Me and my family literally eat here at least 4 days out of the week! The food is soooooo good and Larissa is an excellent manager along with the staff. If you're in Lubbock you def have to give this place a try. read more

In town for work and this little find for a quick breakfast was great. Jessena greeted me at the door and was my server. She never stopped smiling and was incredibly polite. Simple yogurt and fruit meal but service was better than anywhere I've been in a long while. read more

Very busy but service remains excellent throughout end of day. Food is deliciously charming and the menu has something for everyone.

Wanted to leave a 5 star review, but I got a dish that was really good, till I found a long hair in the middle of it. I'm not one to complain or tell the waiter, because hair gets everywhere. I just couldn't finish the rest of my breakfast. One last thing we noticed was it didn't seem like they filter their water. It smelled like lake water and tasted funny. The atmosphere was nice and the place was busy. Our waitress was super friendly as well. read more

The servers here are always wonderful. I've come here with large parties, just two, and by myself. Ever since changing their name to chicken run, I feel like the quality has slowly declined. Today I ordered the avocado toast with egg whites. There was no seasoning at all. The avocado was brown. The menu says "fresh avocado" seasoned with "olive oil, lemon, salt, and herbs".It was definitely just avocado on toast. The eggs weren't scrambled- they looked like they were thrown in the pan from the carton and scraped out. I feel sick after the eggs. The other person I ate with ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage. The sausage patty was good. Eggs made them feel sick- again no seasoning. The pancake is whole wheat... but so sweet. They feel sick as well. Neither of us wanted to pay the full amount for the bill. However, the quality of the food isn't the fault of the servers. I don't usually leave reviews unless I have a wonderful or terrible experience. I'm just sad that my favorite place isn't one I'd like to return to any time soon. Maybe the cook was just off or different the last few times I've gone. Either way, the food just doesn't look great, and from someone who has worked in food- you don't send that out of the kitchen. read more

food is amazing! the wait is a little long but definitely worth it. the service was alright with a very homey ambiance!

Ordered Breakfast Catering for very important Clients ~ Chicken Run did a fantastic job. Food arrived on time and everyone enjoyed it... actually RAVED about how delicious it was. Thank you for a job well done. read more

Love the oatmeal pancakes!!! Melt in your mouth! Eggs Benedict was also soooo good!! Love this place!

Excellent service. Food was yummy. Enjoyed their fresh juice options. Clean and energetic atmosphere.

Pictures on Yelp are a bit deceiving. The atmosphere is not very "code". Inside is thrown together no real theme. The back room where my husband and I sat, was cold and the ceiling was stained. The radio speakers were busted so there was a very annoying static noise in the background AND they were playing Christmas music in February.. the hot coffee was gross. Our waitress was nice and attentive. The food overall was good, just not worth the overall experience. read more

always great food and great service ! specifically love the seasonal menu options the most

I got the egg-ceptional omelette. Very impressed with my result. Great amount of food, enough to fill you up but not too much to make you feel over fed. The restaurant is very laidback and informal but a great place to grab breakfast/brunch with the fam. read more

Delicious breakfast with a large menu selection. Friendly service. We called ahead, which was good as they were very busy on the weekend.

Yummy. The Banana and strawberry waffle is the bomb. Great service but tends to get busy. Most good places do!

Area is super nice and subtle, mellow music in the back round service was very friendly and professional food was pretty good our server jessena was super nice my potato's came out under cooked she took them back and brought me better ones out (I wouldn't suggest the potatoes they weren't really good at all) French toast and eggs where great hot and came out fast nice place to eat read more

We came in with a family of 5 today,4/3/2022. They put us in the back corner where the handicap exit was located. We arrived at 0837. At 0850 we still did not see any server. There were 5 servers at the front, I couple more taking to patrons. I am very unhappy. They were pointing at each other on to who was serving us. I approached the busboy and asked who will serve us and that's when they were still discussing who serves us. Will it go back with service this poor. Issues? Reach out to me. read more

Always delightful. The waffles are my favorite be there early might be a wait on weekends

Stopped in for breakfast while in town for Tech game. I had waffle combo and they cooked my eggs perfectly which always seems to be an issue with over medium. The coffee was good. Orange juice was incredibly good and fresh! My waffle could've cooked a little longer as there was no crispness to it. My husband got eggs/ham and fried potatoes and said it was all very good! read more

Fantastic group of people and amazing food. Come see us! Seasonal specials are always a hit!

Not sure why this place serves warm water to drink. The waitress Jen was unwilling to bring ice water but did finally brought one glass of ice and said the 4 of us could share it. I asked if the ice machine was broken. She said no. She said she just didn't want to take time to bring it. So.....she just called herself lazy? Three stars for the food which was good but not great. read more

Specifically ordered the Tuscan scramble because of the yummy basil pesto sauce. Drove across town to get it. Wasn't smart enough to open it all up there. No sauce. Called and spoke to manager. "Sorry, we forgot it". Not the best customer service or execution of their menu items. read more

Ordered the omelette with bacon, spinach, mushrooms, and Swiss. It came topped with hollandaise sauce, a side of greens, and an English muffin. Perfection. If I am picky, this could only have been made better with fresh or locally sourced jam selections. However, the smucker's jam was tasty. The staff was friendly and the service was excellent. read more

Terrible service, always always always forget part of my order when I get it to go. Tried to call to settle the issue more than once, and No One answered their phone after many, many attempts. If y'all care that little about your business, quit and stop charging people good money. Seriously, one of the Worst services I've seen. read more

Formerly part of "The Egg and I" franchise, recently de-franchised. I never went to it under that name. Walked in today with my teenage son as part of our mostly weekly quest to try out all the breakfast places in Lubbock. This was far and away the best breakfast place we've been to yet. Despite it being very popular and full, we didn't have to wait for a table, nor long for the food once ordered. The atmosphere was excellent, and the service spot on. Drink refills were on the table before the first glass was empty. The coffee order came with a carafe. The food order was tasty and just right without being too large or too small (I walked out satisfied and my son with a small box). Did I say how much I liked the atmosphere? My son and I sat across from each other and didn't feel like we needed to shout to be heard. Good food, good price, good service. In a town full of restaurants this one has found a spot on my "favorites" list. read more
