    Samantha did such a good job with giving me the exact color I wanted. I wanted to dye my hair a very subtle red that you can mostly see in the light and she did exactly that. I've been coming to this salon and getting my hair done with Samantha for two years now and she always leaves my hair feeling extremely soft no matter what service. I love my new hair!

    Alicia, the owner, was recommended to me (based on salon location) by a very reputable stylist for color. Sadly, her conduct is a disgrace to the industry. At the end of the day, Alicia's arrogance was the only thing that impressed me. I was specifically seeking out a well seasoned colorist due to scalp sensitivity and very resistant whites. Alicia declined to color my hair though her staff indicated she takes new color clients. This was the first red flag. I gave Alicia's salon a shot for color even after she deferred to a kind but still budding junior stylist (ie needed guidance from Alicia and another senior stylist). Alicia did not disclose that I was seeing a junior member of her team. Second red flag. It turned out the line she recommended (Davines) isn't great at covering whites if you look at stylist forum reviews. And it did burn the nape of my neck when applied. The color itself was nice. Too bad it didn't last beyond two color safe shampoos. Third red flag. Alicia claimed she'd be there on the day of coloring (evidently to guide the stylist) but had a last minute event to attend. Basically showing she didn't give a damn from the start. Although she was willing to "guarantee" the work (ie correction after the stubborn whites I'd told her about before color clearly didn't take)...She was still resistant to coloring my hair herself and was ultimately incredibly rude, unprofessional, and unappreciative of my new patronage when the correction underperformed. I'd reached out to her for ideas (believing she is a master colorist) assuming another session with them in the more distant future. See her text reply below...Perhaps the early career Alicia was more humble and compassionate? When a salon owner responds like Alicia did, it's a reflection of insecurity about the outcome. Glad I paid $100 x 2 for a babysitter plus garage parking. Alicia showed her true self behind the facade of "guaranteed work." If you look at older Yelp reviews, other patrons have described her (verbatim) as unprofessional and unpleasant (history repeating itself). See Stephen M's observations from years past. If the color had lasted more than 2 color safe shampoos, her clients wouldn't have to be inconvenienced to return in the first place. She frames this as though doing you a "favor." As someone who is well versed in high end salons across coasts, I have more respect for myself than to return to Chignon. Maybe Alicia tells herself she is setting boundaries with patrons. The fact is, Alicia falls far short of industry service standards and rests on her semi-retired laurels. Meanwhile, she keeps telling herself she's gone "above and beyond."

    It was my first time at this salon and i had the best experience. I highly recommend the salon & Ashley , her Customer service was the best ive had ! I finally found my hairdresser. I explained to her what i wanted and she heard me because i left the salon feeling like a queen! Its also in a great area , as soon as i got there i got offered something to drink i thought that was a nice gesture from the salon. I also got hungry in the process, i ordered some food and one of the staff offered to pick it up. Overall i loved the service. My hair feels so silky. Ashley did an amazing job 10/10

    Yesssss!! This is my first time getting my hair done at a professional salon& I was not disappointed. I had an awesome experience here at Chignon! Yvette was so personable and easy to work with! She made it so fun & easy to pick out hairstyles&hair color too! I showed her a couple of photos and styles and she was able to help me finalize which style and color fit my facial frame. If you are thinking about getting your hair done, this is the place to go try out!! You won't regret it! I asked for a red balayage style & aline bob haircut ! I love it!!!! Well if you are wondering, the salon is really clean & sanitized !! Which is awesome!!

    I cannot stop running my fingers through my healthy hair! Thank you so much Ashley! I previously got my hair done by Ashley at a different salon and I really fell in love with the way she works, she's gentle, soft spoken, genuine, and sooo sweet! I love that she's not against any crazy hair idea I have but she will advice me when she knows I'm gonna destroy my hair... also I really enjoy the ambiance of this salon, the wine, the music, and everyone is so nice.     Love my new haircut! Nicole did an amazing cut & blowout style after :) I really appreciated my experience here, from start to finish. The shampoo/conditioning part was so relaxing, then I asked for a long layers styled cut and it came out beautiful! Total was $75 (not including tip)

    Been coming here for a while now, probably a few years and haven't had any problem with any staff…read moreuntil this time this last service really disappointed me and made me feel very uncomfortable. The girl who was supposed to do my waxing was already in a rush, rushing me when I got in there and was presenting with attitude. She had a bracelet on that kept rubbing my eyelid when she was working on my eyebrows, and I had verbalized to her in a nice manner originally, but she was having attitude already at me and basically being pretty rough when it comes to removing the wax. And then she missed a few spot and when I pointed out that she missed a spot, she was giving me attitude while telling me to lie down and then when I got back up after she was done and told me that she was done, she looked at me and was like what are you doing? I still need to put cream on you. And suddenly I feel gaslit because she was the one who told me to get up and then she followed that by asking if we have any problems because I am making her feel very uncomfortable here while giving me attitude. When really I haven't really verbalized anything and I have barely verbalized my concern about the eyelid and that's basically because her bracelet keeps touching my eyelid because it dingles down. The front desk lady have said that she tends to have attitude for whoever is last on her list and I find a very unfair that they book her as my cosmetologist if they know that that's the issue. If they're going to hire employees are representing their company I sure hope that they evaluate their personality and their customer service aspect because that is the most important when it comes to these kind of role and if they're not happy and don't wanna work here, they really shouldn't take additional clients or they shouldn't have the job here. As someone who works in a place of customer service, I always make sure that I don't bring my personal opinions or emotions in. This whole experience made me feel kind of uncomfortable and also feeling like I don't really want to come back and make an appointment with that person ever again. By the end of the session after she gave me the mirror I told her she had missed a few spot. I mean, there were clearly hair in those area, and she clearly was very upset by me pointing at things that I'm just merely pointing out at as anyone would and she is just showing her bad mood and the environment that didn't need that. And after this time, she was done, she not only did not let me check in the mirror. She also told me that I am good to go. I am very uncomfortable I am very disappointed with my experience and I don't wish that on anyone. When I finally got to my car, I noticed not only a few spots but many spot that she missed and I can't really even walk in because I'm kind of scared and worried to really deal with her and I honestly don't want her to ever service me ever again . And I hope that nobody becomes her victim because that is just some rough waxing services watching someone having a resting bitch face and attitude the whole time when really I just want to come here to be vulnerable and did nothing wrong.

The vibe was a little awkward though, since my servicer didn't really talk to me, but that could also be personal preference. I like when conversation happens because it makes me less nervous and has me feel less awkward. I also didn't like how to only way to really book another session for "cheap" was by buying a package and the packages were pretty pricey. You also had to pay almost in full if not half the package price when checking out if you opted for it. I also felt a little pressured into buying stuff from their little shop since my waxer was watching me and explaining everything to me and I felt awkward saying no. Again, just a personal thing, I'm a little awkward when it comes to that lol. I'm not going back, but just because I found a different place that had cheaper prices and a different vibe that fit what I was looking for.
