If I could give this place 0 stars I would. As soon as you walk in you notice how rundown and dirty it is. At the counter there was only one person and she was having a conversation over the phone the entire time I was there and the worst part is the conversation was on loud speaker. The food wasn't that better. I hadn't been to chicken kitchen in 2-3 years and never to this location in Pembroke Pines. I remember how flavorful it tasted, but this time there was 0 flavor. Would not be returning to this location again. read more

Not sure if I'll return here just had a kids meal for my son and the portion was so small. They charge for everything added only thing for a chicken chop was chicken and rice. the service was ok not friendly and not welcoming. The place was empty. read more

Hard pass. Exceptionally rude woman who didn't even give me what came with my bowl. Didn't ask me the type of rice I wanted just shoved something I don't even eat. Next, she was rude when I (who already told her I was a first time customer) LAUGHED out loud when I asked if the guac was extra. She's like everything's extra (even though it CAME WITH MY BOWL I LATER SAW). If that's how you feel and you're not clear to begin with, then why work there? As I stood there, she gave me dirty looks and treated me like a second class citizen. I had only been respectful with her and she even tried to argue with me. Almost reeked of prejudice and like she's looking to take her pent up aggression out on someone. Like good lord, she should not work in this industry. She didn't give me the things that came with my bowl, had to ask, got an attitude (like OMG she's not even kind after you've paid the bill) and made me feel throughout like I was burden. If you're reading this and want to save your business (because clearly any business charging extra for wilted lettuce and a dash of cut tomatoes is), then she needs to stop working there. She's actually NOT helping at all. read more

Chicken Kitchen - Extremely rude server treats people like they shouldn't have entered the store because god forbid they inconvenience her--eye rolls and all. - Chicken Shop Near Me - Pembroke Pines, Florida

I had to add the tomato because they are so stingy. They didn't have any pita bread. They claim they ran out. They've said that before. I asked for a credit on my bill and they said PITA is free so, NO CREDIT. what? It's only 2pm on Sunday. Really? I've never felt welcome in this CK. The attitude of the staff IS NOT welcoming. What a shame. No smiles. read more

This location has been around for as long as I can remember & I personally have a good experience any time I stop by. My most recent time visiting was good & the woman working was very pleasant. There weren't many people inside at the time but the dining area was absolutely spotless. Not a single table was dirty, the floors were free of trash & the soda area was tidy. Prices have gone up pretty much everywhere but I think you get your monies worth here. Their bowls are some of my favorite around. The chicken is always juicy, fresh & I love how it has a citrus-y aftertaste. There's always chicken on the grill so you know it's coming out hot. The yellow rice they use as the base is delicious & they have plenty of options to choose from whether it's a bowl, wrap or salad. There's a lot of toppings to add on also if you'd like. The salsas are fresh & they have a good range from mild to very spicy. I love how the mustard curry is always consistent. Although I usually don't like the taste of curry, this sauce is amazing. If you're into heat the spicy verde salsa is a must have. It has a refreshing taste upfront with a great kick of heat that creeps up afterwards. I really like how quick you can get a quality meal from here. While it's definitely not your standard "fast food" it's a great place to get some good food fast. read more

So the food was decent but not great, service was ok but only because the place was empty. The restaurant area while there was no trash, everything was dirty, dusty or caked with food. The floor looked like they've never been mopped or professionally cleaned. read more

I just now ordered and picked up chicken kitchen at this location... I rather not be eating and chew on something sharp and hard. Thinking it's maybe a bone and come to find out it's a piece of plastic. I have a whole different bowl I ordered too and now I'm irritated thinking about the fact I might find another piece of plastic in that one... I lost my appetite because I had to bite down on something non edible in my food. Guess I won't be coming here anymore.. read more

Time for an update since I last reviewed this place about 5 years ago! To begin with, the place was absolutely spotless, no trash on the ground or dirty tables anywhere in sight. I've always liked the chicken here, and I love all the different ways you can get your chicken. They have chop chop bowls, wraps, salads, and even quesadillas. Today I had the Bazooka chop chop which is chopped chicken breast, black beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and guacamole on top of a bed of yellow rice. You are also served a half of pita bread with it and you could pick up to two sauces of your choice. For me that's always the hardest part, because I absolutely love all of their sauces. I'd have to say though that my favorites are the mustard curry and cilantro garlic. chicken. They no longer have a self serve sauce area which isn't necessarily a bad thing since it was always a mess there. They now keep the sauces in individual containers behind the counter and you just let the person preparing your food know which ones you want. The food was absolutely delicious and I had enough for two meals. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it's a bit on the pricey side. The staff there was very nice and I'll definitely go back soon. read more

It would be nice to enter a business to buy food and feel welcomed. Instead I felt like I was a bother . They are now charging 99 cents for the skin that comes off the chicken !!?? Why? I'm already paying extra for a few pieces of tomato and extra chicken because the amount they serve now is pathetic . No more chicken kitchen for me at any location ! read more

These people are ridiculous and now charge you if you want to keep the skin on your chicken!!!! Are they serious?? LMAO Bad enough that they butterfly the chicken breast and sell as if that's a "breast". Guess we will be going Nextdoor for chicken from now on. read more

Delicious and easy to get to. Service was great. It's like a fast food with tables , easy in and out

They charge you separately for skin that comes with your paid chicken only this location probably franchised. Greed they don't offer comp sauces 1-2 because they'll charge you for that. You're looking to spend an extra 2-3 dollars from this location on comp items such as paid skin from your breast and watered down sauces from 1-2 cups. Crazy the bread is comp though. lol read more

Chicken Kitchen - GREED I get it but why don't you say skin from your paid breast sold separately. - Chicken Shop Near Me - Pembroke Pines, Florida

In all honesty, I think one star is being very generous. My nephew was competing in a tournament nearby and I had seen this place when we were here last time. The website looked good, the food looked good, so why not? To start with, we ordered and paid online. The order never came through. I checked to make sure it was the correct location, and it was. The payment went through, the order did not. The woman behind the counter recreated the order from the receipt, but that didn't show any of the modifications we had made. For this review, that would actually go in their favor. If we didn't like the food it could be because we changed it. Instead, this review is on the food just as they make it. I ordered the teriyaki chop-chop. It was the only item that I saw that had chicken thighs rather than breasts. (I prefer dark meat.) The chicken part was fine but the bowl was mostly rice. I couldn't possibly eat that much rice. And I ordered the small bowl. The Bazooka Chop-Chop and the Mexican Chop-Chop were mediocre. Nothing about either was all that great, but my sister did like the chipotle-lime sauce. The cole-slaw was the worst I have ever tasted. I'm not sure what they did to it, but it was not good. All-in-all, it was a very bad experience. We won't be going back. read more

I can't speak much for the service or the ambiance because I got this on UberEats but it's delicious! Highly recommend checking it out. The yellow rice is great and so are the sauces! read more

I always thought that you could never go wrong with Chicken Kitchen until today. I ordered a wrap and added additional toppings with no sauce. I like my sauces on the side. I'm confused . I ordered a Chicken Mexican chop, and now they want to charge a $1.00 for a small cup and $2 for the larger cup for the chicken skin. This is absolutely ridiculous. The skin is on the chicken and is part of the chicken...why are they charging for skin? It should be free as it used to be. I will never go to any Chicken Kitchen restaurant ever. They should be ashamed of themselves. That is like ordering a bake potato and rhey want to charge you for the skin. Disgusting restaurant policy. read more

Food was great, staff was good and it was quite a comfy place to be. Will be ordering more often

Fast food at its finest. Basicly grilled chicken served with rice and other toppings. I had the deluxe, it's grilled chicken served on yellow rice, topped with lettuce and tomatoes, and half a pita bread. I added some of the salsa which gave a nice kick. It tasted real good. I also had a small cucumber, tomato and onion salad. It was fresh and had good flavor. For my daughter I got her a small original. It's just chicken, yellow and a half a pita bread. I added some cheese for her. All in all it was a pretty good lunch, fast easy and very filling read more

I've been going to this restaurant for the last 4 1/2 years. Now they we are working from home, if I end up in Pembroke Pines for whatever reason, I always have to make a stop. Sauce is too sweet, rice is very greasy, miserable employees, etc. It's no shock this establishment had two stars on Yelp. I was studying at Starbucks and got a little hungry so decided to give Chicken Kitchen a try with my friend. We figured it was healthy, fast, and not terribly priced! What could go wrong? Everything. I walked in and there was no line or customers inside. There was a couple flies flying around me which was a little unsanitary. I walked up to the gentleman and informed him it was my first time. I expected he'd ask if I had any questions on the menu but he did not. He spoke so low I could not make out what he was saying and he just seemed miserable. No sense of good customer service. I ordered my bowl and then went to order my friends wrap. He wanted a teriyaki wrap. The gentleman informed me you get a much bigger portion size with the bowl since there's no wrap so I opted out for the bowl. Expecting it would come with ALL the toppings the wrap did. I was mistaken. All that came in the bowl was rice and chicken! No scallions or any other toppings the wrap came with! Major disappointment! I would've rather paid the exact same price for the wrap and gotten more toppings out of it. I went to pay and the woman didn't even talk. She just stared at me blankly. I asked about the sauces and she said they were by the drinks. I walked over and there were no lids. Apparently they offer to-go food but no to-go sauces. Again, major disappointment. read more

I come here quite frequently, since my son loves the Mexican chop. Today the lady popped a piece of chicken she left behind from the scooper into her mouth. I was grand-kid sitting, their folks were running late, it was dinner time, and it was nearby. I was a bit worried that it was so empty at dinner time, and thought about the burger place next door. But the kids didn't want burgers so we went it. The place was clean-ish, not bad, but could be better. Soon after we got their, a staff person did the cleanup rounds, which made things better. The food was good. I had the cuban chop, and the girls had a plain quesadilla and a kids chop. Tasty, surprisingly filling, at a very reasonable price. The line staff seemed a bit slow, but they picked up their game when a good number of customers came in. Reinforcements seemed to appear out of nowhere and the large group was handled quickly. read more
