On a very cold day in January of 2026, i managed to get a completely flat tire. I called Chief's Towing, which was recommended by the Walser Toyota Dealership that I was using for getting a new tire. The Chief's dispatch answered immediately. A very cordial and helpful young man named Jack came over promptly. Jack took care of everything from there! He loaded up my car on his truck bed. He delivered my vehicle to the dealership. He even handed the keys to the service desk, so that they could start the ticket to get my tire taken care. All of this while I stayed nice and warm in my house. I didn't have to do anything further! Chief's Towing, and Jack truly made my day, and saved me frostbite!!! I could not have had a better experience with Chief's Towing and how they took care of me. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who asks! read more

Was leaving my shop in savage I got behind the Chiefs flatbed tow truck that was hauling for liberty tire he came to the stop sign and then just slammed the vehicle in reverse and tried running over a Chevy equinox that I was delivering that was sold to a customer do not do business with these people. They put loose nuts behind the wheel of their trucks and then they try to use them as a 40,000 pound weapon.!!!! Once I took a right and got to the next stop sign. He hung his hand out the window and flipped me off. I don't know the guy. I've never seen him before. I've never met him. Seems mentally unstable to me probably shouldn't be driving such a heavy vehicle.!!!! read more

I was having a bad day at work. On my hour and half drive home, of course my car dies during rush hour. Being I was in an unfamiliar area due to having to travel far that day, I didn't know who to call. I called Chiefs as they were the first to pop up on google and they were SO incredibly kind. I have had a week from pure hell and not sure where I would be without the help of Chiefs Towing? They came out, saw how I was stuck and every time(4 total) , a different guy came with a smile on his face and got me unstuck. never made the comments I would have. They came so fast and we're so efficient!! such a great group of people and the cost was soooooo reasonable!! I hope I end my new relationship with Jim. They will try to rip off the consumer any chance they get. Its the management not the drivers. My car was unfortunately impounded and they tried to lie on the date they picked it up like i wouldn't notice, cmon guys. The driver said he could have put the wrong date on the slip, are you kindng they don't know what day it is. I was discussing this with the front end receptionist and i hear a yell out of the office "its right". He was unaware that his driver was talking to us and said he could have put the wrong date on the slip. After 30 minutres of debating they finally went with their bosses decision and i left with no closure. I was out in the car calling my attorney and filing a complaint with the bbb out comes the driver saying he did put the wrong date on the form and he was going to get my money owed. I appreciate the drivers honesty and i am still going to file complaint with the city and state because the management and their business practices are unethical. They take advantage of people already in a tight spot financially and its not right. The only reason they gave me my part of my money back is because he knows i got them. The only way i am going away is if i get a full refund of all money paid to them . I have nothing but time and a law degree. They tried to tell me that if they picked my car up at 11:55 it would be considered a full day so when midnight comes around they have already billed you for 2 full days. Is that right? They need to have their books audited. I would be very nervous if i were them right now. read more

My starter died. Battery fine. Called GEICO roadside who gave Chief's Towing the wrong phone number and incorrect vehicle information -- i.e. my vehicle is full time all wheel drive, not front wheel drive. Nonetheless, Chief's Towing rectified the situation promptly and professionally and dispatched a flatbed truck quickly. After towing the vehicle to the nearest dealership, Bob from Chief's left the spare key at the dealership and then called me to report a successful delivery. This saved me from having to drive our other vehicle to the dealership and then back home. I am a delighted customer of Chief's Towing service. read more

I had a very good experience with Chief's Towing. I called on a Saturday and they showed up quickly, were friendly, competent, and knowledgeable, and had no trouble getting our Chevy Suburban out of the 7' 2" section of Best Buy Corporate's employee parking ramp. They towed it to J & J Repair. And the price was *very* reasonable for the trouble!!! read more

My working truck and trailer was towed by Chiefs towing located in bloomington mn. Due to a snow ban in richfield mn. long story short. My transmission ended up losing its reverse and also started hard shifting and overdrive was gone after getting it back from chiefs Towing. I was unable to retreive my trailer due to the transmission no longer having reverse gear. the manager had me bring it in to have a look at it. i did. He told me whatever happened to my transmission he was not going to replace it. Chiefs Towing is not BBB member yet the city of richfield mn have them as their contracted towing company. go figure that one out. read more

I agree. Scumbags. They overcharge and nickel & dime you to death! Charge storage fees by calendar days. That means if your car goes in at 11:59pm and out at 12:01 am they will charge for two days at $30/day. Takes advantage of people who need help. Disgraceful. read more

My car got towed from a friends apartment due to snow. I called them when we returned at 830 pm on a Saturday. They said they are open at noon on Sunday. We went there at 1030 am,,,due to the fact that my husbands dad passed away and we needed to get home asap....3 hour drive....They were there but would go inside and lock the door behind them. At noon they opened the door and told me i needed my id, proof of insurance and registration...which of course, are in the car. So we paid the $423.00 bill plus he slapped a piece of paper on the counter and said you have a ticket to pay too. My car was not even there...they took it to another location, so we paid, had to follow a guy to another lot to get my car,,,,apparently the proof of insurance and registration was no longer important. Anyway.....VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS!!!!!!!!! Not friendly or helpful. The money didn't even make any of them smile. read more

We called them on a Saturday afternoon. We were stranded in Columbus MN and needed a tow to the cities. The only company willing to help out. The dispatcher was the best and the Driver was even better. The price was very reasonable and everyone I dealt with was outstanding. If you are ever in need of tow these are the folks for you.
