Our drinks arrived fairly quickly, but then we waited 15-20 minutes before our server came back to take our order, even though the restaurant didn't seem very busy. The biggest disappointment was the salad. There was an upcharge for it, but it was mostly lettuce with a few shredded carrots. It definitely didn't feel worth the extra cost. I ordered the chopped brisket. The portion size was generous, and the brisket itself had great flavor. The only issue was that there was quite a bit of fat mixed in with the meat, more than I would have preferred. Overall, the food had some good qualities, but the slow service and disappointing salad made the experience less enjoyable than it should have been.

She had our sweet teas (which we actually nice and sweet) at the table fast. I ordered the fried mushrooms which were nice and hot, but needed seasoning. The house salad had onions, garden salad and 1 tomato. I ordered the four piece fried catfish. It was small pieces, not overcooked, light and needed seasoning. They had tobacco sauce, but Texas Pete would have made it better. The hush puppies were okay. Food came out pretty quickly as well. It has been a while since I have been here, but it was good considering needing seasoning. We are glad we came. They have military discount with a valid ID card as well.

I'm a huge fan of the Chicken Box! I have been eating between their old location on MLK Blvd (until…read morelost to a flood) and here at this location for 39 years. First off, two words, DIPPED CHICKEN!! You are not doing this chicken right if you don't get it "dipped". A super tasty spicy juicy sauce. It goes perfect on the chicken and just as tasty on the Livers & Gizards. If you don't get it dipped, the flaky crust breading is still delicious! The other bonus ... their menu here features some popular Korean dishes too. You can get Beef Bulgogi, Chicken Bulgogi, and Pork Bulgogi. Their Pork Bulgogi being my favorite! They all come as a plate with Vegetable Fried Rice or Steamed White Rice, along with two Yakimandu. You can't go wrong with one (or two if extra hungry) of these Bulgogi plates. Service is always spot on and fairly quick. There's an occasional minor hold up, but it's only because there doing it up fresh. The atmosphere is a bit of an old building, but she keeps it clean inside. Landlord won't do any updates. Im sharing the Korean food pics this time. Some of my Chicken might be in the gallery from years past, if not, I'll get some up soon.

They were dry - most likely under the lamp too long. ‍ We dipped them in gravy often and ate what we could but, no. Not ok. And, of course, it was a drive-thru order so it wasn't discovered until we sat down to eat. I will say that your veggies, gravy, and rolls were spot on! They were all super warm and fresh - Hence, 3 Stars instead of 1. I can only speak for me and my household but I know we def would have preferred to wait an extra 2-3 min for freshly cooked poultry.

Tonight I had a craving, ordered a few different items to see which would satisfy that craving. One of the items was a 'Beefy Potato Loaded Griller Burrito'. First big bite into it was very disappointing. The 'Fiesta Strips' in the first bite were very hard and stale. Very hard, then I realized there were no Fiesta Strips in this burrito's ingredients. It was the potato pieces, they were rock hard, barely chewable. The bounced off the table they were so hard. There are a few of them in the attached photo. I imagine this would have been great with the proper potatoes. The 'Steak Quesadilla' was single handedly the best item in my order. Nothing wrong there, gotta stick with them in the future The other grilled burritos were just off, gotta quit ordering them. The thing that got me the most, the 'Chocolate Fudge & Caramel Empandas', on the NEW menu. I was thrilled to see the Caramel Empanada return, u so loved those in the past. Now you have to order them as a pair. Was so disappointed to see them upon opening the wrapper, they're now a third of the size they used to be. To crown the disappointment further, they were so nasty. They must have cooked these at 7am and then served them to me at 7pm. These WERE NOT fresh by any means, they were closer to leftovers from yesterday. Doesn't do any good to complain to management, as it's all young high school kids. It was six months ago since I last ate here, will likely be longer until I do so again.
