Chili's is meh, we know it's meh, but driving on a roadtrip through McAlister, non-fast food restaurants directly on our route are thin. Ordered a side salad and cheese fries. The salad was good, but I can't very well give them high marks for something so simple. The chhese fries were disappointing. There was congealed cheese on the bottom with fries laid on top. Oh yes!! I recommend this location!! We were traveling through during a snow storm and really terrible traffic. Thank goodness the Chili's staff seen how hungry we were. This place was busy for a Friday night at 9:00! We rolled in after the drive from KC, ready for some dinner, and Chili's delivered. Every staff member--from the host to the manager--was hustling and super friendly. My go-to order, the chicken egg rolls, did not disappoint (they never do!). We also shared fried cheese, wings, sliders, and a burger--yep, we were hungry. Everything came out fast and hot, and it all hit the spot. As for the fried cheese... a little too cheesy for me (yes, that's possible!). No knock on Chili's--I just think the breading-to-cheese ratio was off. This location is either short staffed or the current staff is just inattentive. Multiple tables had to walk around to find their own silverware...I think they were out of clean ones. If I could give a zero I would. We were on the way to visit our daughter in Texas. It started at the entrance; the lady taking phone numbers and names is having trouble with the machine. She says 25-20 minutes. Says she will text when table is ready. We have watched people who have entered after us get seated for 30 minutes. I go and ask how much longer and am told I am not in the system. I point to the bench we have been sitting on right in front of her. Some of the other customers who were waiting backed us up. We finally got seated. Waited another 10 minutes for a waitress to come take our drink orders; we were informed she wasn't the waitress who would take our food order. When you are taking our order it helps to write it down. When asked, don't say you got it. You obviously didn't. Orders were wrong. The side salads were wilted and wet. Overall only ok. Some hiw my order got lost or forgotten. When it did come out the steak was tasty, but the broccoli was over cooked and mushy and the loaded mashed potatoes looked like they had been sitting under a heat lamp way too long. Very hit or miss. Not just this location, but all of them. This is no exception though. On the occasion you get what you ordered, as you ordered it's not bad. Way too overpriced per portion. For the price of a burger for example, you should get one twice the size of what you get. So that needs dashed in half or the portions doubled. Same story with everything on the menu. The puzzling part is that they always struggle with getting the order right. And it's not a simple mistake when it happens. We're not talking a medium steak when you order medium rare or lettuce on a burger when you asked for it on the side. We're talking getting a lunch taco when you order a quesadilla or a piece of salmon when you ordered chicken breast. And they'll argue it. That only happened (twice) but the cost involved made the place no longer worth the gamble. read more

Never had to ask for anything, she was very aware and was always close. The food was actually very very good! My husband is very picky and hates to wait for his food if it's longer than 25 minutes he will voice his displeasure and even he said this is the best Chili's we have been to in a long time. I usually love Chili's. The server was friendly. I just did not like the food. I ordered the smoked wings. They were cold. I ordered fries and the were just ok. This place was a disaster. How can the floor get so dirty? I'll tell you how: We witnessed two different waitresses in our section clearing tables and when they wiped down the tables, they just wiped everything up and off the side of the table onto the floor. That isn't how I learned to wipe off a table, but apparently it is standard operating procedure at this place. If you are going to do it that way, you'd better carry a broom to sweep up all the crap (French fries, straw wrappers, crumbs) that you are throwing on the floor. Cleanliness is a real issue at this Chili's. The food was just OK. Nothing to write home about, but edible. The waitress that we had was weird. She took our order, someone else brought out the appetizer, and then about 2 minutes later our food followed. She commented that she was glad to see that the appetizer had arrived because she didn't know for sure if we had received it. She immediately brought the check and dropped it off, failing to even ask if everything was cooked alright or if it tasted ok.
