My wife and I visited Chili's for our date night on this evening. With all the advertisements for their "3 for $10" and "2 for $25", we couldn't really pass up the opportunity to check it out. Plus, it's been a while since we've been to Chili's. Service: The service was great. Our waiter, Wes, was awesome and helpful. He constantly came out to check on us. Food: So, I ordered the 3 for $10 (Lemonade, Caesar salad, Margarita-Chicken). Before ordering, I asked Wes on his opinions between the Bacon & Chicken Quesadilla or the Margarita chicken. I kind of wish I would've went with the quesadilla. The Margarita Chicken came with rice and black beans. The chicken was good and flavorful, along with the rice, but I don't like black beans. And these black beans looked like they were dry or cooked for too long. Drink: For the month of July, their Margarita of the Month is the Southern Backporch 'Rita, which is a blend of Southern Comfort, Lunazul Blanco Tequila, fresh sour and mango puree. The best part, this drink was only $5. Most cheap drinks are watered down, but this one packed a good little punch. Overall, the meal was just okay. Tonight, we ordered & paid online. 25 minutes after we placed the order my husband went inside. One single employee work the to go area & zero help. Our food was cold. The cheese had not even melted in the mozzarella sticks. They forgot the loaded mashed potatoes to along with the chicken crispers. This is due to poor management! My only issue when ordering is being forced to choose from dozens of delicious-sounding menu items. The only nitpick I have is a "Gratuity Guide" that started at 15% and ended at 22%. Have been to this chili's twice in the last couple of months. Once for lunch and ordered a salad. It was the smallest salad I have ever had. I figured it was the lunch portion or an off day in the kitchen. It was on a plate? With very little lettuce. Just went back last night and ordered a different salad ( neither are their side salad) and it was the same size! On a plate and maybe a handful of lettuce and a very small amount of grilled chicken. I called the next day when I was thinking about the bill being higher than usual. The manager pulled our ticket up and refunded the entrée. I have never seen a business go above and beyond like that! I timed it and after 15 minutes the waitress finally came to us. We thought our salvation had come but three Sad salads showed up. The house Salad had more cheese than lettuce. Three tables that came in after us received their food first. Finally, after 5 minutes our food arrived (totaling an hour wait. AT CHILIS) The cheeseburger came out and it looked awful. The lettuce had cooked, the cheese had hardened, and the bun was a rock. No one really ate because it was incredibly unappetizing. Once we all had three bites, We complained and asked to see the manager. This also took over 20 minutes. FINALLY, the manager came out and told us he reduced our food by 50% and gave us $5 gift cards. They continued to say the kitchen was backed up but There is NO ONE in that restaurant.
