Very friendly service, excellent food! Our friends and family have been going there for years!!

Chicken Shack has become a staple in the metro Detroit area. The one thing that you can always count on is consistency. Service is always quick and efficient and the dining room is always neat and clean. What I love also since I don't eat pork on a regular basis, my wife and I can go in and order a combo of ribs and chicken and share for under $20 read more

Tenders come with sauce correct? That's why you ask what kind, yet it's too much effort to do your JOB and put in bag... nobody wants dry tenders.... read more

Undercooked chicken made me sick the manager was an unhappy girl who was rude and not pleasant to deal with try the Lincoln park location maybe you'll have better luck read more

was missing food in our large catering order. nothing was labeled, food was split up randomly. had to drive back and argue for the rest of our order and open up each package and go through the food. everything was cold by the time we brought it back to our event. extremely rude staff, literally heard them giggling in the back instead of apologizing for their mistake and for causing a delay. If we ordered $130 worth of food I expect all my food to be there and to be hot. overall ghetto environment. never ever ordering here again. read more

Of course Yelp deleted my review so nothing has changed from reviews around the web from 4 years ago. The reviews are so bad they eliminated the Yelp page. This review from 4 years ago still the same, just shut the place down. Nickle n Dime first no Free sauce now no Free water H2o WHAT Who does this Been to this location and was always dismayed you have to pay for any sauce or hot sauce,,,now the final straw going in with the family to eat inside order the meals and a pan of slaw 2 drinks and a water cup since they don't have brewed ice tea this time of year. Say what you no give me water cup,,,, refuse to make excuse WHO DOES THIS STAY FAR AWAY,,,, I cancelled that 40 buck order and walked out. Owner Manager is this what you really want over a cup of Water please never had this done anywhere in this country or others. I'm telling hundreds and a dozen reviews sites,,,,Just don't spend your money here and now will Boycott all the other locations. Just don't understand,,,well maybe so do read more

Had a chicken shack combo after months of not eating there (Brownstown location was terrible) and it was AMAZING! Riverview is farther from home but worth the drive! Chicken, shack potatoes & ribs were cooked perfect. I used the tracker and it was ready for me when I got there and the 3 ladies working were super friendly! You have a forever customer at this location! read more

I ordered from Door Dash. I ordered plenty of times before and was happy with the food and delivery. On 12/17 I ordered my usual order, chicken bites dinner. Usually it's delicious, sadly not tonight or any night going forward. The bites used to be hand breaded and tasty. Now, while they're still charging 14.49 for the dinner, it's prepackaged, small dry bites. GROSS FOOD. I would avoid this restaurant like the plague. The prepubescent "manager" hung up On me, when I called back she called me darling (I'm 64 and not darling at all!). So all in all I wonder how long they'll be in business ‍ read more

Did a DoorDash order of chicken bites dinner with shack potatoes; food was hot and tasty beyond expectation

Order a cod dinner with onion rings which is supposed to be 5 peices only got 3 and a side of potatoes lmfao how do you mess up the whole meal??? The only thing I got that was correct was the side of ranch. So thank you? read more

I ordered 4 white meat (2 breast 2 wings) 4 dark meat & 2 french fries. Cost $28. All meat was very little piece. Was not all that tasty. Could have gone to a restaurant, gotten 4 nice size pieces, soup, salad, potato and roll for about $10. Either eat in or carry out. Will never go to chicken shack again. I'm not that hungry. read more

Highway Robbery!!! Chicken has to have the biggest markup of any food. That last time I ordered from here the legs looked like wing dings the breast were dry I ordered 8 piece that came with 2 sides it was 27 dollars I can just say not again outrages and the food was mediocre at best. read more

Ordered 2 combo dinners. Chicken tenders and chicken bites, other was chicken bites and cod. Food was all hot, perfectly cooked and was given large portions, would definitely recommend. read more

Ordered chicken strips and fish. OMG! Smelled of used dirty frying oil, tasted of used dirty frying oil. Chicken was dry, tough, inedible. Threw out the majority of the dinner. Both my wife and I were disgusted. It is by far the worst food I think I've ever received... and we're in our 60's! read more

For $10.99 You receive 4 pieces of chicken, a copious amount of broasted potatoes and a roll. Chicken Shack dubs this the "Chicken Dinner". Go to any other fast food restaurant and any "dinner" will cost you $5 less and you'll get a drink with the meal. Not at the shack though. Don't be surprised when your order takes 15 minutes to cook, because it will and you won't have anything to drink because drinks aren't included with the meal. I have been to this location several times and in my honest and most humble opinion, the food is nothing that special. It's good, but it's nothing to get excited over and it's not worth the price. You do get a lot of potatoes with the order but they are so bland and not that good. The restaurant itself is not very friendly, the service is awful and the workers at the register seemed just miserable. No one smiled, and the inside is a ghost town. Being a Michigan business as much as I want to support and keep on the map, Chicken Shack is simply mediocre. read more

The workers weren't wearing masks while preparing food and I was the only person in the store and I waited for over 20 minutes despite them telling me it only takes 5 minutes to make an order of chicken bites. read more

Ordered a 24 piece chicken for Xmas dinner. They put tiny wings with barely any meat on them and count that as a piece. The chicken is incredibly dry too! Walmart and Kroger have better chicken for much cheaper. read more

Stopped in for something different. Got the rib dinner w fries, nephew got the cod and onion rings. Took about ten minutes to come out. Ribs were good, fries were ok, had been sitting a while waiting for the cod to cook. Nephew liked his cod and he got onion rings with it, got a mound of them, more than the two of us would eat. The condiments were sub par, place was clean. Most people were getting take out. All in all not a bad meal but Not a date place though! read more

Tasty, but overpriced for dinners, the tender bites snack is about the best deal and lunch comes with drinks. My biggest problem is it's always FREEZING in the dining area. I see heat vents everywhere and no thermostat, the heat is never on. It's 20 degrees outside today and it must be 45 in the building. I have to eat with a winter coat and gloves on. Staff replies with , we have no control over the temp the owner keeps it locked. If that's how you operate fine, but go to carry out only. read more

Chicken Shack - a plate of fried chicken, fries, and ketchup - Barbeque Near Me - Riverview, Michigan

I love their broasted chicken and potatoes. So good. A little overpriced and the staff seems unenthusiastic but its tasty. Occasionally they send out some incredible coupons like the chicken snack, 2 pieces of chicken, potatoes and a roll for a buck. Unfortunately they skimp on quality when you use one. They once gave me the smallest chicken leg I ever saw on this deal. read more

I'm sorry but this is chicken we're talking about not pheasant. Overpriced dinner of $10.99 that only includes 1 side dish. So if I want the shack potatoes I can't get a veg like coleslaw or vice versa. Its tasty but way overpriced for chain restaurant food. read more

Just tried this restaurant the chicken was great and the ribs were superb had a dinner for 4 people ribs chicken potatoes and coleslaw we all were more than happy and stuffed. The staff was friendly we definitely will be going back read more

Typical chicken shack. Prices a bit high for what it is but i happen to enjoy it. Tenders are my favorite. The shack potatoes are incredibly greasy but are awesome. Ribs very tender and tasty. The restaurant itself is all freshly remodeled. I have always seen it very clean. Staff seems to do a good job. I will continue to enjoy. read more

This place is WAY Over-Priced!!!!! It cost me $14.08 for a four piece chicken dinner (including a small side of coleslaw I had to order because coleslaw does not even come with it). The breast piece was tiny and dried out. The chicken is good but What a rip-off! read more

The chicken was over cooked and had a very poor variety in the box. The overall look of the chicken was very unappetizing. This was our first visit to Chicken Shack and most likely our last. read more

Horrible experience. Went to Chicken Shack accompanied by a few close friends. Upon our arrival, we waited for 10 minutes before an employee took our order and we were the only customers present at the time. We order 3 dinners for each of us and it costs 40 dollars! Extremely overpriced. After waiting 15 minutes for our food, we open it to notice how terriblely done the chicken was. Way too overcooked and the potatoes were drenched in potato sauce. Not to mention the dinner rolls are just bought from a brand name rather than made by themselves. Goes to show how overpriced and awful their food is, would definitely not recommend. read more

Can we give negative stars? Went to drive thru waited 5 minutes finally went inside placed order 22 minutes later got soggy onion rings over done chicken! I will NEVER go there AGAIN! read more
