Heading south we stopped for dinner ~ 7:30pm on a Thursday night. Close to 81, the restaurant was fairly empty. We were seated & our drink order taken quickly by a friendly waitress. I enjoyed the Triple Berry drink - lightly fruity. We both ordered Ribeye Steaks. They came out quickly, were cooked to order & delicious - although way too big to finish. We were back on the road by 8:15pm - happy with the experience. My concern about the restaurant was the condition of both bathrooms - my husband told me the men's was dirty - he doesn't usually comment on things like that. I found the ladies to be pretty bad too. Specifically, short & long term cleaning issues - age old dirt layered along the wall baseboards, stall dividers and toilet bases. Makes you wonder about the condition of the kitchen. read more

Happy hour you can get half off on most appetizers, even the triple dipper! Their new watermelon lemonade is pretty good for those into watermelon, very refreshing. Waiter was very nice and helpful. I think the only downer was how our appetizers and meals all came out the same time. I prefer to eat the appetizers first then have the meals right after. The tables are average size so with my family's meals, it was a bit uncomfortable eating since it was all cramped up. I think my experience was good. I just think it's common sense to serve the appetizers before the main course. read more

Really great deal with the 3 for $10 or 2 for $22 I think that one changed to 2 for $25 recently. My wife and I get an app to share, 1 entree each w/ 2 sides, & dessert to share for $25. Recently tried car side service got home and the food was great! Keep in mind that's ordering a steak (medium rare) through car side and it was cooked deliciously. Cheesecake here is amazing!! The four stars aren't for the cuisine, as culinary excellence isn't why anyone visits Chili's. This isn't to say the food wasn't good, but it's not memorable not matter what location you visit. My rating is for the staff and its dedication to excellence. From the manager on down, they worked to ensure the experience was top notch. The wait wasn't long, even on a major holiday, and our server took good care of my party. The difference between franchises often comes down to service, and this place does it well. read more

Wtf a GHOSTKITCHEN! So I had a taste for some chicken wings and did a GPS search and a place came up called It's Just Wings. I was in town visiting due to work. For work I drive a 27 foot box truck. So when I followed the GPS I didn't see a It's Just Wings I only saw Chili's. So I called the number for the restaurant and the recording said they were located inside Chili's. I'm like that's weird but no problem I wanted some wings. So I go in and look around and there's no signage or anything indicating there's a It's Just Wings in this Chili's. So I ask the hostess if there's a chicken wing restaurant inside (which is already a crazy question). She then looks at me confused and says no. So I step aside and call the It's Just Wings telephone number and the recording says press 1 to speak with someone. After waiting for a few minutes the recording was an in general recording not professional nor stating it was the recording for the restaurant. So now im getting mad because im like how can Chili's allow another restaurant to claim this location and list it on GPS then play a joke on customers. So by now im hungry and didn't want to drive this big truck to Pizza Hut or Domino's to get wings. So I decided to order chicken tacos from Chili's (yuck). While waiting for my order I hear a Chili's employee yell is someone here to pick up an It's Just Wings order. Im like wtf so the restaurant is in here. I discuss this with the worker and she tells me its a "ghost kitchen" from corporate. Im like well its so ghost that even your own hostess doesn't know anything about it. I would've ordered wings instead of that gross non seasoned cilantro taco with chicken. The workers were sweethearts this is totally a corporate problem. One - You need to be less ghostly about having that restaurant inside yours or make it a separate restaurant all together. Two - Imform/train your workers that there is a chicken wing restaurant inside so when customers ask they can give them proper information. NOTE: To anyone that also is looking to order wings, the worker told me wings can only be ordered online through It's Just Wings not Chili's. But overall im highly upset that I paid $17 for a sorry tacos when I could've had what I was craving in the first place, chicken wings. read more

Same as any other Chili's. My coworkers and I often order from here due to the cheap lunch combos. The food is ok not bad but nothing special or great. Was not greeted at the door very fast but that was no big deal. We came in for dinner around 8:30 on a road trip and had a very nice server. However I had mashed potatoes that were not fresh and my sisters fries was cold.... I had ordered broccoli with cheese and it was hard when brought to the table and cheese not melted, I sent it back and it came back not any better but at least the cheese was melted. Second time I was not thrilled with the food. Want be back but the servers where nice! read more

This location is a hit or miss. I've had a couple good experiences and some not so great ones. Today unfortunately was not good. One girl in our group found what we think was lettuce floating around in her drink.. One chair had ketchup and lettuce on it when we got to the table.. Everything was just sticky and gross, menus and tables included. Finally, some of our food came out. The pasta was cold but the flavor was good. Seemed to be getting better.. then our waitress came through 2-3 times until she saw that we were missing half of our meals, kids meals included. We finally got those meals 10-15 min later. The kids' macaroni must've been sitting on a burner because one side of the plate was SO hot it burned our hands. The waitress argued with my sister, said it wasn't that hot, I went to grab it, burned my hand too. She got mad only to finally set it on the table, touch it herself and realize how hot it was.. Not a dramatic person, it seriously left marks on our hands. The cheesy fries were one solid, hard piece of food? So those didn't get eaten.. Then as the waitress thanked us for our patience, claiming she thought she "had it all together but didn't," she takes a plate from one of the kids who was still eating. She did put it back when we said he wasn't done eating, so that's good.. She finally tells us thanks, have a good day only for us to remind her again that we had ordered and paid for a dessert we hadn't gotten yet.. I am so disappointed at my experience there tonight. The servers were totally inept at their job. Our server was forgetful, acted flustered and was not very attentive. Not to mention they kept pushing using that stupid tabletop computer to order our food and pay our bill... I am sorry but if I am going OUT to dinner I am wanting the full service of an actual PERSON taking my order and checking in on me. If I wanted to order on a touch screen and have no personal interaction I would go to MTO at Sheetz. I think the servers dependence on those tabletop computers has lead to them to not being trained properly & having poor communication and service skills. Having previous experience working as a server I am empathetic however very strict and expect a high level of service or at least personability when at a restaurant. It truly is a shame because I was very impressed with their new menu, and the quality of the food i received was outstanding... however I fear that I wont be returning to Chili's anytime soon. read more

They just can not get themselves together! Not our first time having issues here. The first time they shorted half my husbands meal. I called and they promised to send me a gift certificate. When it did not come I called back and got a BS story about how it must have been forgotten because the manager I talked to had "tings going on". We used the gift certificate the seconded manager sent us. We got what we ordered but it was nothing special. So we ordered out again last night. While we did get everything we ordered, the loaded mashed potatoes were ICE COLD! like they had just come out of the fridge. Come on! I don't care if you pack sides before hand and nuke them when I place my order but at least nuke them! This was not an issue of the food loosing heat on the ride home because we checked the temp.... it was 40 degrees fahrenheit. When I called to let them know I got a fake "OHHH NOOO!" I was told they would comp my meal but at this point I don't care. We will not be going back. I really don't expect much from chain restaurants other then my food be cooked. This place can not get that right! Their turn over must be super high because they have had the same "Now Hiring" sign out for over a year. read more

Since you opened a location in Staunton,VA, a couple years ago, my family and I attend 8-9 times a year. On each visit it's like we've never been away, some items may change on the menu, but the service, the food and the friendly atmosphere never changes. We love Chili's!!! read more

Made the mistake of working there for a short period of time. During this time, I opened a frozen bag of chicken breasts and found one with a spider encrusted to it. I told the manager and he tore the two breasts apart, throwing the spider- tainted half in the trash and handing me the other. Never in the entire time I was there did I see a single employee wash their hands. This is the kind of places that you are spending your money at people. Stopped in for a quick bite after a long day of traveling. Since Chili's is a national chain we figured we were safe with going somewhere familiar. Our server was also the bartender. He was very nice but it seemed like he was too busy with bar orders and not able to keep up with his tables. We ordered a queso appetizer - it came out with a layer of oil on the top of it. We asked about it and were told that it is normal (I've never seen it at other Chili's ). I ordered a quesodilla explosion salad that came out looking like a hot mess. Decided to try Chilis in Staunton VA yesterday on my way back north on I - 81 and was very disappointed! The restaurant was NOT busy ( only a few full tables of folks dining ) and was well staffed, however, it took over 40 minutes before my food arrived and my order was not cooked thoroughly when it finally did arrive. I had to send the food back so that it be cooked properly. The waitress was apologetic and personable, however, the overall service was very poor.... not the fault of the waitress. I expected much more from this chain restaurant. As I drive this route frequently and often stop off in Staunton for a meal, I will choose another restaurant in Staunton next time. I won't be back to Chilis in Staunton again. If one has a choice ... choose another restaurant. read more

Felt I should boost the rating here a bit. Yes, this is standard chain restaurant fare but its not as bad as the current rating. Been to this particular Chili's several times and never had a bad experience. Wait staff is usually attentive and friendly, and our waitress on this visit is very personable. The kids always find something they like, and I don't have any trouble finding a meal and/or app that'll satisfy. Overall Chili's gets 3 stars as standard fare but the Staunton Chili's gets 4 stars for the good service. read more

We ordered our beverages and an appetizer. We got our appetizer but waited at least 15 minutes before we had to ask another waiter if they could check on our beverages. Finally our waitress brought them after the other waiter told them but she had not returned to our table until they told her. Then we each ordered ribs and mashed potatoes for our dinner. When we got our dinner she had messed up the order and brought us ribs and fries. So we told her and then we waited and waited and she finally brought our mashed potatoes. Then the real kicker was there was no meat on the ribs, you could put all of the meat off of the ribs in a fourth of a cup. The service and the food was terrible. Total disappointment!!!! read more

Wow, what a disappointment! Me and my aunt stopped in to Chili's for lunch today and wish we wouldn't have. My aunt was upset that they no longer give you chips and salsa, so I ordered the Nachos as my meal (so I could share). For almost $10, I figured there would be enough for both of us. I was sadly mistaken, because out came a plate with 11 chips on it!! I could not believe it, but didn't complain until I tasted them. I can't eat really spicy food, so I ordered them w/o the peppers, but the chips had some horrible spices sprinkled all over them. They were so spicy that I couldn't eat them. How can anyone mess up nachos? My aunt ordered enchiladas and they were mediocre at best. Everything on the menu is overpriced, but if they food was good, I'd be fine with it. Hubby and I enjoyed our dinner. Staff was courteous, observant and quick to respond. We ordered our steaks medium. In a routine check on us, she noticed the steaks were more like well done and Offered (our choice and we hadn't said anything) to replace. Next thing we know Don, the general manager, is at our table taking full responsibility. He replaced the steaks. We got to chatting (I like managers who are approachable and will take a minute to talk) and he told us how he was new to this Chili's and was in the process of improving service and quality. He did not know that hubby and I had been to this Chili's several times in the past year and can say the service and food is really improving. Way to go Chili's Staunton. We will be back. read more
