This office is sensational. My daughter has gone here for 9 years. She was blessed with perfect dental health. Her little brother, however had had a tough time. They have always been so gentle with him, so kind and supportive with me. They ended up doing oral surgery on him at 20 months old. We were so nervous but they did an absolutely terrific job. We are new to Spokane and today was our first visit to Children's Choice. This was a wonderful experience for my 2 children ages 1 and 2 1/2. From the moment we walked through the door we were welcomed with a friendly smile and quickly checked in. The waiting area has many options to keep kids of all ages entertained while they wait to be called back. The wait time was very minimal. The facility is very clean throughout. The hygienist was very friendly and made my kids feel comfortable and cooperative. The Dentist was great too. He seems very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. We have very high standards when it comes to our kids and this is definitely a place we will continue to go. read more

I had to switch from my 2 year old's first dentist because they changed their hours. I called this place and they normally don't see new patients at the time they did for me. They accommodated that and I truly appreciate it! Due to covid, they had all of the fun parts of the waiting room taped off. But they didn't have the lower part taped off, so my toddler was able to walk right in. That would be my only suggestion, tape off the lower part so parents don't have to drag their toddlers away.lol. Anyway, my child threw one of his biggest tantrums he's ever had in his short life in the waiting room because he couldn't play in the waiting room. I asked the front desk if they were ready to call him back or else I was probably going to have to leave. They called him back right away and let him walk around to redirect and calm himself. And they did his check up in a private room which was for the best this visit. I'd call the appointment a win! read more

Drs. Toillion, Garabedian, & Herzog are all very personable yet professional, their staff are all really great with kids, and the northside office is a lot of fun. The giant fish tank & video games make any waiting easy, although I find that they generally run on time. Our 7 year old son is autistic, so it's important for us to find professionals who understand his needs and can accommodate his peculiarities. The private rooms have been really helpful, everyone very understanding, and his two hospitalizations for dental work have gone smoothly. They've been great about doing as much as he'll let them at each visit, but not pushing him over the edge. I would recommend this dental practice to anyone with children, from toddlers to teens. read more

Check off another baby milestone - first dental visit! I know that my baby is perfect and healthy in every way possible but it's nice for a person who went to school for that to confirm my thoughts. Now I know why my kid is mouthing everything with some extra fussiness - his first year molars came in! For the first-timers, they have little rooms that place the patient, parent(s), dentist, and dentist assistant. If all else fails, put your kid in the swinging chair and kill some time (calm those nerves) before Dr. comes in. All they do is have the young child lay on both Mama's and doctor's lap so he can't escape, er, move too much. They said the real-deal dentist chairs are for the bigger kids (usually ages 3+), who can handle the dentist invading their mouth. My child screamed bloody murder, what do you expect? Once all was said and done, he came back to his senses when he spotted a shiny new bag of things just for him to chew on or use, which is its real purpose. I did refuse fluoride treatment as noted to the assistant but they placed this goop during this crying-bloody-murder scene and I didn't have time to question it. I wish they could have told me this before so I can ask more questions. Their waiting room is huge and very fun for kids of all ages. The staff is friendly and are a joy for both kids and even parents. read more

Seriously this is the absolute best place to go in general, but for kids with severe anxiety about the dentist, especially those with past trauma at the dentist...this is the best place to take your kids. They have these skill building appointments early in the morning for kids to help ease their anxiety. My daughter used to have to be put under for literally any kind of dental work. She has been going there since 2021 and can now do procedures, numbing, everything completely awake. I never thought I would see the day this would happen. They try and keep you with the same person so they can build a relationship with the kiddo. I have never had a single bad interaction. Everyone from the front desk to the check out gal had smiles (behind the masks of course) and such positive attitudes. I work in healthcare so it's so nice to see every aspect of a clinic being positive and cheery. Amazing customer service. read more

We LOVE Children's Choice and wouldn't consider going anywhere else! We were new to the area and asked for a recommendation on a children's dentist and 4 out of the 5 people I asked recommended them and I can certainly see why. The office is conveniently located, always clean, the video (and other) games they provide for the kids certainly keep my two entertained and the fish tank is great! From the receptionists who greet you to the dental assistants to the dentists, they are all amazing. I love how they really provide care today with an eye to the future and keep a close watch on things that might become problems later and try to implement things now to avoid issues. My kids had never had a cavity before they came to Children's Choice and they are 9 and 11 and still don't! My kids ALWAYS look forward to going to the dentist, which in and of itself is amazing! Best dentist in Spokane! They are super nice and the kids love all the toys in the waiting room.

The place will entice the children and if you are paying cash you're probably pretty safe. But if you have DSHS or private insurance be prepared to have all sorts of procedures recommended to your small child. Root canal on my 3 year old? Really! Actually whole lists of recommended procedures and the dental assistant actually told me if I was worried about cost not to be because the insurance would cover it. I was more worried about my poor child! read more

We started going to Children's Choice after moving here in 2003 because our pediatric dentist from Arizona knew Dr. Charlie. What a great reference! We have been going ever since. The office is kid friendly, especially important for the younger patients. There's lots for them to see and do, before and during their appointment. We have received excellent recommendations for our kid's teeth, helping their teeth to grow in correctly and begin the preliminary work for needed orthodontia. I'm not looking forward to when our kids outgrow the Children's Choice and have to move on. If only I could go there! read more

Recently missed an appointment because of a death in the family. The staff rescheduled but threatened one more time they would have to drop my son. They showed no concern at our loss and gave no allowances because of it. This is harsh and inexcusable as when someone dies it is not a good time for threats. They do have good dentists but they need more caring receptionists. read more

We have been going to Children's Choice for over 15 years. I love everything about them and more importantly, our kids do. They have provided the best dental care for our kids from infants through their teen years. The doctors and staff make the visits really enjoyable which I know is rarely said about visits to the dentist but they really do get to know each child and parent and their needs and concerns so that it can be a good experience. Over the years, they have also done a great job on educating me and our kids on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. Our kids still have never had a cavity. Their facility is clean and comfortable. We love the huge fish tank and they have all kinds of games for the kids to enjoy. Throughout the years they have given us great advice as our kids are in sports and in some cases needed special mouthguards, etc. They also gave us really good advice on orthodontic treatment that was needed for one of our kids. read more

I'm so glad that I chose this dentist office for my son. They are so nice and understanding. They do everything at the child's pace. He will go in the big dentist chair when he is ready. They will not restrain or tie down kids to do the work. If the child is not comfortable, they will stop. They also have a 24/7 phone line so if anything happens you can call and they will meet you at the dentist office if needed. I would highly recommend this dentist to anyone with children! read more
