He took the time to fully understand the situation, reviewed her previous medical history, looked at her very physical lifestyle, and talked to her about her interests and activities. His thorough and very professional review and report was critical in her being accepted to enter the United States Coast Guard Academy. The staff was friendly and professional at all times and made it a pleasant visit. I initially tried Walgreens, but they couldn't administer the vaccine after an injury had already occurred as it's their protocol and advised me to go to a clinic or hospital. I looked up local options and saw that Black Hills Urgent Care had fantastic ratings compared to others in town, so I gave it a try. he exterior looks great, and it wasn't busy at all. I was checked in immediately by the receptionist upon walking in. The interior is so pristine and serene that I almost thought I'd walked into a spa! A huge plus: they informed me that if I only needed the shot, I could opt out of a full doctor's exam, which saved a lot of money tho idk how much it would cost me since I was paying out of pocket.. After a very short wait in the lobby, a nurse brought me back to the exam room and administered the shot, after asking if I have any history of allergies she put a bandage on my arm . The whole process was fast and seamless. If you're traveling or passing through and need quick medical attention, I highly recommend this place! I'm also feeling safer since I found this place!

I also received my results swiftly, and the doctor who called me was informative. This staff deserves five stars. However, given what a nightmare it was to get an appointment, I'm dropping my review to four stars in hopes that this issue will be investigated by the powers that be. It's clear from reading other reviews that this facility has problems with the scheduling staff behaving unprofessionally. ORIGINAL REVIEW: In all my life, I have never encountered such incompetence at a medical facility as I have at Dakota Radiology. I cannot speak to their actual physician practices because I'm still waiting for a mammogram appointment that they seem incapable of making come to fruition. I have a lump in my breast, and I received a referral from my GP to have a specific type of breast imaging done at Dakota Radiology. All I needed was for Dakota Radiology to book me an appointment. Seems simple, right, and like a basic task anyone with a modicum of professionalism might be able to perform? One would think so, yet they keep losing my records and giving me the runaround. It's been weeks since I received the referral from my GP, yet I still have no appointment with Dakota Radiology. On the multiple times I called to follow up with them, their blanket answer to everything was, "We're waiting on a message from . . . (insert random department or doctor that has no relevance to my case)." That's Dakota Radiology code for "We have no idea how to handle your atypical medical situation so we're just going to keep giving you the runaround in hopes that you go somewhere else." The icing on the cake was when the seemingly capable scheduler I'd finally gotten through to WENT ON MATERNITY LEAVE AND DIDN'T FORWARD MY INFORMATION TO ANYONE ELSE. She, in fact, didn't even tell me she was planning on leaving so that I could coordinate my treatment with another scheduler. Instead, she had me go through the rigmarole of forwarding her all my paperwork and then left me waiting for a callback that has yet to happen. You have to ask yourself: If this is how horribly they screw things up on a very basic records and scheduling level, how might they handle your medical care?

A mammogram should have some discomfort. If it doesn't, the technician isn't getting a clear picture. Also, you can't be asked to hold your breath and in that spit second (possibly on an exhale) you're told to hold your breath. Due to the amount of breast cancer I have in my family I would normally be afraid of getting called back in for a retake; yet, I wasn't surprised after knowing what should occur during a mammogram. Sadly, weeks later, I get a $500+ bill for the retake. The insurance company says it's the way Dakota Radiology coded the bill. This is a retake for preventative care. Is this what's wrong with healthcare in this country? Or is Dakota Radiology in the business of scaring woman to get another image "just Incase!" Unethical slime looking to cash in! Beware!!!!!

My provider then found it appropriate to suggest that "maybe I need more vitamin D because it can effect women's moods", which insinuated to me that they thought I was "just in a mood" for advocating for my healthcare. Which is too bad, BUT- If that's as bad as it gets it's still excellent healthcare in this town. I would highly suggest this clinic to anyone.
