Chicken ranch nachos
Matthew C.

I got the chicken ranch nachos for lunch and they were so good. The waitress was on point with all our drinks and food came out hot with no problems. The place was very clean as well.

Broccoli, chicken tenders, baby back ribs, jalapenos sausage with cheese.

For date night we went to Chill's! We ordered the trio saucea chip dip. My wife honey chrispers and was craving meat! I end up getting the small ribs, jalapeno cheese sausage, and steamed Broccoli. Gezz I couldn't not finish it all. But it sure did taste great. Our waitress was very nice and gave us some helpful options. We we're very happy and I was meat drunk. LOL! Thanks for a great time. The hostess was very professional and dressed nicely.

Food is always great, service can be slow but seems to be short staffed a lot which I understand they can't help. The servers make up for that with their kindness and great attitudes. I love coming here just to chat with friends and catch up.

Of all the chain restaurants, Chili's is one of the few that when one visits, one feels at home. And it is written that "Home is where the heart is." I've had an opportunity of having eaten at the Chili's in Boston, Massachusetts and of Miami, Florida, and both haven't disappointed me. On the contrary, I've given them my business by taking my college students to eat there (everyone paying for their meal) on the last day of class. So it was a pleasant surprise when I found out that Chili's would be opening in Roanoke, Virginia! Today, I decided to go try it out and see if it lived up to it's great reputation of the past and if the reputation of the ones located in two big cities can compare to the one in the Star City of the South. As we arrived at the restaurant, which is located in the surroundings of Tanglewood Mall, the building looked modern, very clean, and well designed, with large sparkling clean windows all around. It had its main entrance up front and a side entrance for To Go orders on the side of the building, with plenty of parking all around. As soon as we entered the building, the wonderful modern, yet cozy interior design of the restaurant, made you feel relaxed and comfortable. The host welcomed us with a big smile and sat us in a nicely located booth where we looked at the menus. They were nicely designed with pictures of some of the main items in the menu. It didn't take long for our waitress to show up to greet us and take our order with a big, friendly, and genuine smile. I ordered the Bacon Rancher: two juicy beef patties, six slices of cripy bacon, house-made ranch, American cheese, sautéed onions, and pickles. My friend ordered another of the same. As we waited, I downloaded the Chili's Reward app and signed up, after seeing an invitation on an electronic TV screen on the table that was also how the bill would be shown and paid at the end of our meal. A young man, who was also very friendly, brought our food to the table in a very reasonable time. And the burger looked as well as tasted delicious. The buns were soft and fresh, the paties were well cooked and juicy, the bacon were crunchy, and with lots of flavor, and even the slices of pickles were fresh and crunchy! Our waitress came by at the appropriate times filling our water glasses with ice water that, by the way, tasted like nice filtered water. This can't be said of many fine restaurants in town. For dessert, we ordered two small size Molten Chocolate Cakes. These have always been my favorite at Chili's. The young man brought us the desserts with sparkling colors highlighting the freshness of the desserts. It also was fresh and delicious. Just look at the pictures I took and one picture is worth a thousand words. The Chili's in Roanoke not only did not disappoint me, but rather greatly impressed me. One can say that the Star City now has the luxury of having a Star Chili's as one of its restaurants. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone in the Roanoke community and in nearby cities and towns. And will definitely be coming back for more!

Old timer .

Service was terrible ...We order an appetizer that they never brought us. After waiting 30 plus minutes for our food they didn't give us the salad or soup. Bartender said they were having issues in kitchen. We notice others getting their food and appetizers. She said she would comp us for the inconvenience but she actually raised our prices instead on the check . Then when we pointed it out she was little snippy. Disappointed to say the least .

Food is awful. Wendy's and five guys have a much better burger. Takes forever to get your bill and then we were overcharged. The waitress said wait I'll be back and she never showed back up we had to get up to go find a manager. While we were sitting there the bill kept getting higher with drinks added.

So it's been open for about a month now, but there it is still quite a crowd. The food was good and properly prepared. There is plenty of staff and they were attentive. We got pretty much what we expected for this brand. It's much better than Applebees or TGIF. You get a consistent experience and we're glad they finally came to Roanoke!

When I first reviewed this little Mexican Restaurant located in a Marathon Gas Station in Vinton,…read moreVirginia, they had just started out and its restaurant's sign was just a custom vinyl banner covering up the U-Haul sign of the business that was there before. Yet the word out there was that this hole in the wall little restaurant had good food at reasonable prices. After being awarded the Triad Yelper of the Year 2024 Award at the Yelpies Award Ceremony last year, an event that honored the highest-performing Yelp Elites, I decided that it would be appropriate this year to go back to this restaurant and write a follow-up review, since my initial review was one of my reviews that contributed to me obtaining this highly esteemed Award. Today, this Hispanic family-owned restaurant remains a "hole in the wall" dining establishment, housed in a space out of a Marathon Gas Station. Their delicious Mexican Food from their origins in San Diego, California, and their reasonable prices, remain the same. Yet now they have a professional outdoor storefront sign, and they've changed their logo somewhat. The word Burrito in Spanish not only means the Mexican food item. It also means a little donkey; and originally their logo was a cute caricature of a little donkey. This was The house of the Little Donkey Taco Shop and Mexican Food. Inside the restaurant they still have a framed glass with this logo painted on it. Now they've substituted the little donkey with a food burrito. I'm not sure why they did the change. Maybe it was to promote their burritos. But whatever the reason, their delicious and inexpensive, authentic Mexican food remains the same, as well as the simple decor of the restaurant itself. And they still charge for their chips and salsa, justifying the way it's done in Mexico. The complimentary Chips and Salsa is an American Tradition that started in Mexican Restaurants here in the States. As I approached the counter to order my food, the enlarged menu was posted on the side wall. A friendly young lady in uniform greeted me and gave me a warm welcome. She answered some questions that I had about the menu and took my order to eat in. I ordered two Corizo Tacos as appetizer and a Adobada Chimichaga Combo (Marinated Spicy Pork), served with rice and refried beans. To drink I ordered a Pineapple Jarritos soda. I asked the employee if they had any physical menus. And she told me they didn't because customer would take them home. I would recommend to the owner of the restaurant room have some small menus designed and printed, and give them out to their customers because they would be a perfect marketing tool to bring in customers and also increase their Take Out orders sales. They currently don't have desserts. Some restaurants do this in order for customers to spend less time in the restaurant and allow others to sit and dine, thus increasing their sales. The young lady who took my order asked me to sit down at a table in the dining room and she would bring me the food when it was ready. It was amazingly delicious as always, and for the price you got more than your money's worth. I highly recommend this restaurant for when you feel like eating good Mexican food in an informal, relaxed environment.

As I waited in front of the Host's station to be seated, a friendly lady came out from the kitchen, greeted me with a warm welcome, took me to one of the few empty tables and handed me the menu. It was four pages, but designed very colorful and creative with lots of tiny photos of some of the food items. To drink I ordered an Iced Horchata (Sweeten Rice Water). This cold non-alcoholic drink tasted sweet, creamy, and refreshing, with a prominent cinnamon flavor. First time I had it but I immediately fell in love with this very unique and comforting taste. As an appetizer I ordered a dish with shrimps, which I had seen being served to another table. As the main dish I ordered a Chori-Pollo, which was basically a grilled chicken breast filet topped with Mexican sausage and cheese dip. And a side steak taco. And for dessert I had the Churros. Everything tasted delicious with an authentic Mexican cuisine. Even the loud background music gave the place an authentic Mexican flavor and atmosphere. In conclusion, this is a local Mexican family restaurant where you feel at home in a relaxed environment, enjoying genuine Mexican food prepared by natives of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.

With a beautiful outdoor front patio and a second floor balcony facing the patio, it sort of captures your attention everytime you drive by it and captivates you with a desire to want to go visit someday. For me that someday was today, the "Cinco de Mayo." Considered a day of celebration with good food, good drinks, and good music and dancing, especially here in America. I'm not sure if you knew but the "Cinco de Mayo" is a celebration of Mexico's victory over the French at the Battle of Puebla. It symbolizes Mexican patriotism and unity, and represents the ability to overcome great odds. When I arrived at the restaurant, located near the Valley View Mall in Roanoke, Virginia, at around 5:30 pm, their large parking lot was already filling up. Outside in the front patio, a DJ was playing Mexican music under a blue tarp, and customers were seated at very nice outdoor furniture round tables covered with red and blue table umbrellas, drinking and eating, and having a good time under a beautiful blue sky with white clouds. I entered the restaurant through their majestic entrance to find an amazing open space interior design with high ceiling, many windows, and an elegant staircase leading to the second floor. The host greeted and welcomed me with a friendly smile and took me to a table in a wonderful location where I could observe the beauty of the entire restaurant. On my way there, we walked by the bar which was enclosed in a glass area with large windows looking to the front patio. Everything was designed to create a relaxed and festive environment in which to enjoy yourself by drinking and dining and having an amazing dining experience, alone, or with family and friends. Soon after having a seat at my table and looking over the menu which the host had given me, my server, a friendly young lady with a great personality came over to welcome me and take my order. I asked if they had any non-alcoholic drinks and she mentioned they had Virgin Daiquiris of several flavors. I ordered a Mango Daiquiri which came in a large glass, was thick like a smoothie, and a wonderful ripe mango taste. I love mangoes. They're my favorite fruit. So this drink tasted like heaven. To eat I ordered the Chorizo Dip, to enjoy with my complimentary Tortilla Chips with Salsa. And as my main course I ordered the Fajitas Texanas. Rather then describe them, I invite my readers to view my photographs and video-clips accompanying this review. After all, a picture is worth a thousand words. All the food was amazingly delicious and the server came by several times to check on me, as well as the manager of the restaurant who was very kind and hospitable. For dessert I had the Fried Ice Cream and that's the only thing that wasn't good. The tortilla bowl in which it came in was stale, and the quality of the ice-cream was poor, not creamy as expected. It also was not wrapped and fried, but just a simple scoop of vanilla ice-cream covered with whipped cream. I should have had instead the Churro Cup but my server was not knowledgeable enough about this dessert to describe it to me correctly and in the menu it had no description. But I didn't allow this to spoil my dining experience. I wrote it here to not only make customers aware of this but also the manager so he can take action on this room for improvement positive feedback to make the dining experience just perfect. In conclusion, I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant for its amazing atmosphere, genuine food, and wonderful customer service which all contributed to an extraordinary dining experience.

And this made the big difference in my perception of this restaurant and their entire culture. It seems to me that everyone is welcomed at Moe's, no matter the color of their skin nor their socio-economic status. And genuinely caring about your customers is something that is lacking in many restaurants and should be top priority in the selection process of their employees. Moe's first started in Atlanta, Georgia in the year 2000 and the letters of their name stand for "Musicians, Outlaws, and Entertainers." They celebrate the unconventional. With the belief that you don't achieve greatness unless you "stir the pot." This Moe's Southwest Grill is conveniently located in the Bridges Shopping Center, next to the South 6 Apartments at the Bridges. It is housed in a beautiful, modern red brick building with their restaurant sign high above in yellow, red, and black colors. High above their two glass door entrance thete is another sign that reads: WELCOME TO MOE'S. Once one steps inside, a sound is heard and all their employees with a big smile shout "Welcome to Moe's." The interior design of the place has exposed black ceiling, large yellowish tile floors and lots of orange and red colors to help create a happy dining experience. It also has lots of windows all around their interior brick walls with posters featuring AUGMENTED REALITY (AR), which can be experienced via the Moe's Rockin' Rewards app. On the right side of the restaurant there is a low wall that goes all around and in front of the ordering counter to lead the way to the large menu on the wall and then to the counter where you tell their employees what you want and you watch them make it right before your eyes. I ordered The Stack with Grilled Steak as my protein and many other items along the way. I invite you to view my photographs that accompany this review. I made it a Meal and got a side of Queso and a Regular Drink. By the way, the Chips are free with your meal, they are made fresh daily, and are thin and crunchy. They also have a complimentary Salsa Buffet, where you can get a number of salsas to go with your chips. And if this wasn't enough, their drink machine is one of those where you can choose an already known drink or make your own by adding many flavors. I found this restaurant to be a clean, lovely place to enjoy a Mexican meal in a happy and fun environment. And I highly recommend this restaurant for it's uniqueness and friendly service, as well as for its variety and quality of food.
