If you're too young to know what the OG Chimex was... it was a beautiful life back when the rainbows were black and white in the 90s and early 2000s we had Crossroads Mall... just kidding. But Chimex has always been bomb mall food! I'm so happy to see they overcame the closure of the mall and have their standalone business. You can't beat Chimex Bourbon chicken, fight me if you feel otherwise haha. Complete nostalgia every time I eat here. read more

This place is an amazing mix of Chinese food with Mexican drinks. The people working here are very nice and the place looks clean. Nowhere on the menu, does it say that shrimp is a dollar more if you order it. So when I get to the drive-through and I hear that my total is a dollar higher than what I figured in my head I'm like what is the deal? Go out on the drive thru board and put it on the board!! That shrimp is one dollar more so that people know upfront!!. It looks like deceptive practices if you don't. And for nine dollars I definitely expected to get a decent amount of shrimp. Not so much. For $9 I could have gotten 2lbs at the grocery store and made it at home. Rice looks rather bland and doesn't quite taste like it's been fried more like it's just been pan tossed and there's not that much veggies in the rice either. Definitely not their best night. And let's see if you guys can try to figure out how not to have the plates all slosh around....I pulled it out of the bag and there's just red sauce all in the bottom of the bag...I had to basically wipe everything down before I can get it even out and onto the table. read more

I've been here several times and each time I am greeted quickly and served promptly. The seating area is always clean and the staff always smiling. While there is often a line for service it moves quick. Security is typically present and most of time doubles as a greeter and doorman which adds to the charm of this quick service establishment. They have a full cafeteria line of your Chinese favorites as well as a new wing menu. They also offer seafood boils which I had not noticed before. Picked up Combo #1 with mixed mild seasoning, two thumbs up! Highly recommend this establishment for those who want a lot of good food for their money. read more

I usually get white rice, spicy bourbon chicken and Hawaiian chicken as my three meets and you can't go wrong. It's so good. I literally come here like 3 times a week just because it's real food. I do wish the orange chicken was crispy but that's why I stay to the Hawaiian. read more

Well I can't say the food is absolutely fantastic but it is inexpensive and plentiful! It seems to be very well received because there's always a line around the building to the drive-through! It's just down the street from my office, but I never go. One day hunger and lack of imagination got the best of me. I went through the drive-thru (cue Weird Al's "Trapped In The Drive-Thru") and read the menu board. It seemed highly reminiscent of a mall-type Chinese food menu (with a smattering of Mexican food influence). I ordered a two entree combo at the window, and got my food a moment later. I drove back to the office and settled in. It was mall-grade Chinese food. Nothing earth-shattering, but nothing nasty either. It was food. For the life of me I can't remember what I had (although I would wager it was something with chicken and something spicy, and there was probably some broccoli in there somewhere because that's how I justify meals like this). And that's largely the point. There was nothing memorable about it. I would return if I were hungry enough with no better alternatives, but I can't see myself having a craving for what I had there. I ordered the orange chicken and the sesame chicken they are very similar. In my opinion the orange chicken is just a bit sweeter than the sesame chicken but overall it's the same concept. My husband ordered the beef broccoli and bourbon chicken both are pretty good. The chow mien however threw me off a little bit on the flavor, different than what I expected but overall it was pretty good. Of course everyone's tastebuds are different so this is only my opinion. The amount of food I received is almost comical. Look at this photo. These are full sized 12" dinner plates. I ordered the "Take Out Bigger Plate Meal", but I had no idea I'd get 2, maybe 3 meals out of $9.99! Its good food. Disappointing order! Ordered 3-entree plate and a bowl for delivery, the 3-entree plate was supposed to be three chicken entrees. One of the entrees ended up as broccoli beef. I'm vegetarian, and asked for the king pap chicken without chicken and received sautéed vegetables. I expected a sauce and peanuts with the veggies. This was my first time eating here and it was just okay for meh, the food was a little bland for meh and it was too many flies in the restaurant. The Lo mein noodles didn't have any flavor what so ever & with that being said I will not go back. Love to drop thru here and pick up some egg rolls and the cheese wontons. Taste great, egg rolls are large and have good flavor and the wontons delicate and seem to melt in your mouth. Tried a dinner here also and it was fresh and tasty.
