This is a little bit hard to find this location it is in a strip mall to the right of the family fare grocery store. It is hidden with not a lot of signage but it is there in the strip mall to the right. I would say that the only downfall of this place was that it did not take American Express. If you want to be a restaurant you should take American Express. We had the pork dumplings and two eggrolls which they say are homemade. They were both very good and then the chicken special which was really just sweet-and-sour chicken but a very generous portion of it with some extra veggies. My girlfriend had some Thai chicken noodles that she said were not very flavorful. Perhaps they weren't Thai spice but rather were moo goo gai pan. Nonetheless it came with a boatload of rice and my family chicken was enough to feed two people easily.

I grew up eating here with my family because it was always the closest Chinese restaurant to our…read morehome. I recently moved back to Sparta and was excited to come back, but unfortunately the food just isn't what I remember. The staff have always been incredibly kind and welcoming, customer service has never been the issue, and that's still true today. Everyone has always been friendly, which is one of the reasons we kept coming back over the years. Unfortunately, the food quality the last two times I've been has been really disappointing and doesn't compare to how it used to be. I spent around $40 on this visit, and both meals were lacking sauce. The chicken was somehow both dry and fatty, and the rice was overcooked and slightly mushy. I ordered a combination platter and asked to substitute fried rice, which they've done for my family many times in the past. Instead, I received a regular entrée, so I didn't get the egg roll that comes with the combination platter. I also ordered a small egg drop soup but was given a large container, and the soup itself was so thick that neither of us could enjoy it. I'm honestly disappointed because I remember this place being much better. I don't mind paying $40 for a good meal, but this wasn't one. Unless you're a local who doesn't want to make the 20-minute drive down Alpine, I'd recommend making the drive instead. Even Empire Buffet has been more consistent in my experience. I hate leaving reviews like this because I've always had positive interactions with the staff, but the food quality just isn't comparable to what it was years ago. I hope they can get back to the level they used to be because I'd love to become a regular customer again.

The ambiance is pretty typical of any Thai restaurant. Tastefully decorated, not cluttered or tacky at all. The menu was a bit lengthy, but it was nicely laid out and easy to read. The prices are pretty comparable with other Thai restaurants. Our waiter, I believe, was also the owner of the restaurant, a very pleasant gentleman. He was knowledgable about the menu and offered a spice range of 1 (no spice) to 10 (extremely spicy), and anywhere in between. My son ordered the Drunk Mama dish, my husband ordered the Mongolian dish, and after asking if there was soy in it (and mentioning I had a soy allergy), I ordered the Vegetable dish. The waiter assured me they could make it without soy. It was literally only a few minutes when the dishes started coming to the table, piping hot. I had only taken about 2 bites when the waiter came over to the table, took one look at my dish and said, "Oh, let me remake that for you. I can tell this has soy in it." He whisked it away immediately. A few minutes later, I was given a newly prepared dish, without soy, and was told there would be no charge for dinner. I also received many apologies for the mixup. This is one place that genuinely cares about their customers. My vegetable dish was full of tasty, very fresh vegetables, cooked to perfection. All 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The spice levels were perfect, the presentation was nice, and the taste was outstanding. We love Thai food and have tried a lot of them, but this one is now at the top of our list. We live on the south end of Grand Rapids, but we will definitely be back! I'm looking forward to trying many of the other dishes listed on the menu. I highly recommend you try Jasmine Thai too.

I asked her to hold the carrots and add bean sprouts. She told me they didn't carry it anymore. I was devastated because that's one of my fave components on that dish. So I asked her to add chicken and just hold off on the carrots for now. She recommended the Korean noodle dish that had a small kick to it. When we got our food, I noticed I didn't get any chicken, the noodles were very dry with very little sauce coating them and there were carrots and no mushrooms.
