Additionally, the green chili that smothered the burger was abysmal. It was flavorless and the sauce was watery and thin. Cannot recommend this restaurant. As this is the San Luis Valley, which is rich in the Latino culture, there is no excuse to not make a decent green chili!!! The restaurant is a cute place that has great potential. They won't achieve that potential until the owner does a complete revamp of the recipes being used and brings in a Chef who can produce delicious meals worthy of the grossly inflated prices being charged here. My sister had the Patty Melt , $19 and my slop was $18. This was the "cash" price as the charge an up charge to use your credit card. In reviewing the current menu on their website (10/2025) Ruby Slipper has almost doubled their prices. I hope this restaurant reads my review and makes the necessary changes. The people of Alamosa and the surrounding area deserve better!
