I don't go to Chick-fil-a as often as I do other fried chicken chains or as often as I did when this restaurant was king of the chicken sandwich. The reasons are it is often crowded and ordering becomes a hassle in their drive-thru, the chicken sandwich is the smallest of all chains, and I prefer the sandwiches at KFC, Popeye's, Bo Jangles, and even Church's, and Culver's has a nice sandwich. Since Popeyes threw down the gauntlet in Aug 2019 with the introduction of their now famous chicken sandwich, all the national and regional chains now offer their version, as do many local restaurants - check out the BYO at Bad Daddy's, the hot chicken at Bossy Beulah's, the fried chicken at Alex's in Lewisville, and there are even more! I know Chick-fil-A is still very popular, the drive-thru lines attest to that, but CFA has slipped in the national popularity area, usually listed as definitely behind Popeye's & KFC, and being pressured by Raisin' Caine's and perhaps others. I popped in here because it was off prime time, customer traffic was light, and I was a bit hungry. I ordered the Spicy Deluxe and it was quickly out. This is a decent sandwich, and I enjoyed it, but it in no way changes my view about which chicken sandwiches I prefer. read more

This CFA location consistently serves hot, tasty food quickly and efficiently. The drive - thru can get crowded but they are pretty good at moving you through fairly quickly. Today I got the Mac & cheese, one thing I like about their Mac and cheese is that they always make sure you have a clump of that chewy cheese from the top of the pan The only downside I have found to this location is that the area traffic can make it a little difficult to get in and out, depending on the time of day. I do tend to avoid it when Sam's Club/Hanes Mall Blvd. is busy, for that reason, but that's not the restaurant's fault. read more

I can't believe I'm doing this... I've never had a bad experience at Chick-fil-A in my whole life I don't think. Until today. I've probably been to this CFA more than any, and never had an issue. Until today. I went through the drive through and it was a shorter, young girl with dark hair and glasses taking my order. Completely unfriendly and honestly kind of rude. She didn't really acknowledge me when I pulled up other than looking at me, and I proceeded with my name and order. Throughout the order she was interrupting me to speak with two other employees who were standing off to the side, speaking into each other's headsets. Not the end of the world I suppose. I had a reward to redeem in the app, and I told her as well. It apparently was not accepted, but I didn't know because she didn't tell me my total, she just held out the machine for my card. On top of all this, I requested no pickles on one of the sandwiches and it was incorrect. Can't help but feel had she been paying more attention to my order and not her coworkers, it would've been correct. There was no sticker on the bag to indicate a special order, so I don't think it was a kitchen mistake. I know pickles isn't a big deal, but this was far from that standard Chick-fil-A quality were all used to. In my opinion, this restaurant chain not only has some of the best-tasting chicken (and lemonade) in the business, it also has one of the most-exceptional approaches to customer service! As I pulled up to the drive-thru pathway, I came to a tall, kind brother with dreadlocks and his trusty iPad, which he used to redeem my gift card and complete my order. I have specific food preferences and Chick-fil-A easily accommodated my request for a multigrain bagel with only egg. I also ordered a medium fruit cup and hot water (since I had a tea bag in my purse). The rest of my party ordered a variety of items. The hot water and coffee stayed hot for a while. The egg bagel was good and the fruit cup was fresh and included a variety of fruits. The line at this Chick-fil-A was longer than what I have typically seen at other locations. Nonetheless, the line moved quickly (with the double drive thru and efficient employees and ordering process) and our order was accurate. We would visit this Chick-fil-A location again! read more

If you ever start to lose faith in humanity, go to Chick-fil-A on Hanes Mall Blvd in Winston Salem. You walk in and the whole place reminds me of that scene in Grey's Anatomy in which the residents find the Dermatology floor. It makes you want to just stand there and take it all in. Everything is clean! Everything smells good! Even the restrooms are clean! Chick-Fil-A has always had some sort of personnel magic that gave them the ability to find and hire fantastic people, but this particular location is even beyond their norm. Troy and Jennifer took care of me and they were a breath of fast food fresh air! Chick-fil-A is always tasty. It's a chain. They're pretty homogenous, but I'll drive past other Chick-fil-A locations to go back here because of the attention to detail and the welcoming people. read more

Poor service, I ordered a salad and asked them replace the grilled chicken on it with a spicy fillet. I asked if they could cut up the fillet instead of putting a whole fillet on the salad. I was told they can not. I've worked at a CFA for over 4 years, in a different location & have done this for customers many times. Small bag of deception from a cynical server. CHECK YOUR BAGS!! regardless of what is verbally articulated directly to your face. The server may implicitly lie to the next guest as the server lied to me (by insinuating the bag extended to me contained the item labeled that I had purchased on Saturday night before Mother's Day). I certainly expected a brownie in the bag. Unfortunately, the bag contained a cookie and a stack of napkins--NO brownie. As a result, unintentionally on Mother' Day, I disappointed someone who desired a brownie. PLEASE CHECK YOUR BAGS!!! Those actions were unkind. I go to this chick fil a location about once a week. The past few times I have been here (today included) my has been subpar. I usually order chicken nuggets and they have not been fresh lately so today I wanted to try something different so I ordered chicken strips. The strips were made up mostly of fried batter with barely any chicken to them. But today I purchased a large fry with my chicken nuggets and this is like the 3rd or 4th time that they only filled half of fry container. I went to this Chick-Fil-A much more often when I lived here. In fact, I remember when they were building this one & did know people in high school who worked at this location. My sister probably still knows some of the employees there by name & some probably still remember her. Putting the politics of the CEO aside, this place does have good food, good service and all the stuff you'd see at any other Chick-Fil-A location. The only downside to this one is that it's also located in mall hell. The drive thru is constructed in such a way that getting in here to eat at a busy period means you're often risking life, limb and automobile. If you can find a less crowded Chick-Fil-A, you're probably better off but if you do get into this one it will be worth it. read more

In these times with constraints about how we can or can't shop, it was a real let-down when this location would not sell gift cards. They "can't do that right now" with no other explanation. *Don't eat the salad if you need it special* I normally have a rule not to leave a review unless it is good, but this is 5 out of 5 salads they have screwed up. I have allergies, I bleed if I eat what I am allergic to. They either leave something on like carrots or cheese that I am allergic to, or the put cold chicken, bacon or eggs that I cannot have pregnant. I have had to go all of the way back through the drive thru 4 times with toddlers to get it right. I got home after they "fixed the salad" and appologized tonight. I swear to the Lord they put lettuce and dressing in the bag. Ummm where is the grilled chicken I paid $8 for? If I wanted a pile of lettuce I can get that in the yard. Cobb salad no egg, bacon, cheese, carrots and grilled chicken still has corn, chicken, tomatos, etc. Why can't you just be like the other locations and make a salad! read more

The food is typical CFA quality, my lower review is based on cleanliness of the inside. They have done a lot of renovations to the place to make it look nicer, but they never seem to clean the kids area. Every time I have gone in there have been more hand prints on the windows separating the rooms than most grocery stores or elementary schools. The inside of the play area has poor circulation and smells like a gym locker, even when there has not been a lot of kids in there. We only come here when the kiddo wants to play in the "tall play area" but the other CFAs in Winston are much cleaner and we do those first. read more

Who doesn't love Chick-fil-A? Every experience at Chick-fil-A is quite similar, in my opinion. This location may be inconvenient, but the great service, genuine employees, and the speed and efficiency set this location apart. I have never been inside, because I usually just grab breakfast or lunch on the way to work, but it's always packed inside. On my visit today, they had young ladies standing outside of the drive-thru line taking care of customers' orders. They were very kind, and patient when taking the orders. Solid service and food. I thought it would have suffered seeing that it is inside the mall, but nope. It's located on the second floor in the mall in the food court. Everyone was very pleasant and I received my order really fast. Chick-fil-a is always delicious! Their chicken sandwich was super crispy and huge! The pickles were also very crisp. This location had great service and the food was really good. I enjoyed a chicken biscuit with potatoes and a frozen coffee. The frozen coffee is really good for a fast food restaurant. The chicken biscuit and breakfast potatoes were hot and tasty. They brought out my food to me and even got me extra napkins when I needed them.
