On the sidelines, everyone was friendly and there was ample space for my baby and I to spread out, play with toys, keep our stroller undisturbed, and walk around if she was fussy. Bathrooms were spacious enough to bring the stroller in one stall with me and there was a changing table. Loved how family friendly it was! My only qualms are 1) the website is not very clear on directions to participate in any competition format. I got the scoop when I called so it was fine, but wording could be better and 2) I'm not sure "food" should be in the name here as I don't think any was for sale besides chips. Totally fine to be a pickleball joint with a bar, just felt a little misleading with the name. All's to say, we will absolutely be back!

A warning to men who are thinking about joining the Epic HR location. Their advertising says "we…read morehave leagues for everyone". Actually, no they do not! Most of the league times are taken up for women's leagues. Nothing wrong with that IF they had the same for men. But the only men's leagues they have are 4.0 and 4.5 DUPR leagues. I joined specifically to be in a men's league at a reasonably close location. When there weren't any and I called about it they suggested I try the Littleton location because they didn't get enough participants for 3.0- 3.5 leagues. Well, I joined HR because it's convenient and I'm not interested in taking more time to drive a lot farther. Oh BTW, when I visited HR, they advertised a great special for a reduced rate. But went I tried to sign up, they said the rate was only good at the Littleton location. So let's review: they charged me more to join the HR location - but don't have leagues for me; then they told me to go to Littleton, but they wouldn't give me that price to join at HR. See anything wrong with this picture?? BUYER BEWARE!

The facility staff are friendly and are always working to bring fresh towels and keep the place clean. LifeTime's billing policies, on the other hand, are a different story. They are a lot like those of an economy airline - petty and arbitrary. For example, if you discontinue anything, whether it's a class, spa appointment, family memberships, or personal training, you will likely be billed for extras months/sessions you did not want or use, along with change fees and other random nickel-and-dime items. They already command premium membership dues for their top-notch facility, so I just don't understand why they think this is necessary. But, as long as you avoid all the extras, it's a fine place to work out.

While they opened late last year, they've recently added a beer and wine pour station--a nice bonus for the adults! The entire facility is spotless and well-maintained, making it a pleasure to visit. We've gone several times with rambunctious groups of varying sizes, and they've always managed to accommodate us. Whether you're a seasoned player or just looking for some casual fun, this place is a real smash.

Regarding the complaint that there is not enough open play for founding members - this is not really accurate. The club was not intended to be 100% open play. There are a lot of open play opportunities. The prices for court reserve for founding members is 24.00 a court (divide by number of players). The things that are bothersome to us are the ceilings are a bit low - they are still usable for lobs more or less but it would have been nice if the structures above were at least 20 feet. Also, you have to be VERY careful signing up - the initiation fee information is hidden - you need to click through 3 or 4 pages to find this. The annual memberships don't seem to have it but the monthly memberships do - this even applies to adding family to existing memberships, oddly enough. Also, cancellation for anything - courts, lessons or clinics is 48 hours. You have to scroll down the entire page to see this information at the bottom. (This information is accurate as of the time of this writing. It may change.) Hopefully the website will be updated to be a bit clearer about terms and conditions for new members. Overall it is a nice facility and it is a great addition for the pickleball community. Since the management is responsive to inquiries and issues it is still a good option for people wanting to join a nice club in Reno.

They offer lessons, leagues (top dog tennis is awesome) and have items for rent/purchase. I tried pickleball for the first time my last time there. It is addicting and I can see why it has become such a popular sport. Similar to tennis but very different it is accessible to people of all ages. Just be careful. They give you quiet paddles to keep the noise down for surrounding businesses and residents. They renovated the space a while back and it is clean and well laid out. Since they are in Cherry Creek the parking can be challenging even with a private lot.
