Wanted to just point out that our waitress was amazing. She heard us before we even sat down. Brought us our food and kept checking on us. The food was good but shrimp was cold my steak was cooked ok my sons was over cooked. The corn don't order it's mainly frozen microwaved corn. Thy cheap with the napkins. And it's very expensive for 2-adults and a teen it came out to $142.75 ridiculous. I went to McAllen to BJ's and it was a party of 8 and had drinks and mixed drinks beer and it was $168.00 so it's ridiculously expensive not worth the little bit of measured mashed potatoes. The food and salsa are very good. I got a huge doble hamburger with fries, no seasoning or flavor at all. Hubby got the ancho salmon for $20 plus, very plain and sad looking. The boneless wings tasted good. This food plus an ice tea= $76. Service was attentive and sassy witch I like a lot. The ambiance is very calm and the temperature was perfect. Let me start off by saying this is my first time at a Chili's. Their Double OldTimer is DELICIOUS!! Super juicy! They didn't have a Shirley Temple on the menu but they were so kind and said that they were able to make one for me!! Litzy was super sweet and was able to communicate well with us!! She's super sweet and very open! I'm from Corpus Christi but would kill to come back to this location at Harlingen!! The overall vibe was super nice and chill!! I went to a cancer benefit for an American legion member. I paid $200 for a basket which included five $5 dollar gift cards for Chili's. I went inside to have lunch and a young female waited on me. 5 minutes after I sat down, she came over. I ordered a water. She gave me a menu and saw her 10 minutes later. There were less than 50 people in the restaurant with at least four employees working. I ordered my food asked for a refill of water and never saw her for 15 minutes. She had a pitcher of water that was five boost over at a station so I had to get up and get my own water. I received my bill and explained to her that I had these coupons and she looked at me like she didn't know what it was. It was Chili's and it had chilies on and any participating Chili's. She came back to 10 minutes later, saying the manager said these aren't good but he'll accept them. I showed her my military ID for a 10% discount. I was owed $3.31 from one of the $5's, so that was her tip plus $3.00 more dollars which I should've never gave her. read more

I had lunch at the spot. I would say the service was just over average since the attended me in a pretty good time. I usually have to wait or even take a seat while the final table for me when I come to restaurant like this (chains). The lady(Monica) that help me was very quick to take my order and was always making sure I wasn't missing anything. I noticed that on most of the reviews said they would take a very long time to take care of them but I personally didn't experience this. I had the spinach cheese chips which were all right but that's what I get for going and eating at a chain restaurant. I give them four stars for the great service that they provided but would say there is quite a few places I would recommend before this spot. read more

no one greeted me today so I walked to the bar. asked for a small bowl of chips and salsa and was given a huge one big enough for 4 people. my quesadilla explosion salad which has been excellent at Brownsville locations had kinda imploded. I had to search around for the usual ingredients I think I found half a dozen black beans total. Hardly any dressing and salad was old and quesadilla was over cooked. The ribs were unflavorable, tiny bit dry, sauce was so so, not at all succulent & tasty like Applesbee's across the street. The fries didn't stay hot, which was kinda expected, so, ok. No matter how busy this Chili's gets, you'll be seated quickly. The drinks are made well - I was halfway drunk after 2 frozen margaritas and they didn't taste like they had any alcohol in them, but they were loaded with it, apparently. The food is delicious, hot and comes out quickly. You won't wait ridiculous amounts of time between placing your order and receiving your food. That said, the staff is great - even during busy, peak hours. And the guys that work here are cute, too. +100 points! read more

I placed a delivery order with Chili's & I had an issue with Door Dash delivering the wrong food/order. I called Chili's (Harlingen, TX) & spoke with a manager & he told me to call Door Dash. I called Door Dash & was put on hold for well over an hour while being transferred four times. I got frustrated & hung up on them, while on hold & called Chili's again. I spoke with a different manager & she not only issued a credit back to my card, but personally brought me my food. She even threw in cheesecake for dessert. She went above & beyond. Awful service!! It took forever for anyone to come and greet us. It took forever for our drinks and chips with salsa to come in. Our food was cold. I went to the restroom and a two employee ladies were just sitting down talking and counting money. We didn't get any napkins or forks at our table. Came to Chili's for a birthday dinner and was very disappointed with the experience. Server was very inpatient even after telling her we were still waiting for guests. Asked her for 5 minutes to look over the menu and she returned a minute later visibly annoyed and rushed us while taking our order. Took the orders and appetizers came out about 5 minutes before the meal did. She brought some of the food out and my steak was over cooked, but I was not about to deal with the rude server again. She forgot two plates and brought out the salad warm and wilted (with brown avocados), and cold chicken tenders almost 20 minutes after the rest of the food initially came. Had to flag her down for refills multiple times. Had to also ask multiple times for the checks and waited even longer for her to come and collect the money. The lack of training and good management is so evident, definitely need to focus on training your servers better in order to even attempt at keeping customers satisfied. Managers should also actually play the role of managing by ensuring the guests are enjoying their visit. Besides all this issues at the restaurant, we also had a guest end up with food poisoning after and was sick for almost 2 days after. The food was the best part of the total experience. Although many may say only chefs can cook, here it is proven that even minimum wage workers can cook too. The servers and hostesses are really the mostest and loved the way they treated my partner and I. The only thing i noticed that wasn't up to everything else's standards was the restrooms. Yikes! the floor was a little slippery and lost my balance a couple times. Will be going to the restrooms next doors, Camperos. Through it all, I am glad i dined here and will come again. My granddaughter ordered fajita plate. What a disappointment. I'm not sure if they use precut meat or theirs but, the fajitas were cut with the grain instead of across the grain. Finally got impatient after seeing several places open, so I asked the hostess when she finally returned and she stared that she was waiting for us to be ready. What an idiot! After ordering salsa, I found 2 shards of glass at the bottom of the dish. I had almost consumed one of them. After notifying the waiter, he didn't even apologize, just replaced it. Last time we ordered at this location in Harlingen Tx...we were extremely disappointed. Ordered 3 entrees for pick up; it was pretty pricy which would have been fine if the food had been what we expected. It turned out to be missing the fries and the bread( which came under the sauce) was very soggy. The whole order was cold. I called the manager and all he did was ask for the server's name?! No apology or offer to remedy the issue. Too bad this town dies not really have many choices for upscale restaurants. In any case, we probably will not eat there too often. The servers and staff are overall nice. Food is average. My two star rating is due to the kids they have here selling food (candy bars, candy, fruit cups) table to table. I've been here on two separate occasions and been approached while eating by young kids trying to sell me food. They've never mentioned any kind of fundraiser while selling the food they just go table​ to table asking for money. I find this a bit intrusive and awkward while I'm trying to eat. I also don't see how this benefits the business seeing as how their customers are now buying their dessert or appetizer from another source. Not a pleasant experience. read more

It is always crowded here. I don't understand why people will wait 45 minutes or longer to eat this oversalted, unimaginative food. Anyway, we hadn't been to Chili's in a long time but we got sucked in by a free kid's meal coupon on Sunday. My daughter is not yet 2 years old, so we know we are on borrowed time anytime we go out to eat. We sat without service for about 10 minutes. When the server arrived, he asked if anyone had helped us yet and explained that they had shifted the map in the middle of their shift. He apologized for the wait. Great, no problem, the slate was wiped clean. We ordered our daughter's meal first and it came out first, and she liked it. When our food came, we still did not get silverware so we had to ask for it. My hubz ordered a beer and I ordered a margarita. They said they were sold out of the beer my hubz requested. He ordered a different beer. It came out eventually, but by that time, we were trying to hurry up and finish our meals because our daughter had become antsy (I don't blame her). I tried to pay our bill early on in the meal with their tabletop Ziosk (which to me is the company's way of admitting their service sucks - you'll never flag down one of our servers so check your own self out) so we could just leave when we were ready. But the Ziosk wouldn't scan my free kid's meal coupon. I asked one of the servers to help, but he couldn't get it to work either. I asked our main server, and he said he would have to get the manager to override it. When I refreshed the screen, we were charged for two beers. I got up to tell the server, and again, he said the manager would have to fix it. I saw the manager walking towards us so I was glad I was going to be able to tell him personally about the poor service. But he never made it to our table. He stopped at the first table in his path and talked with them for about 10 minutes. I refreshed the screen again, and they took off one beer, but they never removed the kid's meal. I placed an online order picked it up and laid it out for the family. First the baked potato soup was orange rather than the normal white and very powdery. Disgusting. And the chicken fried steak was basically rubber glue breads and fried. Boy are their standards slowly falling if I wanted fast good I would have went to Wendy's. It's a 2.5. I rounded this one up. Sat down and the table was dirty. Waitress apologized and cleaned it. Ordered but my drink never showed up. I finally asked and she ran and got it. Food got there, fajitas, and she asked if I wanted to add rice. Food was fine. There was hardly anyone there but as slow as everything was you almost thought "there has to be some more customers hidden somewhere".
