Been here a few times now and it is the best ice cream around. Made to order, and that's hard to beat. Even the best premade that comes in tubs does not compare. This is as fresh made as it gets. This shop is also for the over 21 crowd, they will make your frozen treat fresh to order with a shot of your favorite aqua vitae. Butter Pecan with Woodford Reserve... omg, definitely on the top of my list of favorites! They also do a make it your own thats hard to beat, pretty much any combo you can come up with. Their Peanut Butter Cup is a winner too. The staff and owner are all friendly and kind. The making it experience is its own show and vibe as well. Watching them make your iced treat to your specifications is a part of the coolness of Chill Nitro. Definitely worth the effort and your support. *There is a parking lot at the end of the block as well, validate with the QR in the shop to park for free. 4.5 Stars rounded up for the great staff and chill experience 01124

Great location on 4th street! Inside is bright and inviting. I chose the strawberry shortcake. Sadly they were out of strawberries but it still tasted great. Service was friendly and efficient!

This was our first time at Nitro and it was a warm night so it was great to try this place out and sit outside on their chairs! Even though it was a week night, it was still pretty busy. However, even though it was pretty busy, it was a fairly quick turn around for them to keep the line moving. A big part of this shop is the experience that you get from watching them make your ice cream. It was a very unique experience and cool to watch! The actual ice cream had a great proportion of toppings in every bite. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 stars is the price. Like I said, the experience was very cool and the ice cream tasted great, but it was quite pricey. And for that reason, I think I'm more likely to try other shops in town before I would come back.

I love nitrogen ice cream! I ordered a small cup of cookie dough ice cream to share with my husband. It was incredibly fresh with nice sized chunks of cookie dough pieces. The store was clean and it's always cool to see stores make nitrogen ice cream. Service was friendly and fast. Since this is downtown Winston, there is no dedicated parking lot. However, there is a parking lot nearby that advertises a handful of shops will validate parking - Chill Nitro being one of them. The validated parking is good for up to 2 hours.

Really friendly staff to greet you! I went on a hot summer's night following dinner and it was POPPING. There's coffee, alcoholic drinks, ice cream, floats and more! You can infuse your ice cream with alcohol into shakes. It's super customizable on pretty much everything. The ice cream is made using nitrogen - I'd say it doesn't come out as creamy but very airy- very fun interesting concept. You can hang out in the nice AC and play a variety of games - we played uno, but there were other card games, monopoly, and others there. Lastly, it is pricey but you are paying for something very unique!

This place is just cool...see what I did there? Nitro made ice cream and milkshakes. Something just different and cool to watch being made. The girl making all of the ice cream was a total rockstar! She was jamming at cranking out orders. Definitely an interesting place to get some post dinner sweets.

On our way to Yama's, we passed Chill Nitro, and my son begged to stop. We had no idea what it was, but he was sold on the promise of ice cream, so in we went. The moment I walked in, I was greeted right away--always a good start! Looking at the menu, it seemed like everything was alcohol-infused, but when I asked, they assured me there were regular options too. My son got cookies and cream, and I went with pineapple sorbet topped with raspberries. Now, I won't lie--it's not cheap. Two small ice creams set me back nearly $19, which felt a bit wild. But the experience made up for it! They use liquid nitrogen to create your order, and watching the foggy magic happen was so fun. They even have a step-by-step guide posted on the wall to explain the process. Even though it's pricey, I'd definitely come back for the cool vibes and unique experience. Bonus: my son loved his ice cream, and so did I!

Chill Nitro was especially refreshing after walking in the Pride Parade on a hot and humid day! There was only one person behind the counter but she was peppy and pleasant and churning out the orders. Loved my Cheerwine ice cream topped with Marshmallow Drizzle and the sour gummy pride flag was a special and adorable touch. Thank you, Chill Nitro! ‍

I love Caroline. I love her enthusiasm, and no one is a harder worker. Her taking ownership of this place has pushed it up a few notches and I recommend it in person on the regular. (I work around the corner -- they're great neighbors too.) I've never gotten anything I didn't like, but I have been overwhelmed by the volume of possibilities so usually I focus on the flavors of the month or a current special. A recent foray into Cheerwine icecream was a particularly good one.

The Mrs & I went to WS for dinner, and I've wanted to try this place for a while now. So glad we did, it exceeded my expectations! The ladies working tonight were very informative and answered all our questions. I went with the red velvet and my bride had butter pecan. My choice was probably the smoothest, most tasteful ice cream I've ever had, and trust me, there has been probably a thousand others before this. My Mrs loved hers as well, and I tasted it, it was very good, maybe a few too many pecans, or maybe they could have been chopped up some? But, both of them were really tasty and watching the liquid nitrogen work was really cool. Will definitely be back when we are back in town

Three cups of delicious, made-on-the-spot ice cream with all the fixins with the aid of -320° F nitrogen. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable (I asked about dye since we're a dye-free fam & they immediately obliged). They are also very efficient. The line was long but each customer got the same service and well-made treat. Awesome spot.

I visited Chill Nitro as part of a Yelp Elite event and let me just say, I enjoyed the experience. There was a featured strawberry milkshake for the elites and I was able to get it dairy free. They have the options of coconut milk or oat milk. I chose oat milk and it was a great choice. They were out of dairy free whip so I got it without. It is the best dairy free milkshake I've ever had. Everything is made fresh and with nitrogen. If I'm ever in Winston-Salem, I'll visit again. They have other beverage options as well and I'd like to try a few. There were 2 super friendly young lady's working and they both answered all of my questions.

From the minute we walked in, we were greeted promptly and seated at our reservation time. They even had handbag clips to put on the edge of the table so we didn't have to put our purses on the floor - loved that! Everything we ordered tasted so good! We got the Rice Paper Tacos as appetizers. They came out looking like art on a plate and they were very gracious to tell us that there's not a wrong way to eat it. I got the Korean BBQ Beef as my entree and it hit the spot! My friend got the Modern Tuna Nicoise as her entree and it looked too pretty to eat, but she said it was delicious! For dessert we got the Passion Fruit Panna Cotta. It was the best way to end the night. We enjoyed our meals and the service was top-notch! Ambiance was nice-we sat in the outdoor area and they had a nice simple table display with a small table lamp that I was intrigued by. I'd never seen one so small but what I liked about it was that it didn't take up space on the table. Usually, the displays take up more space than the food sometimes, so I appreciate the little details. If you've never been to Betty on Burke-you must! I was very pleased with my experience and will definitely come back. PS- they validate parking so you don't have to pay the 3rd party parking system in their lot- HUGE plus!

We came here because it was rated highly on Yelp and near the old interstate we were driving on. Why not:)!? Korean barbecue bowl was good with some nice chilled cucumbers. Salty for my taste. Wedge salad was not really a wedge and our retweet for dressing on the side didn't work out. Also salty. Rice paper tacos looked good but were very hard to eat. Thank you Yelp for the recommendation. Not my favorite place ever but very solid.

I had looked at the instagram page before arriving and saw a drink that I wanted to try. I couldn't remember the name when I got there and asked for the drink menu. I was given a look that made me feel like I was wrong for asking for it. One of the patrons was nice enough to show me a basket with menus in it. I ordered the drink and went to find a seat with my friends. Even though it was fairly crowded, there was ample seating. One of my friends ordered the $5 old fashioned and ended up ordering several more. Definitely a great deal for the price and alcohol ratio. I chose the hoopla and then a sidecar. Both were well executed. I wanted to try some of the food, but unfortunately we had eaten before arriving. Several people we spoke to said the jerk wings were a must try so I'll definitely come back for those! Outside of the first interaction with the bartender, the other one was very pleasant and continued to serve us with no issues.
