Timmy the Tailor is a diamond in the rough, a gem, a savior if you will when it comes to clothing…read moremishaps. This is his second shop located in Stoughton that has been opened for a few years and doing just as well as the home store in Randoplh. Timmy is one of the cutest Vietnamese men you will ever meet and to top it off he and his family are like magicians when it comes to alterations and cleaning services. When things are done there are no indications they been altered. They look like they came right off the rack. To date the most recent things I have brought in for alterations, and left all giddy: * A bridesmaid dress - beautifully altered and they stiched in a bra so I didn't need to worry about finding the perfect strapless. * A mens (RED) jacket from the Gap - which was perfectly altered and reworked to fit my figure. It's now a one off that would make the designers at Gap jealous. * A long vintage leather jacket that was just was too big was transformed into a short leather jacket that would make Opra naked look sexy. * A t-shirt and tank top had rips in the pit. They sewed they all up, nice and new! They also perform all the basic tailoring and alterations that do not require transformations, dry cleaning and custom made evening wear. Truely takes a craft they learned inthe homeland and make an honest living with pride. There is no cutting corners with Timmy, as well his rates are very fare and reasonable. They also take the time to contact you after you leave if they find out something is not going to work out as planned. Now that's service. If you go to the location in Stoughton, there is also an ajoining nail salon. So it's a nice little stop for nails and dry celaning. Although I haven't tried it, so I can't fairly review this part. But it looks pretty inside, and the patrons don't look the bit upset. So I'd say it's a go. Timmy and his family are also very good at remembering their clients. Maybe not your name, but he'll rattle off your measurements as if he was the Terminator getting his scan on. I also like that they take off and extra 20% off for their VIP's for showing some luv. You get this each and everythime you go in once you're a repeat customer. Timmy is a genius there is no doubt and he is worth the trip.

THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! I got my bridesmaid's dress altered here. The bride got her dress altered…read morehere. Her mom got her dress altered here. Another bridesmaid got her dress altered here. It was a chain reaction. WHY? BECAUSE SUE IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. Sue makes you feel so wonderful. She makes you look and feel comfortable in your own skin. The work she does is absolutely beautiful. My dress had to be taken in 2 sizes, and the halter strap needed to be shortened. If I went to someplace like David's Bridal, it would have taken 4 week, and it would have cost probably around $40...Sue had my dress done in 6 days and charged me $12!!!! JUST $12!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE!! Not only is she fast and inexpensive, her work is PHENOMENAL!! You would NEVER guess my dress was altered....The brides Dress looks GORGEOUS. Sue made her dress look EXACTLY the way she wanted it. The bustle is well-crafted and easy for me to do on the day of the wedding! She made it look great AND she made it easy to bustle!! Do yourself a HUGE favor. If you need ANYTHING altered, PLEASE go here!!!!

Then went back to try on and it was great so then about a week before my wedding I picked up my dress and felt so good in it! I cannot recommend A Touch of Design enough! Rosa and her wonderful staff have been absolutely…read moreincredible throughout the entire alterations process for my wedding dress. My gown had 5 layers of tulle and required a LOT of bustle buttons, and they handled every detail so beautifully. The dress fits perfectly and the craftsmanship truly made my vision come to life. Not only did they do an amazing job on my gown, but they also sell so many gorgeous dresses in the shop. My mother-in-law was able to find a beautiful dress there that Rosa altered flawlessly. My maid of honor and sister-in-law also had their dresses altered here, and every single one came out perfect. You can truly tell how much care, talent, and attention to detail Rosa and her team put into their work. Such a wonderful experience from start to finish and I'm so grateful I trusted them with such an important part of my wedding I'll definitely be adding photos after I get married in a week and a half!

I can't show you any pictures yet or describe my dress in detail since I still have seven days to…read morethe wedding, but Rosa and her team are WONDERFUL. I came in at near the last minute with a complex dress that needed a LOT of alterations and they saved my bacon. Not only was every layer hemmed (including the lace!) but they refit the bodice completely, including the cups, and adjusted my sleeve length and width to be more flattering, as well as updating the sleeve connection points. They gave me a lovely (and helpful) personal video for assembling my bustle since my bridal party is still out of state) and offered so much help and advice. It looks so amazing that other brides in the shop commented on it. It feels sturdy and well-made and I feel very confident about wearing the dress all evening! Also, Rosa was very professional and thorough in explaining exactly what needed to be adjusted and why on my intake, which I appreciated as a person who also makes my own clothes. She explained everything very well in lay person terms and was able to give me more detail as I wanted. I cannot recommend the Touch of Design team enough. I would not have a wearable dress without them.
