This was a gem!! The food is delicious and authentic and the service is just out of this world!! We are vacationing near by and randomly came across this place- we checked the review before going in and everyone was as raving! We could not find any fault in the food and the service and enjoyed every single bite. We will be back for their Ramadan special - even if it means driving over 100kms. It's worth it.

My Dad and I come in often, and we love this place. It's run by a very nice Syrian family. Food is fantastic, and they've got a number of menu items I've never experienced anywhere else. Definitely go check it out!!

I lived in the Middle East for years and this is authentic cuisine. Great food and atmosphere. This is my goto restaurant for Middle East food.

It reminded me of trips to the Middle East and food I've had in the homes of Syrian friends.

We ordered the Lahm b Ajeen w Jabneh, Zaatar w Jabneh, and the spicy chicken reinvented flatbread (which didn't even make it to a photo because we devoured it so fast). The texture, flavor, everything was spot on. The place itself is a small, cozy hole-in-the-wall with charming, authentic décor. The service was just as impressive, super quick, warm, and welcoming. I'd 100% recommend this spot without hesitation.

My wife and I came here for our anniversary dinner and we were delighted. We ordered the Chefs Special Sampler for 2 - basically giving us a sampler of everything on the menu for $90 per person. We were really really full and couldn't finish it all. Highlights: - Chickpea Fetteh: warm delightful mixture of ground meat, chickpea sauce, with soaked pita at the bottom and crispy stuff in it. It just explodes with flavour and texture. - dip sampler: the hummus and eggplant mutabbah were really good but that pocket pita bread was out of this world good. Even the tabbouleh was good and my wife normally hates that. - the lamb tartare was AMAZING. It was kneaded so soft that it was practically a paste. When you combine it with the nuts and red spicy sauce and eat it with bread the combo is winning. - grilled Kibbeh and regular kibbeh - both really delightful - the grilled meat plate was great. In particular the chicken with the garlic tahini was really flavourful. The kabob mushrooms and peppers on top of smoked baba ganoush was soo good. Loved the smoke flavour. They finished by serving us baklava sampler which was all really good. From start to finish this is an experience for the ages.

I'm a big fan of Lebanese food. We often have it for lunch. Because Yasma is only open for dinner,…read morewe lived here for a couple of years before we got around to trying it. But I'm sure glad we did. The flavors here are at a complexity level above any Lebanese food that I've had elsewhere. Even the common dishes, such as hummus, baba ghanoush, and tabbouleh, all contain ingredients and spices that make them stand out and add a terrific level of complexity. For example, the tabbouleh includes not just interesting seasonings but also pomegranate seeds. It was not the only dish that was served with the addition of pomegranate. There was also a delightfully spicy sauce that seemed to be comprised of both pomegranate and harissa. The chef's tasting menu is a terrific way to sample most of the dishes on the menu. Our favorites turned out to be most of the cold course dishes that were served in the first of three rounds. This included: - Hummus - Baba ghanoush - Tabbouleh - A spice tray with a selection of olives As you would expect from a high-end Lebanese restaurant, the pitas are perfectly puffed and delicate. The hot dishes included lamb and chicken and were served on the traditional garlic sauce. The tasting menu concluded with an assortment of bite-sized pieces of baklava. If there was one shortcoming, it was the wine list. The white wines seemed to be of a singular note, although they were offered from four different countries. Unfortunately, they were out of the French Chardonnay, so I might be inclined to bring my own bottle the next time, assuming they have a corkage fee.

Appetizers: - the fried cauliflower is amazing! - all of our kids LOVED the roasted potato. Great sauce that is drizzled on it, some meat or something but fantastic - the muttabal (which seems like a more granular baba ghanoush) is good. Wished for more bread. Mains: - the staff recommended fried sea bass. U don't think I've had fish before in middle eastern restaurants but it's quite good. The sauce that comes with it is delightful. - roast lamb with mujadarah is awesome. Very juicy and tender lamb. The mujadarah with fried onions is soo soo good. - I really like the fekkah that came as a side. Great texture - I personally liked the slow cooked chicken with cabbage rolls. Really yummy flavour of rub on the chicken skin. The meat itself was a tiny bit dry. We also got every dessert to try. They are all fantastic. My personal favorite was the kunafah, it's like fried shredded dough with cheese and honey water. Baklava was fantastic as well. You can't go wrong coming here and we need to support folks from Palestine!

I definitely could have taken half home and still be full. The plate comes with chicken shawarma on rice with a pita/saj, and Tzatziki sauce, salad, and hummus. The chicken and rice were flavourful! But the chicken was too dry for my soft mouth. Hummus had a little too much olive oil for my taste (at first bite it tasted like I was eating actual olives, which I don't like) but was overall creamy. I didn't like the salad or Tzatziki sauce but that's just my flavour profile! The salad itself was really fresh and vibrant and Tzatziki sauce is probably as normal. Service is much like a food court. Self-serve, self-seat, no water provided. It's a small restaurant with around six tables.

After I ordered my chicken shawarma plate, the counter guy was just walking around inside of counter. Other lady was preparing my Baba ganoush in the kitchen area. It took 5 mins finally he STARTED to prepare my meal. So strange. Food was good. The rice, pilaf had good broth flavour. But not like dull rice, it's simple pilaf. Hamus was very very creamy. Entrance is back door. Front door which is facing to 152nd street is only exit. That makes sense because their parking is back door side.

The other is chunky, moist and uniform in colour. What you get at Best Donair is the latter. The meat may be soft and lacking the flavour you get with the thin browned kind, but the rest of the donair fillings make up for it. So much flavour in the sauces. And the toppings are diverse, and pack a lot of punch as well! I ordered a couple falafel on the side just to try, since they are "Best Falafel". They are good, but maybe not the bestest of the best. Seasoned well with salt but should have more flavour in general. Fired nicely but I like them a little crisper. Overall one of the better donair joints in the area.

It was tasty but I found it very cold and that is probably because of the lettuce/veggies. I asked for lots of garlic sauce and lots of hummus. They were very generous on that. The meat was fresh. B got the chicken shawarma platter. He said it was delicious. He got lots of garlic sauce to go with it. Portion size was ok. For the price and size, I felt like there are other shawarma places that are tastier and better deal. There are a few tables in the restaurant but the restaurant itself is very small. Most people take it to go.
