-So what should we name our store?…read more -Hmmm, well, what services do you offer? -We offer, you know... mail boxes, etc... -PERFECT! I can confirm that there were indeed mail boxes, etc. at this Mail Boxes, Etc location. And good thing as I would have been quite disappointed if this store didn't live up to its name. The ect. involved boxes (of the non-mail variety), packaging, pens and even that fun poppy bubble wrap that we all pretend to not be completely obsessed with. But above all, what I enjoyed the most was that FedEx picks up from here on a daily basis. I would actually argue, due to the importance in my day to day operations, that 'Fedex pickup' should be added to the name. Mail boxes, FedEx pick up, etc. has a nice ring to it, don't you think?

Awful experience. On the 31 of May I have sent an important…read moredocument to be signed in Milan the day after from this shop. Neither the shop clerks nor FedEx cared to mention that there was a strike in France (where the plane would have stopped) and one in Italy, which would have made it impossible to deliver the document in 24 hours; but they gladly accepted 64.04 pounds from me. The document arrived at destination on the 6th of June! I asked for a refund and today (after speaking several times with the shop owner and FedEx representatives and sending a lot of emails) I received a Credit Note Freight of 13.66 pounds. I have called FedEx about this (they emailed me the Credit Note, after all), and they tell me they are not entitled to talk about this, and that I should contact Mail Boxes to talk about this matter. I'm sure you already know what the lads at Mail Boxes Islington will have to say. FedEx has to decide about this. Do not use FedEx, they're utterly unprofessional. If you can't avoid using it, for your own sake please don't use it in combination with Mail Boxes. It's the perfect recipe for failure. I would rate it "no stars", but it's not possible.

While the chicken is definitely worth a visit at this place, what I most liked about it is the wonderful service that we experienced here. The owner and the staff were super-friendly and not helped us making up our minds when it came to the food, but they were also just very attentive. We ordered the Piri Piri Chicken, which turned out to be really spicy. The house salad on the side was terrific...really loved that! Thumbs up! I definitely recommend coming here if you're planning a visit to the Odeon Cinema.

You know you want to! "There's a party goin' on right here..." OK OK, sorry. I'm just overcome with excitement. I've lived in Holloway for 10 years - in that time, I've seen the opening, closure and re-opening of a hundred different pound shops, the invasion of greasy takeaways and worst of all, The Gaff being replaced by a Costa. It's about time something good happened to Holloway and I couldn't be more pleased that Chicks on Fire have joined the 'hood. The food is simply outstanding and everything is made fresh to order. Their specialty is the fantastic chicken (choose from 3 marinades and a variety of portion sizes). I can't remember exactly how it's cooked (it's explained on the menu) but I think there's a combination of steaming and grilling involved, leaving you with juicy, tender meat and a gorgeous crispy skin - exactly how it should be! VEGETARIANS, reprezent! There's an excellent selection for you too from delicious falafels wraps, stuffed pastries, hearty salads and a fantastic mezze selection. Oh my god, those dips and that guacamole! My veggie partner was over the moon. Not to mention all the side dishes like buttery corn on the cob that pops in your mouth, rice and beans and the almost holy triple cooked chips (done the proper way, thankyouverymuch). If you're eating in, everything is served on big slate trays and it looks as great as it tastes. You can also choose from a variety of different sharing platters and they do takeaway too. Chicks on Fire is far better than any of these 'trendy' chicken joints popping up across the capital - the prices are much more reasonable (I couldn't believe how cheap our bill was) and you don't have to eat in the company of annoying foodie scenesters who witter on about the nduja stew they had at a supperclub in a converted toilet in Peckham (it's the new Dalston, yah), as they twiddle their handlebar moustaches. The staff are lovely too and are clearly passionate about what they do. The first time we went, we ended up going back the next night for takeaway! Don't chicken out, say bye-bye to paltry poultry, show your support for this great little place, or I'll give you a good grillin'!

The 'cheese maturing cellar' stocks every cheese you could possibly imagine and stores them at various levels of smelliness depending on your own personal tastes. It is truly a homage to fromage! For the sweet tooth's out there La Fromagerie also has a sizeable selection of cakes and pastries. By the shop window there are a couple of tables which are perfect for sitting down with a cup of tea and choosing one of these delicious treats to nibble on. Or if you're feeling extra extravagant then try one of their Valrhona hot chocolates- though beware, these are only for true chocoholics and pack a a fairly bitter punch. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a really high quality deli. The food isn't cheap but the quality is fantastic.

My neighbourhood cheese shop is called La Fromagerie and it's so much more than a cheese shop…read more Now, I only go to La Fromagerie for the cheese and today I purchased brie with truffles that is delicious. What I love about this shop is that the staff is helpful and friendly and offers lots of suggestions when you are buying cheese, Caroline really knows her stuff. Whenever I go into the shop I feel a bit overwhelmed because I'm never exactly sure what I want, I love that I can tell them what I like and they have several selections instantly in mind. When I say that La Fromagerie is more than a cheese shop it means they sell other things. You can pick up a dessert or order a cappuccino. They even have a few tables to sit and enjoy a drink and if you love the smell of cheese you will certainly enjoy that. The shop isn't very big and it doesn't take many people before it starts to feel crowded. Despite that, it's a warm environment and I don't mind wiggling around a few folks as I happily exit the shop with my purchases.
