I've been here twice and the first time I had a great experience! I attended a yoga class event where we used the sauna and cold plunge. Yesterday my mom and I went to use our gift certificate for a salt float and we were greeted by a not overly friendly receptionist. We were almost charged $170 again for the service despite my mom insisting that we had already paid. The receptionist found that we did have a gift card and were good to go and even then was not super apologetic. The float experience was wonderful! However, my mom did find chunks of dirt or something else in her tub, although mine was perfectly clean. I showered directly after the float but am still finding salt in my ears, which still has water in it and has become painful. Overall the experience was slightly tainted by the service and the irritation afterward. read more

Awesome experience from start to finish! Facility was clean, with a focused simplicity that allows the focus to be on your floating experience. As it was my first float, Brian did an amazing job walking me through the process and explaining both protocol and some helpful tips and context. It was really cool to have sort of a forced "dopamine fast", away from the constant clatter fo social media and push notifications that we live in. I wish I would have caught her name, but the young woman at the front desk was so kind. My mom was a bit nervous but that she would get claustrophobic in the table, but the employee walked us threw everything, was super informative, but most of all we didn't feel judged for asking a ton of questions. The tank is bigger than is looks on the photos. About 7ft x 4 1/2 ft. I recommend taking a lukewarm shower before you get in so that it's not cold. The water temp is perfect. Overall the facility was very clean, and well put together. I will definitely be back, and recommend East Float to all my friends! read more

I love Float Central! I was a bit nervous at first but Justin put me at ease with a step by step on what to do and what to expect. Within a few minutes of the float tank I felt completely relaxed and understood why Float Therapy is so well received. Working 7 days a week I just needed to unplug and unwind and I can't believe how relaxed I was while floating! Such a great experience. I had never experienced a float before and I was impressed. Float Central has a great quirky charm the owner is extremely calming and knowledgeable. He helped us newbies feel at ease and confident in our experience. The facilities are very clean and comfortable. I found it so relaxing. I had worries about being cold or it being "too dark" or "too quiet" but none of these things happened. I was advised to take a cool showers first to cool my temperature and I found the water perfectly comfortable. The light stayed on for a little while and then automatically turned off but was motion activated to make it easy when you get out. There is a light option inside the tank but I didn't need it. My wife and I were given an experience at Easy Float. Since this was our first time and that we both are in our mid-70's we called to find out what the procedures are. The person who answered the phone was courteous, professional and friendly. We went today and met Eric who put us at ease with his explanation of what to expect and showed us our "PODS". We followed him to our separate rooms, showered and slipped into the warm salty water. The time went very quickly primarily because the experience was comforting and allowed us to completely relax. So I went in this afternoon to float when I encountered a clearly irritated owner. Usually at float centers you will be treated with a warm welcome but today I was met with hostility and annoyance. First of all his prices are ridiculous. I've been to many different float centers and a lot of them have better tanks and cheaper prices. I simply asked why his prices were so high, and he told me that maybe if I took some business classes I would understand profit margins. Not only is that insulting but he is incorrect. How do all those other highly successful float centers survive with much lower prices? I'm guessing it's because he is struggling to bring in customers which in turn forces him to raise the prices. Instead of having a civil conversation about it, he wanted to suggest that I do not understand simple business principles. The owner is very awkward and he clearly needs to learn how to talk properly to paying customers. What a shame, I was planning on being a regular here but not a chance in hell is that happening now. I usually don't like writing negative reviews but this "amazing" owner compelled me to do so. Looks like I'm going to purchase a float tent after all. Save your money and try floating somewhere else. You want to have a positive experience your first time floating and the awkward rude owner will not help with that experience. Hopefully someone opens up another center soon because it would quickly eclipse this amateur floating experience. Trust me, their tanks aren't great by any means and are quite average. This is such a quality customer-oriented business. The owner, Seth, is a really nice and welcoming guy. If you're reading the reviews here, I urge you to completely discount the two negative ones. I don't know what kind of unfortunate misunderstanding they must have had, because none of their characterizations of Seth or his business make any sense once you meet him. This was my first time floating. I had read about it online and looked up places in Bend and Portland to try while I was visiting in the summer. I set up an appointment but then had to cancel it just hours beforehand, and Seth could not have been more understanding or accommodating. He let me change to the next morning without any extra charge. In fact, the whole thing was so affordable because of the generous first-float discount he gives ($40 for 90-minutes). I felt very comfortable the whole time and enjoyed my whole time in the tank and especially the time after my float, when I hung out in the main room chatting with Seth about floating and sipping on the tasty Kefir Water he had on tap. Really great place. Don't be afraid to go here and try it out. read more

What an excellent experience! I've never been floating, so I wasn't sure as to what to expect. The owner was very informative, offered me a variety of teas and kefir water while he prepped my room, and walked me through the whole experience. The first 15 or so minutes of my float were spent acclimating to the complete lack of outside stimulation. Sound- and light-proof, this forces you to relax on a level not capable without lack of sensory. I thought after such relaxation (and a nice nap) that I wouldn't be able to sleep; 13 hours of sleep later, I feel more refreshed than ever. The price is unbeatable for 90 mins. Amazing first experience! Seth, the new owner, went above and beyond to ensure my first float would go well. His establishment is warm and inviting, the rooms exceptionally clean and with all the niceties--robe, shower, bodywash, shampoo, ear plugs, and more. He gave clear instructions and had waters, teas, and fruits available when I came to my appointment. Additionally, because I had told him that I was very claustrophobic when making my appointment, he encouraged me to text him when I was in the area so I could stop by for a quick tour so that my comfort level would be higher. I took him up on his offer and he spent quite a bit of time me with going over tips and guidelines for a great float. He's very kind and nurturing. The float was an experience I find hard to describe. I told my sister that it was amazing, more relaxing than a massage. The warmth of the room, the silky feel of the Epsom salt water, the effortless relaxation and the feeling that gravity disappeared was a one-of-a-kind experience. I want to go back because I learned a lot from my first experience, especially about how to where a swimming cap correctly! (For anyone who uses henna or hair dye, there are additional guidelines.) I really wanted to like this place. I went two times with an open mind. First off the tanks that you float in aren't of the highest quality. There's hardly any airflow and his heaters don't work that well. In most float tanks you can't feel the water after a while. In these tanks I could feel the water the whole time. Secondly, I don't know if the owner knows how rude he is. When you ask him questions he acts like your stupid and you're foolish for asking him anything. He's very unhelpful and it seems like he feels entitled to have your service. Overall my worst float tank experience by far. Wait to float in better locations like Eugene and Portland. read more

Never floated before I came to this place, but I am a fan now! This place is great, they have complimentary tea for you when you come in that really helped me get in the mood before my float. I had a million questions and the staff was great at answering all of them. The energy in the place is amazing and you can immediately tell that the staff takes floating very serious.
