This place is amazing! I was not expecting this level of delicious Mexican food in a small town. The al pastor street tacos were perfect.

I had Hawaiian fajitas and I'm not sure, but not only did they not look appetizing, it didn't taste good to me as well. The beef, which I usually really like, tasted like there was no seasoning on it and somewhat chewy. My husband thought they might've already pre-cooked it, and set the meat in a steamer, but whatever the case, to me, the chicken tasted better and what little bit of pineapple there was tasted good. Also, I think it's the first fajitas that I've ever ordered that they didn't come to me sizzling! ‍ I left a good portion of it there and asked my husband, do you usually see me leave this much and he said "No, I do not." I like a quality shrimp, but it just wasn't there for me with their Hawaiian fajitas. I did enjoy my rice and the guacamole was okay, but outside of that, it tasted fairly blah! I'm also a salsa connoisseur, and ask for both of the ones they had, and really liked neither of them. We went to a restaurant earlier this week and I ate a large bowl of their salsa with a spoon, but just really didn't like either one of the ones this restaurant offered. My husband ordered cheese enchiladas, and he would give his a two 2 . He said there was a combination on the side of lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole, and cheese and he wondered what he was supposed to do with that in relation to his cheee enchiladas. He described the taste of his cheese enchiladas as if it were an afterthought. Needless to say, outside of our waiter, it was an underwhelming experience. We don't plan on going there again and really wish it would've tasted good.

Montrose, CO is a kicking town - lots of traffic, people on the move, it was a pretty warm day in early July. This cafe is downtown right off the main drag with a corner location. At the time of our visit there was quite a bit of street and sidewalk renovation going on. Reviews sounded pretty good for the place, so we parked and walked on over. Greeted and told to sit anywhere. The lunch crowd was coming in and the place was starting to fill up with what looked to be workers from local businesses as well as family groups and friends meeting up. We placed our orders and sat around watching the people and talking. Husband ordered a quesadilla, and I ordered a torta. i must admit the torta was smaller than i expected and I could tell the waitress thought i'd made a mistake by not ordering more for lunch ... i agreed at first. I ate the torta, there was pico de gallo and such to go along with it. The husband passed me a slice of his quesadilla (it was good) and surprisingly it was all enough. Nice. Went to the bathroom (there's 2) and it was clean and nice sized. Paid the bill, walked on out.

DUDE!!! This place is LEGIT Mexican food. Like right off a taco truck in San Diego legit. Excellent…read morered and green sauces. We all tried something different and everything was great. By far the best I have had in a long time. It will always be our new stop on the way between Fort Smith and DFW. I don't even leave reviews on things like this but I was just super excited to finally find something worth eating in McAlester (and open on a Sunday evening no less!). PS. My son had the Al Pastor tacos and said it was the best Al Pastor he has ever had.
