I placed an online order the day before my order, it wasn't even a complex order, it was a burger and a triple dipper, and I've been waiting for 2 hours and counting. Don't online order here EVER. When you ask for the check, they will try to get you to pay the bill electronically using a device on the table. If you agree, you will not see the itemized bill until you have swiped your card, paid the bill, and received the receipt in your email account. Do not agree to pay until you have been provided with a detailed bill. Especially make sure they have correctly billed anything that should be at a happy hour discount. That happened to us yesterday. After I got the receipt on my iPad, I saw that we had not been charged the happy hour price for the wine. We pointed that out to a manager and the server. They seemed unhappy that we had even caught the error. We had to show the server the happy hour price on the menu before she would agree. They then said they would correct the price on the bill, but I noticed that they retained the tip I had originally chosen based on a percentage of the overcharged bill. They only decreased the wine price without adjusting the tip to the percentage of the new total bill. I called my credit card company to make sure the charge had been corrected. I was told I would have to wait at least two days until the charge had posted to make sure they had corrected the bill. Two days later I did find that they had decreased the bill to include the happy hour price on the wine. Be careful here. Correcting their errors can be a pain in the neck. The people who work here mean well, and the food is fine, but the level of competency among the employees is less than impressive. read more

This place is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Most people try to compare it to Applebee's, but there's a reason they have half price appetizers and dollar drinks. Every single time I come to chili's the service is down to earth and my food is hot and looks just like the picture on the menu. I always start with a triple dipper featuring the southwest egg rolls, big mouth bites and the honey chipotle chicken crispers. A great appetizer that never lets me down and when I come by myself it's my entree(: The Blue Goose coconut limeade is my favorite drink to order. This limeade is a little dangerous because it doesn't taste like any alcohol is in it. Since I had to share the appetizer this time I ordered the Cajun chicken pasta to share as well. It was great as usual, I just wish I had enough for dessert. If I did I would've ordered the molten chocolate cake. It's soooo good and very satisfying....maybe next time. read more

Chain restaurants aren't my thing. I love the small local dives that have a unique eclectic feel. Some work pals suggested an impromptu lunch at Chili's so off we went on a slow weekday. We signed up for some club deal and got free chips. We also were in time for the lunch menu and there were some good deals still available. Because of miscommunication on our end, we stayed longer than we intended but the server did not mind that we were taking up a table. She was very nice and helpful. I appreciated her patience with us. I was surprised by the options available for lunch. There were many items offered and Chili's even had a combo meal deal for lunch. It was difficult to pick a selection. We did not have to wait long for our food, either. The food was good and fresh. I had no problem with quality or tastefulness. There was also plenty of food, too. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meal and commented on the quality. The atmosphere was nice and inviting. The restaurant was not very crowded when we were there. We had no trouble getting promptly seated. The booths were spacious and you did not feel crammed into a small table space. Parking was easy since you park in a private lot in front of the restaurant. Easy access which is something I always look for in an establishment. This was a positive dining experience. It was delicious and comfortable. Great way to pass the time with good friends. read more

OK, up until the unfortunate things that happen with Roseanne Barr I was a true fan of the Roseanne show and one of the statements that I heard her sister Jackie say in an episode was called "hoodoggie" and every since that has been a word that I have used to describe when somethings surpasses my expectations and gives me a wow factor that I haven't had in a while. First of all let me say Chili's is not the place that I would originally go to technically it's not my kind of place but I get these moments where I want to have a different type of Tastebud sparked and so on this particular day I decided to order their Caribbean shrimp salad and their molten lava cake with ice cream. And I have to say they get a straight up Hoodoggie from me!!!! My Caribbean shrimp salad was so flavorful they didn't skip on the shrimp either it has plenty of shrimp vegetables fresh pineapple it was absolutely delicious and to top it off with a beautifully moist chocolatey molten lava cake what a nice amount of vanilla ice cream just tipped the scale into hoodoggie land. I will definitely come back to Chili's to try some more of their wonderful food. Not too many places have gotten The Hoodoggie stamp of approval, I just hope that chili's can live up to holding onto that title, because just as easily as I can give it, I can easily take it away, so Chili's don't let me down. read more

My wife and I went Friday nigh, first restaurant was really cold. I was wearing a hoodie and it was still really cold. Service was terrible, had to ask for our drinks twice and we finally got them after our food had arrived. We arrived at 5:04 pm and it took 2 minutes for us to be seated in a booth. And then we waited 10 minutes for our waiter to take our drink order. Finally the manager told us we were without drinks and got our waiter and we apologized multiple times then we took our drink order and our food order we got the skillet queso. For our main entree I ordered a house salad with double ranch and a side of fries. My dad ordered the buffalo chicken ranch sandwich with fries. Our food was delicious. You need to train your employees better and let them know which table they are supposed to service. read more

die hard chilis fan for my whole like- but if I could give this location a 0 star rating, I would. I even know where to start. we got seated fast after than we got our drinks for the rest of the night. empty cups within 10 mins yet we never got a single refill. our sever was god awful -mind you we were in there for an hour and a half- and I had finished my first drink in 5 mins and never got another one. we got chips and queso that was so cold it had solidified. before our entree's made it to the table we asked for more chips and didn't get them till 2 minutes before we left because our server said she was waiting for the kitchen to make more but I could see from our booth (in direct view of the kitchen) that other servers were serving chips that had just been refilled. she just never got them for us until we asked again on our way out. we had to wait several minutes after our entrees were delivered for utensils because they weren't given to us when we were seated or with our appetizers. I ordered a steak with fries and mash potatoes my steak was the driest food i'd ever eaten and it was cold. it tasted like it was sitting for an hour and my mashed potatoes where lukewarm and had no taste. fries were flavorless and tasted old. so dissatisfied and won't be returning. read more

We came to eat at the Lawrence, KS Chili's on the evening of 4 November 2022. We got there about 8:00pm, I'd guess, and were finished by 8:53pm. The restaurant was busy, so we knew it could take a while. The waitress told us right away that they were out of silverware. We ordered our food and found out that they were out of the tortilla soup and the chili. I ordered the potato and it was still available. The waitress brought us packs of silverware (knife and fork), but no napkins. Then she brought our soups and it turned out they had just enough of the tortilla soup to give my wife about 2/3 of a cup. They gave me a full cup of the potato soup. We said that we didn't have spoons and the waitress said she would get them. After about 3 minutes, I went to the little waitress station and got napkins and checked to see if there were any spoons. There were not any spoons. My wife told another worker that we didn't have spoons and she said she would get them. At just about 6 minutes from the time the soup was delivered, our waitress and the other lady both brought us spoons. We apologized to the other lady and thanked her. Both soups were still just warm enough to eat, but they really weren't good, like they usually are. Our food arrived a short time later and my burger and fries were delicious. My wife's quesadillas were only okay. They didn't come with any salsa and they only had some lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. I ended up eating the last two sections of her quesadillas and they weren't too bad. This was not the waitresses' fault at all. I don't know what has happened to this Chili's. This is the second visit in maybe six months and both visits were considerably less than stellar. We don't really think this place is worth the money any longer. read more

We were a large party and the restaurant wasn't terribly busy. (I've worked in the restaurant industry for a number of years) I would rate this chili's a Two star out of five because of the service by the most underwhelming server Alex. While waiting for my order I seen a cook who did not have gloves on in the kitchen wipe sweat off of his forehead with a piece of cooked meat in his hand. Our food was cold and half of the order was missing. I called and spoke to a manager by the name of Angela about the cook being unsanitary. I called again the next day and spoke to a manager who told me her name was Melody, she agreed to refund my money on my card. After a few hours and the money not being added by to my card, I called and ask to speak to her again. The guy who answered the phone said there is nobody by that name that works there. We have been regular visitors to this location for years. Over time we have seen a very sharp drop in everything to do with this restaurant. Most recently we went and everything was going fine until the food came out. The waitress brought out my wife's meal and then brought me some fries and informed me that one of the servers had dropped my burger on the floor. I understood and, being a former manager in a restaurant, I know mistakes happen. It was the way they handled the situation, however, that really irked us. The server offered me chips and salsa, but at this point I just wanted my burger so we said no thank you and just said we would wait for the burger. I wish they had not brought out my wife's meal though because she obviously did not want to eat without me so it just sat there and got cold. The burger did come out rather quickly after being remade but it did seem rushed. The egg was not runny as if they used an old one that had been sitting in the warmer a while. The manager came over but not once did she say sorry and rather made jokes about hearing the burger drop on the floor. This left a bad taste in our mouth because she seemed to care less about how we were doing and more about her comical moment of the day from seeing the burger fall on the floor. We finished our meal and proceeded to pay and saw that nothing was taken off. I did not expect anything free but it would have been nice to get a dollar or two off, especially considering the manager had come to speak to us about the situation. I suppose not though so we paid and proceeded to leave. As we got up to leave we were avoiding a small mess the baby next to us made and the manager came by and talked about how she asked for bigger brooms for the aisles but they said no. Honestly, I could care less but it was very unprofessional to talk bad about her own place of employment. Not once did she say sorry for the situation and she did not even say thank you as she walked behind us on our way out. We even made it all the way out the door before the hosts, who were chatting around and not paying attention, said thanks for coming in. Sadly, this Chili's probably needs a makeover in management and a few other areas. It is very plain to see why they are not full anymore on a Friday night. read more

My husband and I typically love chili's however tonight was a different story. We went in around 6:30 pm on a Sunday evening. The restaurant was not busy at all, in fact they seemed closed. No one in sight when we walked in and after about a minute or so a server comes over from the side of the restaurant and promptly seats us and said a sever would be right with us. Again, it took around 5 minutes before our server even greeted us. Rest of the experience there was ok but continued to be pretty slow for them not being busy. BUT here is where it gets really frustrating, my husband and I decided to leave using the Togo door since we parked in the back due to having a trailer hooked up. As we walk over, every server, INCLUDING OUR SEVER (we wish we would have got his name) were just sitting around on their phones and/or eating. No wonder it took so long for everything!!! Again we love chili's so I guess we will be back but it was very displeasing experience, we will make sure to express this to management so it will never happen again and will hopefully have a better experience! If there were a way to give negative starts I would. My husband used to manage this Chili's back when it was still corporate owned, before it became a franchise. It's a shame to see that the new franchise owner does not think it's necessary to maintain the building and grounds. The new owner is obviously hiring non professional and non proven people in the roles of management. I'm sure they are not paid nearly what my husband was 16 years ago either. You do get what you pay for. The General Manager rarely works evening and sporadically during the weekend. The team has no cohesion and have very poor training. The food is basically a predetermined assembly operation anymore, with very little skill required. Most of it delivered in such a way that only heat and assembly is needed. The General Manager seems to like the idea of the job rather than actually doing the job. She is unprofessional and should seek another line of employment rather than with the public. A sad drawn out end to what was a good concept and a good unit. read more

My wife and I both ordered a sirloin steak medium rare. The server brought us the steak and asked us to cut into the steaks to see it they were cooked right. Both were rare. My wife sent her steak back but since I was hungry I said that it would be fine until I noticed all the blood pooling around the potatoes and vegetables. The manager ask whether she could do anything which she should have either automatically offered to bring us properly cooked food or comp'ed the meals.
