I've never had it, so wanted to give it a try as the old Chinese dramas really made it seem delicious. With our language barrier, the only two things I understood was stinky tofu and $10 portion. He took the black tofu out and fried it first. After frying, he poured over some broth, pickled veggies, cilantro and something spicy; it's pretty spicy. Overall, it was an experience, I thought it tasted good but was it worth $10? Not really. The fried tofu was crispy and held up too the broth for a 7 min walk, it was spicy, the broth kind of tasted like ramen broth (which isn't bad to me). Word of advice: Don't be afraid of the smell!!!

But no more pineapple soda, a drink they were known for. (That was my thing.) So .... four hotdogs (two for me, two for T), shared fries, shared soda. $38!!! Kind of expensive. Curious about price before we arrived, I used A.I. since the menu wasn't posted on Nathan's site. Information was inaccurate, citing a discount if you buy two franks and an incremental amount more to tack on fries and a soft drink. Wrong! No meal-deals in Coney Island. Oh well.
