I like CE but ... They screw up my damn order nearly 100% of the time. It is absolutely ridiculous. I guess we are dumb for continuing to give them business. We usually get home only to find they forgot a meal or a side. One time we ordered a 4 piece tenders and got no tenders in the box... only mashed potatoes and a roll. What kind if brain dead kids work here?? Also, their menu says they have catfish but they never have any made when I try to order it. If you do go through the drive thru make damn sure you check everything before you leave the parking lot because there is about a 90% chance they messed something up. Food has never been an issue. We all like it but the service is the worst!!! read more

Boned Chicken is always hit or miss, it's never bad, just not always as good as it is sometimes. Their tenders on the other hand are the best anywhere. 10 stars for Tenders with some slaw and mashed taters and gravy and a large glass of sweet tea! You need to teach your employees the difference between gravy and f'ing mashed potatoes this is the third time I've asked for a side of gravy and gotten mashed potatoes. First you make me wait 15 minutes for my order because you are out of chicken breasts and legs!!! Then when you hand it through the window you tell you put any extra leg in there for the wait it's 's a lucky thing you put an extra leg in there because I ordered the 3 piece meal and that "extra" leg made it almost what I ordered. Cold chicken, fries tasted like SOAP/disinfectant, gravy watery, ice tea clearly waaaaaaaay too old to be still selling.

This by far is the worst Chicken Express in the area. The chicken is usually not crispy and we've even found grisaille on the tenders,which is odd. The okra is never fresh as is the case with most of the sides. It is worth the trip to go to Denton or Sanger, you will find better quality if you do. read more

This location is closest to me but the worst I've ever been too... I cringe when my family asks for CE now because of how many bad experiences I've had here. On one visit they said 5-7 minutes on chicken so I paid and waited... and waited...AND WAITED 38 MINUTES! Next visit, chicken was undercooked (after I had waited 12 minutes). Called manager, said she would replace it on my next visit. So next visit, they couldn't find any record of the credit so no replacement for the chicken I had to throw out. Straw that broke the back... tonight 6:30... peak dinner time... they said 5-7 minutes on chicken so I left and I'm never going back! GO TO DENTON OR HIGHLAND VILLAGE!!! read more

First and last time I will ever go to this location. The sign on the door says it closes at 10. When we arrived at 9:25 the door was locked. The girl working said it was drive through only. We go through the drive through and order. This girl must have just smoked a big bowl of Kush. Took forever for her to finally get the order right. They were out of biscuits. We got the food and went home. Of course they didn't give us everything we asked for. Everything was cold. We went back and returned everything. I did find it funny that at 9:30, they had all the chicken just sitting in a box on the counter not even heated when they don't close until 10. Close your store down, better now than later. Horrible customer service. The only reason I go to this location is because it's so close to home.

Everything about this location is HORRIBLE. Staff, food, "management." Drove through around 8:45, and had to repeat the order several times before the girl got it right. After getting our order home we found out it was missing things, everything was cold, the side of green beans was not even half way full, and the Mac and cheese tasted like watered down noodles with clumps of what I guess was suppose to be cheese. When we drove back to return the food, only for the inside to be "closed" even tho it was only right after 9pm, the "manager" looked like a 16 year old kid who did not apologize or even care in the slightest. He walked away in the middle of my explaining what was wrong and his only reply was "alright." Never returning ever again. read more

Be careful when coming to this location. My sons baseball team had a game and decided to come here after their game. We walked in at 9:05 pm and the store hours state they close at 9:30 but we were informed the "lobby" was closed even though the store had the open sign on. As soon as we walked out they turned off the light and locked the doors. I guess the kids running the store had a party to get to. I am glad they lost out on $300-$400 in sales for the entire team. If they have this kind of customer service they obviously do not care about their customers so I can only imagine what kind of "care" they take with their food. read more

Used to be good, been there many times, but last visit was horrible. Food has gone way down hill. Drive through service stated they no longer carry biscuits, only rolls. The Official site states biscuits on their menu. The rolls were squashed flat when we opened the container. The potatoes were soupy and tasted like instant - not what they had been in the past. They were cold and so was the chicken and family sized okra. We had to microwave the food. Sweet tea had a dirty aftertaste. We threw them out. I'm very hesitant to try again, especially when I spend $40 for family dinner. read more

I used to like coming to Chicken Express on occasion (not the healthiest food for my diet), until a few weeks ago when I visited the store for my last time.. I placed an order for my usual wings, corn nuggets and okra with an unsweetened tea (again, trying to maintain my sugar intake). I received my food after having my order taken from the manager, James or Jackson or something with a J. Forgive me for not remembering exactly.. the point is irrefutable if it's ever even looked into, which I highly doubt it ever will be. I was on my way home, before I decided to take a sip of my drink, realizing it was SWEET tea, and not the unsweet I had ordered. This was about 9:40-9:50pm. I promptly turned around to just go get a replacement drink. Upon arrival at the store I saw that they were already closed, so I began to turn around when I saw the very same manager that had taken my order at the counter, with his arm around the very same girl who had packed my food!!! It wasn't just an arm around her, though. It was full-on canoodling. The type of attention my husband gives me, so I know the difference!! They were walking to their cars, I could tell it was her because of her face and she was wearing the same white jacket she wore when I was taking my order. I said to myself, "You have got to be kidding me!" I mean this is such a scandal. I didn't even bother to say anything to them. The store was already closed by the time I had returned and there was no need to cause a fuss and try to get my drink. It was no big deal.. but what I came across in attempting to return to Chicken Express to fix my order made me completely flabbergasted! Speechless! I am appalled that a manager would even allow himself to have a relationship with his employees knowing policies and rules against fraternization in the workplace. What makes me even more upset about the situation is that I know this store has cameras all over the place. I see them every time I'm there! So to think that the GM or owner, or whoever views these cameras hasn't seen this or said anything makes me distrust society even more. Your staff is appalling and disgusting and should be ashamed of themselves. I will never be returning to such a corrupt establishment. read more

Always been a fan of the food here but I was always disappointed by the quality of service until recently! New management has turned this place completely around!! Everyone on the staff is friendly and helpful and they go above and beyond to make sure I am taken care of completely. I no longer have to sit and wait for what seems like eternity to get mediocre (at best) food. The food is now always top notch quality, always fresh and served in LARGE portions like it should be. You know the definition of insanity...well, I decided to give this location another try HOPING for improvement over the last four visits. We love Chicken Express and this is the only location We have every ordered from that does NOT give you that one extra piece of chicken. You just come to expect it thanks to the others!! Anyway, the drive through took twenty minutes total from start to finish (at 6:25 pm)I arrived at the window (only three cars in Front of me) in about 13 minutes, paid, and then waited another 7 minutes at the window. No apology for the wait and when I asked why it was taking so long she replied, "we are busy". No smile, no apology for the wait. We had ordered the 7 piece chicken w a roll and biscuit and two Cole slaws. These were all crammed in One box and the roll was mashed flat.
