Placed a catering order and went to pick up today. I had the best experience with the nicest workers. They made my transaction very easy. The manager held the door for the worker who was sweet enough to help me carry it out to my car (and my car was not close to the building). Lol So clean inside, well taken care of property, great customer service, and a wonderful experience. The food was hot when I picked it up. The macaroni and cheese was very delicious. I could tell that it hadn't been sitting there waiting for me to pick it up because it wasn't mushy as I have found with other places. The chicken was cooked perfectly and definitely not dry. Tried having grace, but I've been many times now and the service has not improved. Been their three times. Twice the order was wrong, but who wants to get inline to sit another 45 mins! Third time 8:00pm four customers in line a 30 min wait. Got home , only had 3 waffle fries. I've had nothing but a good experience with this Chick-fil-A. I almost always order in the Chick-fil-A app for curbside pickup. It's super easy and my order is always right, and with curbside, you're not idling in the drive thru lane. Yes, it does take a full 30 minutes for me to drive to, park and wait for my order, and drive back to my office, but I expect it and plan for it. My experience at this CFA location was shocking. The drive thru line was full, yet moving so terribly slow (not the CFA drive thru service I am used to). Service was not only slow, but also unfriendly. The workers were visibly indoors chatting with other rather than working efficiently to serve the long line of customers. So we were very very excited to have a Chick-fil-A come to our side of town so that we don't have to drive all the way to Mishawaka for our favorite chicken sandwich... I am a regular visitor to Chick-fil-A and have breakfast and lunch from the Mishawaka location regularly. I waited for three separate visits to the portage Avenue location before posting this review because I knew that it had just recently opened and it may take some time for the staff to get trained adequately. I have yet to have one good, timely customer experience at this location and even if my experience was subpar but just OK I wouldn't be posting this review. The only reason I'm posting this review is the abhorrently horrible customer experience that I have had every time that I have visited this new location. Tonight I ordered food for the family as a mobile order on the app and took the initiative to drive to the location myself to pick the food up rather than ordering through DoorDash. I was required to wait 40 minutes in line at the drive-through to pick up my mobile order while DoorDash drivers were allowed to walk right in the restaurant and pick up mobile orders for delivery. There is absolutely no point at all in offering a mobile order and then forcing someone to wait in a 40 minute drive through line to pick up their mobile order, there is zero business sense to this when the restaurant allows DoorDash drivers to walk right in and pick the order up off of the DoorDash and mobile order rack in the lobby. That doesn't even begin to get into the details of why it took so long to get through the drive-through, complete disarray is the only thing I can say about the experience... The food may be good but good food with absolutely horrible god awful rotten customer service experience doesn't work. read more

Get there and no one have a clue about my order. Today, after telling them I arrived, I waited an additional 15 minutes for my order. Mind you, there was NO line inside to place an order. The entire counter was covered in drinks and shakes, all sitting there, no food to go with it. Asked THREE times if they even had my order.
