Done trying to eat here. I got food poisoning a while back and didn't return for a good while. Finally go back and the bartender Bonnie was like my one reason for going. Food was ok, but her bubbly self was why I went. She was just a pleasure to be around. Unfortunately she ended up moving. Tried to go back after she left and was presented with a man who may or may not be bating for the same team. Good for him. Thought he'd be nice. Wrong. He seems to have a vendetta against straight people unless the couple has a cute boy. It was bizarre how he seemed to dislike people without knowing them. The new girl is high, off, or never had social skill implemented in her life. No clue what's with her, but she's rude and gave me the creeps. Normal people don't do over exaggerate facial expressions when ever people talk. She also acted like I expected her to just not charge me for stuff? Not one of us ever mentioned it. Not one of us ever implied it. We were just ordering and she's like "oh uh I have to charge you for that" while doing one of those creepy exaggerated expressions. We were all like "yeah.We know?" Like I have autism and I'm not great with social situations, but she would give me a run for my money in that department. As of today I'm done with chili's in Jacksonville. There was hair in my food. It wasn't even my main meal. It was just something small I got to eat beforehand. We tried to tell the bartender and instead of listening she just slammed chips down in front of us and walked away. Then when she came back again my husband had to practically yell to get her attention. After which she just took the bowl and mentioned something about getting another. Yes because I totally still want to eat here now. Went to the manager and he acted like I was telling him my life story and was so bored. I don't need monotoned disdain. I need you to listen to me. HAIR. WAS. IN. THE. FOOD! That's not a casual oops my bad! It's not ok! Also before anyone can even imply I did this myself. I have long light ish brown hair. Pretty sub par for a chain restaurant. We ordered a couple aps and drinks. All tasted good. I would have given four stars, but the last two times we have gone we have had about three to four servers per table? It causes confusion and the last time we ordered and they forgot to put in the order and it was forgotten for about thirty minutes until we inquired about where our meals were. They were out of the entrée my husband wanted to order so he got wings instead, the boneless wings came out very dark and looked old and tasted old. We went to order dessert and were told they were out of the dessert we wanted. We stood at the hostess counter for while when we first came in with no hostess in sight. My son never got a refill on his drink and they sat us beside some dirty dustpans and brooms that were right out in the open. I explored the curbside for the first time at chili's and I recommend that you check your order thoroughly before leaving. Three of our 5 meals were wrong or had missing items. It's not easy digging through the bag and looking at all meals but I suppose it's necessary not to mention it defeats the convenience and efficiency of this process. The food was ok (typical Chili's food). I'd hate to think that customers would have to check every meal every time they used this service but this was not just one thing wrong it was several. Appetizer was disappointing, the cheese bites tasted like fritos corn chips the chicken was like chewing gum, and the onions were bland and disgusting, the celery looks like it got obliterated. This is one of the worst Chili's I have ever been to. The soup was watered down, and the Texas cheese fries were stale with a hardened layer of cheese. The best thing about the dinner here was the trivia game that I played on the electronic device on the table. It is the only reason this place deserved a star. read more

I have been to NUMEROUS Chili's NATIONWIDE since the early 80's. Of course as the years went by so has Chili's food and service. Well today I walked into this Jacksonville NC store and basically walked right back out. My marine son and I stopped in for a late lunch. We had never been to this one. Jacksonville is packed full of chain restaurants but Chili's is USUALLY consistent. This Chili's had the dirtiest bar, bar stools, floors, windows, barback, even the Plastic margarita shakers were disgustingly filthy stacked on the bar presumably clean. Are you kidding me? Came here for dinner last night, there was quite a long wait and the restaurant was crazy crowded. Our waitress (I can't for the life of me remember her name, but she wore glasses and her hair was up) was FABULOUS. She was so sweet, she was quick, and at the end of the night she sent me home with a fresh bag of chips, and a fresh thing of salsa to go along with my left over guacamole! First, we ordered the fried pickles. They were absurdly greasy and there was no batter or breading. I got a dish of hot, greasy pickled. It was gross. Second, I ordered the cheeseburger bites for my daughter. The picture had cheese on them and they're called "cheeseburger bites" so, why didn't hers have any cheese on them? Also, the bread they come on is 3 or 4 times as thick as the tiny patty. It's ridiculous. I ordered my burger without the lettuce, tomato or mayo sauce. Guess what it came with? All three. At least I got the cheese on mine. My burger was literally dripping with grease. It was pretty gross. We have been to this restaurant way too many times with crappy service. The first few times we let it go, but last week will was the last time my husband and I will step foot in this location again. We went last Monday night with some of his friends. Took a minute to be greeted but it was close to 9pm, so I get that. We were put in the corner half booth, half table. No big deal. We order drinks and apps, it seemed like it took over 10 minutes to get drinks on the table. Again, no big deal. We got our apps soon after, and as we were casually holding conversation a ROACH ran across our table and onto our friends arm. He didn't make a scene, another friend simply got up and went over to the manager. The manager walked over to the table and didn't really seem to care about the now (dead) roach laying on the floor. He just kept saying "oh man, I'm sorry. We get it sprayed in here 2x a week for this stuff." He moved us to the other side of the restaurant away from where the incident took place. We should have paid for our apps then and left. I get you're a server and are there to make money. That's my profession. But NEVER in a million years would I express to my own guest that just had a roach land on them "This is going to make me lose my tip." No, not necessarily. Handle the situation like it should and you'll be fine. Nope, our server kept going ON AND ON about how they have a roach problem but not to worry because the kitchen is clean. She just kept talking about the roaches and how big of a problem it is in their restaurant. None of us wanted to eat our food. It we disgusting. I'm very disappointed that the situation wasn't exactly properly handled. Our friend got a free meal and we got dessert but I feel like the manager could have been handled the situation. As for our server, I'm really disappointed she kept going on about the roaches. I promise you, I'll never step foot in that place again. I had a few bad experiences here, but came back recently. This time we had a great experience. Food was excellent. We ordered appetizers, two entrees and a dessert and all of them came out in a timely manner. The gentleman that took care of our table, Angel was the best. Chilis is just an overpriced Hispanic food restaurant. More like an Americanized version of Hispanic food. I ate at this location and I have no complains about their service. They served me in a timely manner and kept my drink filled. I really enjoyed those electronic receipt computers on each table. First of it's kind. read more

I enjoy chillis, I am here just about once a week. I keep coming back for thier fajitas. The fajitas are roughly around $13.00 but I think they are worth it. The automated receipt/video game things are cool too. It keeps the wait time bearable. read more

My husband brought the family here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't busy and when we walked in, no hostess and we stood there for a while before a server saw us and sat us. Our waitress was really nice and helpful, she kept our drinks refilled and when I didn't like the blackberry tea she kindly took it and removed it from the bill. My husband and I had fajitas. I had the chicken and pork and my husband had the steak and shrimp and we both got sides of beans and rice. Mine came out good, maybe just a tad bit more bell pepper and not so much onion. My husband wished his shrimp was cooked a bit more but it was edible and you only get 3 tortillas? For all the food is kinda crazy. Wish they'd add maybe just one more tortilla because I had so much food left I could have made two more fajitas. My daughter liked her Mac and cheese but not her oranges. Where do I even begin. My husband and I came for dinner tonight. He ordered a mango margarita and what came out tasted awful, in the wrong type of glass so it got messy, and seemed to be the wrong type of drink altogether. we ordered fried pickles as an appetizer, the Caribbean salad for myself, and bourbon tacos for my husband. We waited over 30 minutes for our appetizer, our waitress had disappeared for a while and when I saw her finally emerge from the kitchen she peeked at our table and scurried back to the kitchen to get our friend pickles. I must also add that it was not packed or busy whatsoever. It then took over 15 minutes to bring out our food. She brought my husband some sort of burrito which we sent back and she came out immediately with tacos but it looked like they tore the burrito open and threw the inside into tacos. My husband said it felt like he was eating dog food. All in all, we spent almost 2 hours here and our night was ruined. I must say my salad tasted delicious and our waitress was not rude at all. However she did not receive a good tip from my husband because we were not at all happy with how long everything took. read more

Will never go there again..Every time they charge me for playing the games when I don't..most times the waitress will not take it off even after they have heard me say I'm facing this away so it can't be played. Sometimes its true that I'm with my grandson but he is not allowed to play them. After 3 times in a row for being charged I wrote to the company and they just said you have a right to cancel game before it begins..well I never started it. Easy way to make extra 2.00. They should have them off and if you want to use them you could turn them on. I usually go there once a week and now I will go elsewhere. I had not been to a Chili's in a few years and noticed that they have completely revamped their menu and their food presentation. It looks awkwardly fancy but for some reason the taste blew me out of the water. The California Club sandwich I had and the BBQ burger my wife had made Ale house and Longhorn steakhouse look like chumps. And for a fraction of the price. I have been extremely disappointed with the Jacksonville Chili's on several occasions. The wait time for a table, even if not busy, wait for food, small portions, price which makes it not a good value. I have LOVED Chili's and frequented in Metropolitan Chicagoland and San Diego, CA areas. as far back as the 1990's, I ordered lunch, chili and/or soup almost daily. As a business owner working long hours the ease of carry out, fast and friendly and good portions made it enjoyable, satisfying and easy to acquire a "habit". I will try the Wilmington, NC Chili's or visit when out of town. I would still recommend Chili's overall, just not Jacksonville, NC read more
