Beef fajitas (in box) full plate still needing a box. 15 minutes and waiting for the 2nd box.

This is the Hartshorne location. The food is amazing. Salsa is very good with just the right amount of heat and the chips are the perfect level of crispy However the service is seriously lacking. Once our food was brought to the table we never saw our server again. When we were done we needed boxes and had to grab someone walking by. Asked for 2 boxes. They brought one which was completely inadequate (see photo. Food 5 stars. Service 0 stars

Tacos Mexicanos, with Al Pastor.

A nice Mexican restaurant with friendly service and some more authentic menu items not offered elsewhere in McAlester. My favorites here have been the Chili Verde, Chili Colorado, or the Tacos Mexicanos. You get three tacos and can mix but I've found I like best either Al pastor or carnitas. The pastor was a little dry but had good taste. Otherwise fine with the lime and salsa. Chips are always fresh and the salsa is good with a little heat. The Spanish rice is closest to grandmas which is why this is grandma's favorite place. ;)

Wow! Really good food. Very surprising in a small out of way town to have good Mexican food. Milanesa was very good and so was La Cabana. All the meats had excellent flavor. Rice and beans, and salsa were standard. Also, military discount given.

Everything here is good. However, please rework your salsa verde recipe. It taste like it's store bought. This place has potential.

Don't let the atmosphere keep you from trying their great food. The service wasn't great, but the food was cheap, good, and fast.

Family of six for dinner. Able to walk in without a reservation. Seated right away. Friendly…read moreatmosphere. Server came to take our drink order very quickly. We ordered beer, the cucumber jalapeño margarita and lemonade with vodka, and soda. Holy Cow don't underestimate the size of the margarita. It clearly had to be shared. And even then there was some left over. Our table ordered a couple of single orders of steak and chicken fajitas ($10) as well as the Carne Asada ($14), tacos, and guacamole. The chips and salsa tied us over until the food arrived. The chicken and the steak were cooked exactly if they needed to be for the fajitas, the carne asada was tasty and filling, and the beans and rice were delicious. It was clear that people were enjoying their meals here and when there was one mixup it was corrected very quickly. This was our second time here. If you want a place where the food is reliably tasty, the service is, and the prices are very reasonable -- this is an ideal option in McAlester.

Ate at Gringo's (Sinaloa Grill on the receipt) during our summer 2025 trip to the Gunnison, CO…read morearea. Montrose, CO is a kicking town - lots of traffic, people on the move, it was a pretty warm day in early July. This cafe is downtown right off the main drag with a corner location. At the time of our visit there was quite a bit of street and sidewalk renovation going on. Reviews sounded pretty good for the place, so we parked and walked on over. Greeted and told to sit anywhere. The lunch crowd was coming in and the place was starting to fill up with what looked to be workers from local businesses as well as family groups and friends meeting up. We placed our orders and sat around watching the people and talking. Husband ordered a quesadilla, and I ordered a torta. i must admit the torta was smaller than i expected and I could tell the waitress thought i'd made a mistake by not ordering more for lunch ... i agreed at first. I ate the torta, there was pico de gallo and such to go along with it. The husband passed me a slice of his quesadilla (it was good) and surprisingly it was all enough. Nice. Went to the bathroom (there's 2) and it was clean and nice sized. Paid the bill, walked on out.

By far the best I have had in a long time. It will always be our new stop on the way between Fort Smith and DFW. I don't even leave reviews on things like this but I was just super excited to finally find something worth eating in McAlester (and open on a Sunday evening no less!). PS. My son had the Al Pastor tacos and said it was the best Al Pastor he has ever had.
