Campus Walk

It looks like this place has had some rough times per the posts I have read. I can only speak from…read moremy recent experience with the team at Campus Walk. My son had to find a place to live since he is no longer a Freshman and I wasn't to thrilled about University Village. I am sure he would have been fine, but I wanted something closer to the university for him. When I came across Campus Walk I read what the property offered and began calling to have a few questions answered that I had. From the time I began reviewing Campus Walk up until I signed on the dotted line for the lease, I must have called Campus Walk a minimum of 6 times. I was very concerned and critical about this new place for my son so I wanted to get an early feel. I have to say that the various individuals I spoke with could not have been nicer and very professional each time I called. There were a few times where a second party would answer on behalf of Campus Walk because the main office were helping on other calls, but each and every time my name and number was taken down, I promptly received a call back. Always with a cheerful and helpful attitude. Very happy with their customer service so far. Moving forward to the move in.... It was a bit hectic during the move in, which was expected. Checking in was a breeze because of 'Fast Pass'. Very nice. There was one issue that I did come across and it was the cleanliness of the common spaces. Since this was a 4 - bedroom apartment, the apartment is quite spacious. With that said, there is more to clean. I understand it's up to the previous tenants to make sure once they move out, they clean the apartment; if not, they will get billed. Well, after driving 4+ hours that morning to 104 heat, my patience was a bit thin. I went back to the from office and explained what I had saw. I will admit I was a bit, stern, with my tone. The young lady who helped me, very calm and professional, apologized and said that there is a team on site for these types of issues and she will have them come over to clean the common spaces. I thanked her and went back to moving in boxes with my son. In less than 10 mins, if not sooner, there were two very nice and eager employees at my sons door. They had a full arsenal of cleaning supplies to tackle the apartment. They both greeted me and my son with a very warm welcome to the place and apologized for having to deal with the mess left behind by the previous tenants. They then got immediately to cleaning. Since everything was already unloaded and put in my sons room (the room itself had ZERO issues. Very clean and presentable) we headed over to Target and Safeway. By the time we got back, which was quite a while, the two employees were still cleaning the apartment. They were pretty much close to finishing up. I was shocked to see they were still in the apartment, but the young man whom I spoke with noted it really needed a good cleaning and that's what they are hired to do. That young man and woman did not simply do a half-ass job, they 'full on' cleaned that apartment like it was new. Once they were done, still with bright smiles, they apologized for the inconvenience and said goodbye. Extremely pleased and thankful to those two. Circling around.... Once the cleaning was done, I told my son to hang tight and that I would be right back. I immediately went back the front office to, first, to apologize for my earlier attitude towards the young lady who helped me. I know my tone was initially rough and I for one am the first to admit when I was wrong. Honestly, just because I was tired and hot, that is NO excuse to take it out on anyone because of an issue with the apartment. After that, I thanked them profusely. Not only were they helpful and professional, but with everything happening at once with everyone else moving in, they made sure to fix the issue and not let it linger or even ignore it. They showed, to me, they are 100% about customer service. In the end... The reason I am writing this 'wall of text' review is to show that there are those of us whom have had a good experience, even with a hiccup or two. I feel they are really trying to mend their reputation and so far from what I have seen, they are on the right track. I understand it won't happen overnight, but if they stay the course, they will be fine. It also looks like Campus Walk has learned from their previous management team that if they do not turn around how this business is being ran, it will get to a point where they won't get enough quality tenants along with a high/positive rating. Thank you, again, for all your patience and help Team Campus Walk. /cheers! Here is to hoping for a positive year.

I can definitely say that these apartments are better and safer than the surrounding area. If you can secure a private room with just one roommate, that would be even better. The apartments are closer to campus and include your own washer and dryer, which is definitely a plus.

Where should I start? Excellent Customer Service…read more Attentive to Parents and Students Security, friendly staff, room was spacious Flexible lease options My daughter stayed here for the first year in a single renovated suite. She has enjoyed it and has no complaints. When we were not originally given a space in the dorms, I was deeply concerned at the idea of her living in an apartment. I met Nicole on campus (CSU Chico) and adored her. She was easy going yet professional. She was personable and answered my many questions and concerns based on reviews I had read online. She encouraged me to come visit. We finished orientation late and got there after hours. We met Emily, who was off work already. Emily called and got approval to still give us the tour so that I did not have to miss it considering we drove from Southern California. Craig has many laundry facilities, cafeteria, and Starbucks near pool. In the past year, no complaints from my daughter. In fact, she renewed her lease from dorm to apartments. Craig had an RA per floor also which allowed for the dorm room experience, without being stacked in rooms like sardines! Staff Ariel is the person who normally answers the phone when I call. Her voice is always pleasant with excellent customer service. She does great and is always willing to assist however possible. I missed my daughter and would call to ask different questions about activities and other mom things. I can call to speak with Lucy for billing concerns. She responds quickly and is always ready to offer solutions to any concerns. Justine is the manager and is eager to assist and provide feedback. She is focused on making sure all details are addressed and willing to work on behalf of her residents. She treats each person and issue like they are the only concern until everything is corrected. Liberty is the newest to the group of dynamic ladies. She knows the rules as if reading a textbook so feel free to ask her anything! My favorite person is still Nicole because of the impression she gave on initial contact! I have trusted my daughter with them and feel comfortable knowing she is in their hands complete with rules and regulations. They even have a period of time around finals where they require no guest and quiet hours! I loved this place! My daughter also just got her first job working there which shows she loves it too when she could have applied anywhere. Hope this helps you! They have made a difference for us. Knowing my daughter is safe, great place to live, responsible staff and affordable rent, has helped a great deal. Thank you Craig Student Living!

The food schedule was so bad my daughter missed meals most days. The shuttle was down constantly. Inside the rooms was even worse, mold, ants and more mold. Repairs that were asked for were sloppily done, just slapping paint on issues that needed serios work. When my daughter moved out (early because it was so bad) they kept asking for the keys even though I still had to pay rent on her room. Then I got the move out statement, and they took pictures of the room next to hers and tried to bill me for damages, still fighting that even though it's not much which is what I suspect was their thought that I wouldn't fight it. I'd give it zero stars if I could.

I currently live at Pomona West Apartments. The idea of this complex is great. Large rooms,…read moreroommate matching, closed gates at night, washer/dryer in every apartment. Also, leases are separate which is a huge bonus. These are all things that I was looking for in an apartment. When looking for an apartment, it was an easy choice to pick Pomona. However, after living there for 5 months now, my feeling have changed. Like I said, the idea of this apartment complex is great. Currently, they are not meeting everything they claim to offer, as well as simply lagging in certain areas. This is the review I wish I could have read before moving in here. When I first received my apartment, it was a mess. Was not cleaned whatsoever before it was given to us. Washer broke within the first two weeks of moving in. Took almost a whole month for them to replace it. This was not without them blaming us for breaking it. Another problem here is the responsiveness of the employees. If there is an issue or something broken, don't plan on being in a hurry to get the issue resolved. Also, there is technically nothing is the lease about no smoking in the apartment. So, if you get placed with a person who does smoke, even though you put on your roommate matching form that you are a non-smoker, then too bad for you. I really want to like this place. It has the potential to be a great apartment complex. Very nice landscaping and grounds. Pool is small but a nice feature. Basketball half court is also cool to have. I especially like the washer and dryer in every apartment. It is all college students, and they try their best to be college friendly. It is an easy bike ride or drive to campus. I would say that it is very close. They are currently under new management, so maybe things will change. So far, things have no changed at all. If things begin to change I will update this review. If they don't, I will also update this review.
