This Chilis is one of the GREATEST restaurants I've ever walked into. We always go if no one is cooking Sunday or for birthdays I thought my trip was gonna be normal but man I was wrong. We got it and when we ordered our mozzarella sticks, they came out in under 5 minutes and were Sooo cheesy. They came out with my steak after and that was so juicy and get this. I love myself a chilis... just moved to school up here and I had to come to the chilis, I started with chips and salsa with queso and it's just a good as every location I go! I would definitely recommend getting that for your app. As my entrée, I ordered the juice bacon burger with no mayo unfortunately I forgot to take a photo, but it was a good sized burger with four pieces of bacon, pickles, and red onions. Patty was cooked through good definitely one of my favorite burgers on the menu as far as a chilies inside looks, it's the same as every other one a very warming invitation to the restaurant. The service could be better in my opinion it didn't seem like everyone wanted to be there. Kinda had an attitude could improve on could improve on overall attitude. This Chili's in Alamosa, CO, was not unlike any other Chili's chain. Back on 4/7/2023 I went with my significant other and his family for lunch. We started off with drinks... I ordered a Patron Margarita ($5.39). The other two ladies in our group ordered house margaritas while the guys stuck to non-alcoholic beverages. Ha! Then our waiter came up and told us the bartender mistakenly made an extra margarita & wanted to know if anyone wanted it. And then I noticed how on the tab I picked up on behalf of my new people that he charged us for said extra drink. The food was okay, bit my meal was served lukewarm. The pick two lunch deal more than enough filled me up. I'm passing on their lousy fries next time. Anything but the fries! The parking was plentiful. The women's restroom was mostly clean. We were seated right away. I wish this had been a more memorable experience considering it was the first time I had a meal with this special family... It was affordable, but the highest quality food & they seemed to be a bit stingy with their portions. Not the best service either. The hostess who greeted us wasn't all that friendly or confident. But there was golf & football news on the flatscreens. Lol. TIPS + join their rewards program if you frequent this establishment often... free chips & salsa & one kid's meal is always nice + Chili's has a partnership with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Imagine pulling into a packed parking lot at Chili's on a Friday night at about 6:15p. You go inside to add your party of two on the list for the 20-30 min wait. While you wait, you observe the entire front of house staff working seamlessly together to move parties to there tables. We were 10 positions down the list and by 15 mins in we were up to number 4. At 21 mins wait time, we had our table and our drink orders placed. The host was remarkable at gaging the wait time, the co-host- person seating guests, was always verifying tables available on the floor matched what was on the hosts ipad so the next guests could be paged. There were two table bussers who were on dirty tables as soon as guests left. Food removed, table tops washed, seats wiped down, floors under tables swept in 2 or three mins. Host was made aware table was ready and could page next in line guest, co-host seated them, wait staff at table within a minute or two tops. It was a fine-tuned, well oiled machine. Food was great. Always up to the Chili's standard. We enjoyed the 70s light rock music in the background. Second time to visit while visiting from out of town. The first time, we visited mid day around 2. Crowd was light, food was great. We just didn't get to experience the Friday night experience. It was great to see. Other restaurants could learn from this Friday night team. read more

We stopped in for dinner because I was craving fajitas and we were shopping next door. We got the chips and guac and then split mixed fajitas. Our server great and very attentive. We did order a couple of drinks from the happy hour menu, but they were pretty terrible. Just really too sweet. We kept it to iced tea and diet coke from there in out. The fajitas came out quickly and were seasoned well but the tortillas were stiff. It was as of maybe they'd been reheated or sitting out too long. After spending our time at Great Sand Dunes National Park & Preserve we were looking for a place to have dinner and searched near for a place. The Chili's was near us and open till 10:00. So we decided to have dinner at Chili's. The atmosphere was great and it had a very good vibe. We were seated on the table and greeted by the server with menus and water. After seeing the menu we decided to order black coffee, Spicy Shrimp Tacos, Cajun Shrimp Pasta and Chicken Fajita. The service was quite good and we soon got our food. The black coffee was perfectly brewed and loved my coffee. The chicken fajita was delicious and tasty. The chicken was cooked perfectly for the fajitas. The spicy shrimp tacos and cajun shrimp tacos were delicious too. The shrimp was perfectly cooked for both of them and loved the food. The food was delicious and tasty. Went to the restaurant to buy takeout. A lady at the door told us to go to the bar to order. Nobody at the bar helped us. After several minutes we left and went to WENDY's. Chili's has a lot of people working there, but they were all talking to each other. Will never return. read more

We went into Chillis 4/15 around 1:00 for lunch. We sat in the bar area. The bar tender and two other ppl look at us and just gave us a rude stare. We sat there over 10 minutes and got zero service. This is not the first time this has happened. You think management would see this behavior and correct it. You lost a customer. Plus will recommend to everyone one else to go somewhere else for better service. read more

I feel like for this being a chain, the San Luis Valley Chili's has great food that's usually fresh. It stays open late which mostly places close early in the valley so that's the benefit of having this business in our community. read more

It was relatively clean, in fairness, a table with four small, rowdy children had just left and there was an aftermath to attend too. For a chain restaurant with full bar they don't have sweetened lime juice! There's more employees than customers and yet the service is extremely slow! It's the usual restaurant/bar atmosphere but they do have plenty of HDTV's to watch. I only come here bc it's close to home & if I had to I could walk. Such a bummer! The biggest issue was the pacing. We received our starter salads, then our entrees about 2 minutes later and then our drinks about 10 minutes after that. While we we still eating our sever asked if we needed to go boxes. There wasn't a line. No reason to turn our table that fast. We were in and out in less than 25 minutes. Also, the cucumbers on the side salads had been frozen so they were swollen, mushy and simply disgusting. Server was a nice young man. He just needs some training about how quickly to bring entrees after salads AND don't ask people if they need a box while they are both actively eating. Other than the gross cucumbers, food was fine. I'm not a big fan of Chilis BUT I have to give this place credit. The appetizer was well made and the service was wonderful. The host, servers, bus boy, and manager came to our table to check up on us and everyone was extremely friendly. It was a super busy Saturday night too. We're 4 old farts traveling cross country in a van. Two of us dropped into have an appetizer and a couple of drinks. Since we have gotten older when we go places where there is a young staff, we noticed we are ignored, not mean, but like like you're not noticed until you ask for the bill. Not at this bar. The bar ten der, Amundo, hope I got that right, was very attentive and I noticed the rest of the staff visiting and joking with the other elderly customers. It put a smile on my face. Thank you. Usually this chilies is pretty good but our last dinner experience was horrible. First off one of the employees spilled water all over my mom and did not clean up the water that was all over the ground and on her chair. When we asked for the manager he never showed to talk to us. Anytime we need anything we had to essentially grab a server to get any thing like another set of silverware and drink refills. It also took an excessive amount of time for them to take our order a table that sat down 20 minutes after us got to order and got their food before we did. When we did get our food the forgot a side salad. We saw our server about 3 times that's it. Overall a pretty shitty dining experience and I was greatly disappointed. read more

Experience was not great with this place. The hostess was so slow, did not care to make any sort of welcome when we arrived. Took her 10 minutes to actually seat us--not saying it was full and standing room only, plenty of seating. Finally got seated and took another 10 minutes to acutely see our waiter. While waiting for our waiter, the kitchen could be heard yelling and screaming in the back. Multiple people kept coming from the back of the house (I would assume the kitchen). They all went around the restaurant with no purpose at all. One person was training with another--the trainer was loud and arrogant and only seemed to be trying to score a date with the trainee. Food wasn't terrible, but certainly won't be going back. Also, only saw our waiter one other time--to deliver the food. No manager on site. The two other couples around us also seemed annoyed. My fiance and I went out for a date night and figured Chili's would be a decent place to go. Our server was very kind and attentive, unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The food was truly mediocre. We started with the cheese bites appetizers and they were brought to us still cold in the center. Our waitress was kind and attentive to our complaint and had them cooked longer. When the main courses came, the trend continued. My fiance's steak was under-cooked and nearly raw, so she sent that back to get it cooked more. I got the brisket / chicken combo, but the meats were drenched in sauce and that's all you could taste. The corn that came with my meal was overcooked and mushy. We expected more from such an established, nation wide chain, but we'll save some money and get a better product in the future by eating elsewhere. read more

Okay so we had been on vacation for 7 days and Alamosa was our last stop. We needed good food, food we were used too, food we love. This chili's DID NOT disappoint. Not only that, when my hubby walked in to pick up the order, they knew immediately who we were, what we had ordered, and because we were at a hotel, threw in all the extra essentials like silverware and napkins.
