Visited here for lunch with a friend. Don't usually eat at Chili's. This place was quick and the food was really tasty. They have some sort of smoking machine that gives a great flavor to the chicken tacos. Their salsa was unique and worth the indulgence. I think I'll try them again. read more

This was the worst meal we have every had. Steak was touch, potato soup looked and tasted like puck. Salads need to go back to iceberg lettuce. Tea was good. Daughter in law got sick on the pork tacos. read more

Not so great. Did lunch and the waitress was standoffish and seemed to be in a rush. Was there for a biz lunch and needed some time but no doubt I was rushed. Food was average. Will go next door next time. Two stars just for the food. At least it wasn't cold. read more

The building is your standard chilis restaurant. The service when you eat in is pretty good, but to-go service is a completely different story! I've ordered to-go a couple of times and each time was forgotten about. When you walk in the to-go entrance, no one is ever manning the desk and there are employees walking around all over the place ignoring you. You never really know if someone is working on your order or not unless you stop someone to ask. The most recent time I went to pick up my order, someone finally came out and told me it would be 15 more minutes. I waited patiently and an extra 30 minutes had gone by. Employees were clocking out right in front of me and no one asked me if I needed any help. I finally asked the bartender if he would check on my order. He found my order just sitting in the kitchen and it had been forgotten. He apologized, but they really should come up with a better system. read more

The last several times I have been there it has taken forever to get seated. We went today and waited 7 minutes and no one even helped us. Several employees looked our way but did not greet us or anything so we left. We eat here at least once a week and this is ridiculous. read more

Chili's in Gainesville, Tx is the place to be for lunch, dinner, or just having a few drinks with your buds after work. The atmosphere there is awesome. I have never had a bad experience while being a patron there. The staff is friendly, always smiling and cheerful. If there is ever anything my family or I need, it is taken care of ASAP. read more

We went in the middle of the afternoon, in the middle of the week, the restaurant wasn't even half full, and we still received horrendous service. We arrived at 2:30 and after waiting several minutes to be greeted once at our table, were told that we could get happy hour prices on our drinks, but only if we moved to the bar area. We did so, which resulted in waiting even longer due to switching servers, and we could tell from the beginning that we had irritated the bar server. We explained that we were advised to move for happy hour, she acknowledged us and proceeded to order our drinks. Apart from our drink order, everything else went downhill. It took forever for us to be able to order our food, once our order came to the table there were condiments missing which we asked for, and again took absolutely forever to get. While waiting I curiously looked at our bill on the electronic table system, and found that our drinks were not at happy hour prices. When asking the server she told us that we had put our order in at about 2:30 (which wasn't true because we walked in the door at 2:30), and happy hour didn't start until 3:00. We explained that we were told that it had already started, which was the whole reason as to our move to the bar. She told us that "there were signs all over the restaurant" (none of which were visible at all in the bar, the e-system even stated to ask our server for details) and that she "would talk to her manager, but she'll probably just tell us to deal with it." After several more minutes the manager came to our table with a very confrontational attitude, told us that it was misinformation on the previous server's part, that happy hour is at 3:00, and that "comping makes her look bad, but she went ahead and comped our drinks to happy hour prices." She then told us that it was "this time only, not again," and told us to forgive them as she walked off. Afterwards the server refused to check on our table and after waiting 20 minutes we had to go ask her for to go boxes. We had two beers and a margarita, which cost the company $5.00 to discount to happy hour prices. I worked as a server for several years and know how stressful of a job it can be, however there was no reason for the poor service on the server's part, and absolutely no reason at all for the confrontational behavior on the manager's part, especially when it was the company's mistake. We were incredibly surprised at their lack customer service, and will not be returning. read more

All I can say is that the service and food of this particular chili's sucks. My husband and I stopped there on our way to Dallas, after a nice two days of gambling at the Winstar casino and this waitress couldn't be any rudest to us ! Let me just say we were the only Hispanic couple in the whole place, which is totally OK with me and for the other folks there, but this particular waitress seamed to be very anti-other cultures, or something like that I guess, I even saw her rolling her eyes when she saw us sitting at the table, I mean WTF? Is our money not good for her or what?. She came straight to the table and ask for our drinks, no "hi my name is such and such.." later during the course of the meal she asked me if everything was fine with this "don't bother asking for anything else" face, and after she asked me that she didn't even let me answer and tried to just walk off, I was like" my chili soup is cold, can you please heat it up for me?" I order the chili and Caesar salad and it was horrible, BAD BAD choice, my husband had the fajita trio and it had no flavor whatsoever, the chicken was burned and had no seasoning at all, the meat was just three little sad pieces of it, and in top of that, we asked for some chips and salsa, like the complimentary ones that they usually put on the tables and this lady is like " that's 2 bucks more, u want em?" EXTREMELLY RUDE!!!!!!! On top of that we asked for lemons for the fajita meat and we are still waiting for them! My husband asked for no guacamole and no sour cream and he got them anyways, which is OK, no biggie, but then he told another server if he could please exchange it for double pico, which is what he ordered in the first place, and this waiter never came back! We had to wait until our super server decided to show up so we could get the pico he had ordered like 10 minutes before! This place is a total disappointment! I also needed some crackers for my chili and she didn't even bother to bring them to the table herself, she sent some other waitress that passed by and left them on the side of the table, she didn't even say "here are your crackers miss or NOTHING!" She just left them there and kept walking! WTF? I would give it a minus ten thousand stars if I could, avoid this place if you are ever going to the casino and think about stopping here to eat. I had the pleasure of eating at Chili's the other day, i got there @ 4 and there was hardly anyone there and shift change was then. I sat at the bar and had a beer and watched the guy that was leaving and the lady that was coming on clean and restock the bar. It was quite impressive. He took every bottle that was on the shelf and cleaned them and cleaned the shelf, the lady began wiping everything down, the bar, their work stations, the booths. She was scrubbing on those booths like, well like my mom would clean them. I ordered 1/2 rack of Memphis dry ribs and fries, they were great, i added a little salt but they were melt in your mouth good. And the fries were perfectly done, not soggy and the spices on the fries rocked. read more

Really I hate to complain but the meat was undercooked and the nachos were burnt. We talked to the manager and he said they cooked there beef medium rare and the beef was nowhere near medium rare. The manager had an excuse for everything. The chips and salsa were 3 dollars. We waited for 20-25 minutes and the food was terrible. The rice and beans cost extra and they change the recipe.
