This rating is entirely due to the outstanding service that Manager Brendan Rowell provided during our recent visit. The personal attention and actions he made to an inaccurately (it happens) placed order put in by our waiter is exactly the type of customer service that ensures repeat patronage. My friend absolutely demolished his meal after Mr. Rowell put his personal stamp on it and assured him that he would be bringing his entire family back this coming weekend for more. I typically try to avoid this location. Chili's isn't my favorite but the mister likes the mango chicken or the margarita chicken. When I go, I usually order the sirloin with mashed potatoes and upgrade a side for asparagus with cherry potatoes. Tonight, either they were just slammed because partial of the restaurant was under renovations but our order came slower than usual. Our oldest daughter ordered chicken bites but we were told the kitchen staff ended up burning them so they made her chicken tenders and were going to comp the kiddie meal off the ticket. Pretty decent. We didn't say much but were pleased they took considerations. My complaint was the salt level on the food. Both our full menu items (sirloin and the mango chicken) Disappointment occurred with my asparagus. The ONLY reason that this has 2 stars instead of 1 is because of my server, Timothy. When he wasn't babysitting (yes babysitting a child so that a server could tend to her tables) he was very welcoming and attentive. I saw one server carry a child which, as it happens belongs to her, as a restaurant professional this is absolutely a NO GO!! Personally, I have not been to this location before tonight. It took no time to be seated however it took a solid 20-25 minutes to even be addressed by a server. Multiple drink items were unavailable, yet not marked on the menu/wall or by the server. Took an additional 30-35 minutes to receive the drinks and food ordered. When the food did come out, the poor servers were confused as to which table had what and forgot parts of the meals. Had to stop multiple servers to get tortillas for fajitas. This is not the place on a heavy traffic Friday night if what you want is fast/precise service, however if you have some time to burn this location may be worth your time and money. I am not faulting the servers on their ability to keep up, but their management may need to be revamped if they don't want to lose money on football weekends or heavy traffic nights. Dirty floors and food everywhere on the floor. Even the workers were slipping around. It was hard to get someone's attention to take my to-go order even though the employees see you (look right through you). The guy that eventually helped me was nice enough and he did check my order to make sure it was correct before I paid which is why they get the extra star. We have been here a few times. It's usually slow when we are here. The food is ok. It's nothing to brag about. I'm not a fan of eating out but sometimes you just have to. Today was one of those days. The salad was bland. Could have been more fresh. My husband enjoyed his fajitas. Refills took longer than usual to get taken care of. Our pay machine was not working. It took us about 15 extra minutes to pay because our waiter disappeared. On another note, our waiter super friendly and did a fine job. Came in on Cinco de Mayo to get some chain Tex/Mex food. They had an all you can eat fajitas special on a Monday night. Sat at the bar since NO ONE was in it and got great service from bartender. My first draught beer was a little warm, but the second was nice and cold! Kitchen took forever to get my order out with people coming in after me getting their food before. The fajitas where very good indeed after the wait. Since I got all you can eat, they give you progressively less so your stomach can catch up which is good cause the steak was very filling! This is a pretty busy location right off of Independence. Went here on a Friday night and the hostess seemed a little lost and confused, but we managed to get a table right away (for 7pm). I would call that early on a Friday, but still... Our server came by and greeted us and took our orders. Seemed like a lot of people were celebrating birthdays because we kept hearing the Chili's version of Happy Birthday being sung every 5 mins. I guess that is why the food took forever to come out. They still can't get a burger (or anything else for that matter) right. We went there on Friday night mainly for a Margarita, to tell the truth. My wife ordered a chicken dish, I don't trust their cooking but I figured they could at least get the burger right? I ordered the "big, fat, juicy just bacon burger" medium RARE. I told the waiter RARE 3 times! A long long way long time later we get our food and my big fat juicy burger is flat, dry and very well done, I had to chase my waiter to take it back. Honestly, the chicken was like what you'd get on a domestic airline but worse. My wife who's a very slow eater naturally anyway slowed down her meal as much as she could, but she still finished way before I got my burger. The waiter didn't follow through on my order and just let it ride like the previous time. The burger was again flattened like a pancake almost twice the size of the bun (nothing like the picture on the menu) and burned to crisp, I mean burned! This time I was ready and grabbed the waiter before he ran off and told him to get the manager pronto. Several minutes later I get up, walk up to the receptionist and ask again for the manager, she informs me that they know but the manager is busy - the restaurant is at 60% capacity, so busy but not crazy busy. I go back to my table, and a few minutes later remind the waiter, he too tells me the manager is busy. Too busy for clients? I warn the waiter we're walking out. The manager shows up 3 minutes later and apologizes. I show him the flat burned out burger pancake and explain the problem. His excuse is they don't do medium rare they do pink, my wife pointed out you can't do pink when you flatten it out like that, the manager then tried to justify it with some story about mashed burgers. My wife and I are BIG Chili's fans but had the worst dining experience ever at this location. Steak requested Medium Well and was confirmed before the 3 day new waitress placed the order as she forgot. 1st delivery was rare- maybe medium rare. 2nd delivery from maybe a manager was medium rare again after we cut it. I asked what it looked like and was told I am not sure what it was supposed to be. I finished my meal and the #3 steak arrives and is finally Medium Well. NO MANAGER VISIT AT ALL. Finally- check comes and it was wrong. They added an extra steak as that was the way they could get another one done. What happened to expediting for a customer? Nope- added to check like we just sat down. NO MANAGER VISIT TO FIX IT. Poor 3 day new waitress did her best and I was very polite the entire time. It took about 8 minutes to be waited on at the bar that only had another couple. The two stars mostly reflects the cleanliness of the the establishment. It was absolutely filthy for it to be slow on a Tuesday but that shouldnt be an excuse for it not to be clean. While I did enjoy the fried pickles and the mix drink the environment reminded me of eating on a NYC subway...The bar and seats were sticky. The bathroom smelled of musk, on the way to the bathroom the floor was slippery enough for a lawsuit. The whole vibe in there felt tense and crowded. I have traveled the country for work for around 18 years. I have stopped in many Chili's franchises. This one is my hometown one. Right down the road from me and sadly it is one of the words run chili's franchises I have ever been in. I have given them try after try but it's ridiculous: The staff mostly seem miserable to even be there. The food tasty enough for standard chili's but almost always very hastily thrown together with no attention to quality or presentation. I often come alone and sit at the bar. It the only bar I've ever been to that the bartender is only present around 10 percent of the time. I have to beg for service or silverware or anything basic like that most of the time. I mean they actually act like they will lose money if they spend too much time behind the bar. And sadly forget about the little, simple things like oh I don't know tuning the television to local or regional games that people would actually be interested in. No, I have to hunt someone down and get that done as well. I hope the management sees this and makes some simple changes to make this chili's live up to the standards I've come to expect. I have so often enjoyed relaxing in the ones I visit around the country, would be nice to relax and enjoy coming to the one down the street from my house. read more

Over the years I have not been a huge fan of Chili's. However, since recently returning to my meat-eating behaviors, I've been a bit selective about my choices of proteins. Chili's offers a grass-fed burger patty for $1.00 more, which wins my vote over other places. As a food safety educator, I am always picky about the cleanliness of a restaurant. Upon entry, I noticed tables that were not bussed, though they did not seem to be understaffed. Usually a big no-no for me. However, the greeter was sure to place us at a table and thoroughly clean it to our liking. Earned their point back. The food was delivered to the table exactly as ordered. I requested sauces on the side and a slight char to the burger....achieved. Our server was quite hospitable and attentive. In comparison to other locations, it was a positive experience. Beer was nearly flat, fries over seasoned to the point of being inedible (i tried wiping them off, wasn't worth the effort), I paid an extra dollar for the world's saddest three slices of avocado, I'm pretty sure the egg on my burger was microwaved or simply crafted from rubber, and it took right under 40 minutes from when I placed my order to when I received it. The server/bartender, Stan?, was nice, but too busy to be all that attentive. Additionally, the couple at the table beside me both ordered some sort of shrimp and chicken pasta. But worst of all, we were there for Veterans Day. My husband served in Afghanistan for 12 months and is still actively in the military so we were there so he could enjoy a free entree. However, not one member of the staff thanked my husband for his service or wished him a happy Veterans Day.
