally brought my order to my hotel , after grubstank failed miserably. The food was terrific and this owner went WAY beyond what I expected. He didn't want to charge me until I received my refund from grubnot. This place is a gem and the owners care as much as our former President about those they serve. Thank you Edward for being a great example of a small American business! read more

Food was very good and fresh! I was a little hesitant to try the place bc it is attached to a gas station, but gave it a try bc they have a drive thru pick up window, which makes it convenient. It appeared to be very clean and service was quick. I will return. read more

I like it here. I enjoy their beef and vegetable, beef lomein, and Mongolian beef. Pretty decent and quick to serve and eat. You will enjoy the taste of Asia here. read more

Food is great and they are very quick getting it ready! The service was great and it's so close to my home.

Great new Chinese spot. Had lunch today beef/broccoli and kung pao chicken. Came with fried rice and egg roll for under $7 minus drink. Both were hot and tasted fresh. Large portions & quick service. I know, its in a gas station but I've had some good meals in a southern gas station. It was spotless. Well worth the short drive from most anywhere in Madison. Eat in or take out. They are just getting started hence the lack of reviews. I'm doing my bit to support these small shops during this Covid %j&7! as should we all. read more

The food is good, and the Chicken Lo Mein especially! I got Miso Soup too, and it's delicious! However, when the food isn't cooked right, the results are NASTY. Over an hour of sitting on the toilet with food poisoning and diarrhea isn't fun. read more

The food is good. Services is good. Overall, a good experience for the price. Garlic chicken was excellent.

My wife and I just ordered food from here for the first time the other night. It was a good experience, the price was affordable, the workers were friendly and the food was tasty. We got crab Rangoon and egg rolls for starter and we enjoyed both. My wife ordered the cashew chicken and I got the Mongolian beef. Both entrees were good, and the beef had a nice spice but a tad bit on the sweet side. We will def order again. read more

Ordered $30 worth of food for dinner Friday night and we substituted white rice for fried rice and it was old and stale. The egg rolls were not fresh either and the entrees were very salty. Very disappointed with this new restaurant in our neighborhood. read more
