This whole facility cares about each person and family that walk through their doors! My son had Sarah as his therapist and She was so great!!! My son is the type of child where you have to be firm or he will ignore you, Sarah worked extremely well with getting him interested in things. When we,first came here, our son didn't understand how to immatate people, he was only interested in lining toys up ect. I swear Sarah and tarsah opened up his mind to new capabilities!!! They used to do a Saturday group session, not sure if they still do, but it was great as well. It was a good chance for the kids to interersct while being monitored by people who really understood them! My son didn't work with andrew, but he had a natural good give about him as well. My son being non verbal I don't trust people leaving him in their care, but hands down there therapist here are so caring and you can tell it's not just their job!!!! Highly recccomend this place!!!

Calls and emails are always returned the same day, which is so nice when we need to cancel, get a copy of a statement or forgot to get a school note. August 13, 2026 My…read morehusband had a severe stroke in December of 2025 and during the last 7 months we have been in and out of the hospital and several facilities. There are many things wrong with the facilities as a whole but, there are definitely some good ones and good people if you can find them. Rather than talk about the bad ones, I'd rather focus on a good one. We were fortunate to come to Cedar Pointe Health and Wellness at a time when we were frustrated with the system and with some of the staff working in them. Beth Carmean is the Admissions Director at Cedar Pointe Health & Wellness Center and she was our first point of contact. She was a breath of fresh air after what we had been experiencing. She has gone above and beyond to help my husband and to make him settle into his new realty. Josh Lewis, the Administrator in Training, was the second one to go above and beyond for my husband. He is always supportive and listens with a sympathetic ear. He too, has made my husband feel heard and supported. The physical, occupational and speech therapists have been pretty amazing, no matter the facility. They are for the most part, the one constant, no matter where you go. That being said, the nurses, aides and sometimes management, should find a different profession. They seem to lack the caring and compassion for the patients and/or residents that should be a requirement. Cedar Pointe for the most part, have a better group than we have encountered. When issues arise, they try and address them and correct the problem. Of course, there will always be some that should move on but, I would like to call out a few that on a daily basis, go above and beyond. One of my husband's aide or CNA, Claudia is one of those that on a daily basis goes above and beyond. Steve in physical therapy and Jonathan in occupational therapy should also be mentioned. When your life takes a big hit and your realty is turned upside down, not just for you but, your family - support, compassion and understanding is so welcomed and appreciated. My husband and I fully recommend Cedar Pointe Health & Wellness should you or your loved one need it. We will forever be grateful for them. Thank you, The Becker's

2025 update: I am still not over our bad experience with Susan and would like to provide more…read moredetails. In 2020 we were navigating Covid, 2 kids under 2, and an intense medical journey with our disabled son to find out his exact diagnosis. Our marriage struggled through the typical SAHP vs working parent dynamic. My husband was overworked and stressed from being the sole provider for our family during this difficult time. I was complete overwhelmed by day-to-day life with 2 very young kids plus the added stress of navigating (mostly virtual) specialist Dr appts, therapy (physical, speech, and occupational), and learning everything I could about child development to help my son at home since our access to professionals was limited. Susan sided with my husband. I specifically remember her suggesting I allow him 20 minutes to "decompress from his work day" when he comes home. The final straw was when she suggested once a week or so I tidy the house before he gets home and greet him at the door with a fresh cocktail. This is after the fact that we had told her multiple times we are not big drinkers (which kept coming up since oddly many of her suggestions for spending quality time together included drinking). Gag. My husband was equally mortified by these suggestions (even though they benefit him) and we made the mutual decision to discontinue therapy.

He continued to see them for approximately a year and even though we had to switch therapists due to scheduling a couple of times, they were amazing with him. *Sometimes the scheduling issue was theirs, not ours. They are very strict about their schedule though and you can't call in sick more than a couple of times, so if your child has issues like mine did with constant ear infections due to a malformation of his head (severe plagiocephely caused in utero), it could present a disruption to a childs therapy which could be unfortunate. Thankfully, we were able to maintain a consistent enough attendance not to warrant ejection from the program. But, it is something to be aware of.

Five Stars is not enough. My son, now 6, had been attending a different speech & occupational…read moretherapy center in Pflugerville for about a year when he was 2. The therapists were nice & made some progress, but they couldn't even remember my son's name half the time. There were a multitude of problems, but the nail in the coffin was when we showed up for a therapy session, after a year of therapy, twice a week & were told we owed close to $1000 because of their billing error. If we did not pay right then, we would no longer be able to come for therapy. My son was, at that time, non-verbal, and had other issues related to autism, which he had just been diagnosed with. He desperately needed therapy, and we felt like we weren't at all valued, and that he was just another patient, just another check. I found RRCTC kind of by accident, and it is one of the best "accidents" to ever happen to us. My son has seen every therapist there at one time or another & he loves them all. They are some of the most caring, wonderful people we've ever met. The owner, Melissa, is...beyond amazing. Not only does she work with my son (and he ADORES her), but she takes the time to listen if you need it. I've never felt like my son was "just a patient" or that we were a paycheck, like the other place made me feel. The therapists have made such a huge difference in my son's life, and we feel loved and cared for...not many places do that these days. While I hope that at some point, my son will no longer require therapy, for as long as he does, we will stay with Melissa & RRCTC.

I unfortunately did not get the opportunity to experience the staff's services because the…read morereception office staff experience was completely unprofessional. I called to inquire about an evaluation for my child. The lady with what sounded like an English accent asks if my insurance was with an employer. It was not. Then she asks "is it Marketplace"? Not knowing what marketplace was, I said yes. Then she curtly said that this insurance was not accepted. After the call, I logged into my insurance (which was purchased directly from UnitedHealthcare) and, sure enough, they WERE in network, as I had UHC Choice, and not Marketplace, I call back telling her this information and was referred to the manager, and he was repeating the same information. I told him I misspoke and clarified that I did not have Marketplace insurance and that I purchased the insurance directly from the UHC website, which he claimed this wasn't a thing (YES, this is a thing, because I did it. ). They didn't bother to fully check to see if the office was in network (didn't actually ask for my Member ID information or other details) which is what dozens of offices have done as standard protocol. Eventually the man did say that we can take my insurance, but wouldn't be able to accept my husband's Aetna insurance in 2026 - but that I could still schedule something under my current insurance. ABSOLUTELY NOT! The conversation with reception left a bad taste in my mouth and I have scheduled evaluation services elsewhere. I would recommend in-house office training on how not to escalate insurance issues and on common customer service skills. And if insurance companies are listing your office as in-network when it's not, you need to figure out how to fix that on your end.

I was only on 200 Lamictal and 50 seroquel before attempting to change to the 21 mg Caplyta suggested by the dr. It was too strong and I should have been started on the 10mg. I stopped it and called the office and asked for the 10mg. I wasn't going to be able to make it to the office for samples so they said they would put it in the mail if they could and would let me know but no one called me to let me know and I don't check the mail regularly and because I wasn't contacted with an update the meds sat in 100 degree weather for a few days. Then I had a waste of an appointment and was told to stay on my regular meds since I'm doing ok on them and I'm like why did we bother doing the other med? could it possibly be for money?
