I ate here with a couple of friends after a day of shopping. I got the Southwest Eggrolls, and while they weren't bad, they weren't as good as the ones I make at home for family and friends. The price of 14.89 for 4 (small) egg rolls cut in half was a bit expensive if you ask me. The wrapper was a flour shell, and while it was okay, an actual eggroll wrapper would have been better. The menu DID state that it would be a flour shell though, so it didn't come as a surprise. One of my friends got chips and queso. I tried her chips and they were by far the best chips I have had in a restaurant recently. I would go back just for those chips! The service was good. read more

I've been a fan of Chili's for many years, and have eaten at many locations from NY to VA to FL, and the food is usually good, the burgers especially, and the service is consistently on point as well...until today. I live in Palmetto and we have a Chili's not too far away in Ellenton, but it is always packed, so we decided to go to the Bradenton location because every time we drive by, it doesn't seem too crowded, and now we know why. We were greeted and seated promptly, which was a good start. Our server showed up within about 6 minutes and took our drink orders. We also pointed out that we are rewards members and had logged in on the tablet thingy on the table to get our free chips and salsa. So far, so good. The server takes our food orders a minute later, and when I ordered my burger medium, as I always do, she said "We only do them medium well, they're smash burgers" and I told her I'd never heard that, and have been eating them for years. Hmm....this was confusing. I have eaten the "Big Mouth Burgers" for years and never heard anyone say they were smash burgers or that they couldn't be cooked to order. I hate a well done burger, I don't want to taste char, I want to taste the burger, but I let the order go as I was hoping the server just used the wrong words. At least 20 minutes goes by and we have no drinks and no chips and salsa. Finally, our server shows up with drinks, chips and salsa AND our food. She apologized and then goes on to explain to us that she has to give 6% of her tips to the people who were supposed to bring the drinks and chips. First off, I don't want to hear your complaints- YOU are the server, YOU are in charge of our table, and YOU should have been checking on us. The burgers were all burnt and tasted gross, and they instantly fell apart in our hands. They weren't a "smash" burger at all, they were just overcooked Big Mouth burgers. The three of us at the table were all going through a bunch of napkins as our food just fell apart. We are a restaurant family- my father in law, who was with us, owned 22 restaurants and he said "This is the worst server I have ever had, I would fire her immediately". Now we're done with our food and ready to leave and this server has the nerve to tell us to fill out the survey, because "Without the survey, I don't get to work"- well, you might be due for a career change, because there was no way we were giving you positive reviews after the way we were treated. We'll go back to Ellenton and wait in line next time, lesson learned. Avoid this location if you can, there is a reason they are not crowded and they get low ratings. read more

My parents and I went to Chili's to have a nice meal, and the man at the front- who I'm assuming is a host-was very rude. He said that it would be 15 minutes and we said OK, and then I said can we just sit in the bar at one of the tables? And he said "no that's going to be 15 minutes as well", and I said well then we'll just wait for a table. He ignored people coming in. We watched people go into the bar and sit at tables and he did not say anything to them. He did not make eye contact so he was very hard to hear because the place was so loud. Also, there were AT LEAST 10 empty tables, so obviously they did not have enough help. When he called us for a table after waiting more than 15 minutes, he tried to seat us in the bar. I said "we don't want to be in this loud bar. We said we wanted a table", and then he said "well that's going be more time." My parents who are in their eighties and are calm, loving people said "let's just go!" We were so upset having been treated this way. So we went to Longhorn and had a quiet, enjoyable meal. I have never been to a restaurant, including other Chili's locations, who treated people so rudely and . He dismissed others as well. There was a group of four that were standing there for at least 10 minutes waiting this guy who was so flustered for no good reason to add them to the wait list. He finally asked them if they wanted a table. Honestly, why else would they be standing by the host station? I will never return to that Chili's. furthermore, I may never return to another one! We had a very large party and the hostess Bill was beyond kind. He got us set up very swiftly at our table where we met our server Sheena. With being a large party it's was very chaotic yet she was extremely outstanding. She handled all our needs with kindness. Our food was absolutely delicious and came out fresh and fast. We had not a single mishap or complaint. The manager Alex even stopped over to ask how everything was going, he was also very kind and funny. I haven't been to Chilis in a few years. I went with my son and we split the tenders with Mac and cheese and fries. we both wanted salads and she told us about the pick three for $10 and told me we would get more and save money if we did that. so we got the cheeseburger with a salad and fries. We got 3 meals for $30 and we had a cheeseburger and fries for the next day. She could have just let us pay more, but she really hooked us up. We really enjoyed our dinner. She did an amazing job. We visited Bradenton location and it was kind strange. They tried to charge us price of 22 onz beer and we got 16onz. They invited us to join for free chips and salsa, what we did, and they included in the bill. We we claimed all this extra charges, the response of the manager was unbelievable non professional. She was off. Do they trying to charge extra to the people to get more what? It is looks like not very healthy environment there. The food was great. I think they can make the sides a little bit bigger. Mashed potatoes and mushrooms were very small portions. I called and spoke to Tori a female manager, she said she would credit back at least the up upcharged cheese fries and said to wait a few days for the charge to reflect on my card. the only reason they got a one rather than a zero was because the bartender was very nice and the margaritas were good. we ordered nachos which were not edible and looked like they were scraped off a hot road. the bartender said it was because their oven is broke and they are using some other gizmo to cook this crap. also ordered steak and chicken fajitas. i dont know what has happened to chilis but the plate used to come out sizzling, this was cold. the chicken was definetly a frozen by product as it was tasteless and mushy. the steak was edible. they give you four tortillas but condiments for one. a hour later had a terrible stomach ache and nausea. thank god for pepto bismol. perhaps they should give you a bottle to go with each meal. chilis used to be good... wonder what happened? read more

Came in with my girlfriend today to get some food on our day off. Didn't take too long to get seated. When we sat down the waitress took her time getting to us to order drinks. I ordered the sirloin medium and I got it rare-mid rare so I asked for it to be cooked to medium. We got there right at shift change so it took forever to get a table, and then to get the food. We had like 3 or 4 different servers. The quality of their food is going down. The few times I've been here the food wasn't up to par, they either need new chefs or a new manager. For example, one night I ordered the chicken fajitas, my guacamole was dark brown, I got tablespoon of burnt rice and my chicken was white, which should have been grilled. My husband's broccoli was rubbery which was probably microwaved. I also noticed customers around me were complaining and returning their food. So it wasn't just me. At one point I used to like Chilis. I am so disapointed now. The menu has nothing interesting. Sirlion steak is garbage steak. I ordered the steak with Shrim last night and I clearly asked the girl who waited on us if I could substitute the rib eye for the Sirlion and she said yes and I told her that is what I will order then. She comes back with a burnt steak beyond well done and no shrimp. I had not realized that I did not get my shrimp until this morning. They charged me for it though. The girl was such in a rush to go home that she was not focused on taking care of us. On top of all of that, the restaurant was filthy and disgusting. Ecerything was greasy and sticky. Worst service EVER in my life. Randy waited over 20 minutes for his food. Waitress never checked on him even when she dropped off my dressing about 10 minutes after I was served. Other tables so were waiting on their orders. I waited another 8 minutes (40 minutes total) and asked for a manager. I explained and while he apologized he never offered a discount and still charged for Randy's soda. It cost us $20 tonight so my husband could watch me eat. He was so disgusted he left and sat in the car. He was not sure he could hold his temper. I handle these situations better. Manager said he didn't know what happened. I told him. It truly is your average Chili's restaurant. The food is good and they just changed their menu but they are still very average. I will say that in recent months, the managers have had a stronger presence on the floor. I had an unfortunate incident just last week where the pasta I ordered came to the table ice cold. Not wanting to make a fuss, I ignored the problem until the server could tell I wasn't eating all of the food. The manager came by immediately, arranged for me to have one order to go for free and discounted the pasta I already had. I was quite impressed by her professionalism and proactive behavior. Normally, I do not have problems. This was the first time this had happened to me at one of their locations. I will, of course, be back in the future as their patron margaritas hold a special place in my heart. Hopefully next time will be better and I can up them from 3 stars to 4. read more

Do not come to this specific chili's! First off, my experience going there today was horrible they have BAD customer service! Me and my family waited for 3+ hours at chili's just to order the food, wait for the food and to pay for the food! On top of that they sat us in the way back in a corner separated from everyone else which is why we sat there for 3+ hours because no employee seen us. even though the RACIST worker they have told a group of 7 that the corner in the back was closed she chose to place us there... Even people who came after us left earlier, and they brought out our appetizers with our meals. I'm pretty sure the appetizers come first...
