The service here was amazing. One of the best chick fil a I have been too. Food was amazing and would go again!

O.K. O.K., In-N-Out Burger might be the KING of All Fast Food drive-thru line wait times.... And when it comes to their Burgers (depending on who you ask) are consistently rated the best of the best (price/quality/consistency)... But their fries, yeah those In-N-Out fries (again, depending on who you ask) are... Well, you know where I'm going with this ;) But..... During a recent trip to Paso Robles, we pulled off in Santa Barbara to grab a quick dinner before getting back on the road and found ourselves at Chick-fil-A on State Street. As we pulled into the parking lot to get in line for the drive-thru, we were funneled from not one lane, not two lanes, but THREE lanes of ordering MADNESS!!! Take that In-N-Out! Yeah! After we placed our order, all we could do is patiently wait to inch forward, until it was our time to retrieve our food. PICTURE THIS: If you've ever been to a Go Kart race or seen how NASCAR or Formula One line up at the start of a race.... That's exactly what it looked/felt like... But instead of winning a Trophy and/or Buckets of cold hard cash at the finish line.... The prize at this locations "finish line" (the pick up window) is a pretty white bag, with a red chicken on it filled with delicious fried or grilled chicken, piping hot waffle fries, and the best assortment of dipping sauces! (WHAT ARE YOUR GO-TO SAUCES HERE???) Yeah, The Waffle Fries at Chick-fil-A definitely takes the Gold when compared to In-N-Outs fries (again, depending on who you ask) --------------- Side Note: Who thinks the C.E.O of Chick-fil-A should do the C.E.O "Burger Challenge". Obviously with one of their classic fried chicken sandwiches. I mean, After The McDonalds C.E.O went viral, I like how these other Fast Food Giants are putting their own Top Dog's to the test. --------------- On our Friday evening visit (6pm), once we finally got our food, we pulled into a parking spot so the kids could use the restroom before continuing on our road trip to Paso. And just like the three drive-thru lines, the inside dining area was completely packed as well. I guess all those cows holding up signs that say: "EAT MOR CHIKIN" is actually paying off! ;) So.... If you find yourself in S.B. and you are craving a little Chicken & perfectly salted Waffle Fries for you & the fam bam... Get in line! Drivers Start Your Engines. I needed one second to open the app and get to the scan rewards page, literally would have taken me one second but somehow despite the fact 2 other cars in another lane and zero cars behind me caused enough concern for an employee to start waving her hands and telling me to pull forward immediately. Again no cars behind or around me and I was maybe 5 feet from the next available employee. I did not need an employee from another lane all together to come rush me. I told her one second and showed her the app was loading on my phone. She said "no you need to pull forward". No I need to never come back here again. I know to pull forward, I know how this works. So much so that if I DONT GET MY CODE SCANNED BEFORE THE ORDER STARTS I WILL LOSE OUT ON POINTS. So F that B she can S my D I will not be returning to this location of Chick-fil-A ever again. Is this some kind of JOKE?! Our kale salads are literally less than half full. Lettuce is so wilted and not crunchy/leafy like I'm used to from their kale salads. This has happened a few times before but it's never been this bad. How do they think this is acceptable? I will either never come here, or I will be checking the salads before I leave if I do. Travis Collin's, talk to your team. This seems to be an ongoing issue but this is far the worst. This is absolutely unacceptable as the kale salad is the only reason I go sometimes and it's my favorite thing. SO UPSET. This Chick is on fire This Chick is on fire Sauce dippin' on fire... I've had to stop a few times on my long drives for work and this Chick-fil-A has always been on point. I've sat to eat and ordered on the mobile app for pick up. Service has been fast and friendly even with the rush. They do have a changing table in the men's restroom (finally). Overall very clean inside and out. It's not too far off the 101 freeway so you can hop right back on after you enjoyed your meal. The food has been good and fresh. Crispy fries and ask for your favorite sauces. Grilled Spicy Deluxe w/ Colby Jack Meal was tasty, nice little spice to it (secretly wish I had more hot sauce to add) and I felt healthy (yeah I know it probably isn't). Came here with my family as a stop on our 5 hour road trip. We all got our usuals (fries, lemonade, nuggets, cool wrap, etc.). The reason I am writing this review is because the service is exceptional! This is the only Chick-fil-A in Santa Barbara and I understand they see a lot of customers daily. Also, every table was filled when we walked in. I tried the tortilla for the first time today and did not like it. I decided to see if they would let me switch to a mac and cheese and they did, with no problem. I was more than thankful and the mac and cheese was delicious. Thank you to whoever met my request! P.S. all of the tables had cute flowers on them and there were Christmas decorations throughout the restaurant. How special! read more

The spicy chicken sandwich is my go to. I haven't eaten inside this location since pre covid. I usually go to the drive thru, it was super clean and plenty of seating. Though while we were in line we thought we might have to go outside to enjoy our meal. Staff was super friendly and said my pleasure each time they served us. The flowers on the tables were real!! You can't beat their spicy chicken sandwich! The staff is always friendly and quick to serve your meal. They even expanded their drive through to meet the need of the customers. In our case, my daughter in law is 9 days past her baby's due date and the only thing that sounded good is chick fil a nuggets and Mac n cheese. So I placed the order and double checked because it seemed like a good idea. Lo and behold, no Mac n cheese. So David C gets a shout out from me. He saw the problem and solved it by asking what size Mac n cheese would be good? I said large and he brought it out with a smile on his face, happy to make the order right. Thanks, David C. I went here for the first time via drive thru. There was no menu display like other fast food joints. Several lines of cars were next to each other. Employees come up to you with their devices and take your order. My buddy told me that's just how it is and you have to know what you want when you get there. I got a spicy chicken sandwich and waffle fries. It was tasty but I was expecting it to be really amazing. The hype on the internet led me to that train of thought. I'd eat here again. This Chick-fil-a needs to learn from its competitor In-N-Out. Their new drive thru process is smooth and efficient, whereas this recently updated drive thru is worse than before. The only difference is they added a third line and then parking spaces to wait. It's luck of the draw; if you choose to fill in the wrong line, you'll wait forever while everyone else's food is being made. The staff wasn't friendly, not apologetic for the wait. Once I received my meal, the fries were cold and chicken club sandwich was nothing special. Even as a club with bacon and cheese it's basic with not much flavor. It has a very interesting layout for their drive through. There are three lanes and at the end of the lane there is one guy frantically rushing bags of food to all three lines. The food was normal and definitely hits the spot when you're craving a chicken sandwich. read more

Family combo meal is awesome if you're looking for sandwiches and fries to satisfy your hunger. The chicken sand was delicious. The spicy deluxe chicken sandwich was tasty too. Can't go wrong with the fries. The Mac& cheese was good too, but don't let it stand for too long bc it gets nasty when cold. Whenever doing drive through, the servers always hook up the sauces with the exact count I request. This recent order was placed through door daah. I placed orders for specific sauces and to my surprise, no sauces included in my order. Somewhat disappointing bc I had to just use ketchup from the fridge. 4th time I go there with the family and they claim they don't do shakes only for Mobile orders. When I asked why? They said it was a decision based on the people inside for the day, but yet.... You see the staff drinking shakes as they are helping the drive thru. How and why you would limit a customer to only certain items in the menu. Very dissatisfied! read more

Weirdness from staff. I asked for a veterans discount and was told that the local discontinued the veterans discount. I had been a regular customer previously receiving the discount so I asked the attendant (a young Latina female with glasses) to check. She seemed annoyed, walked to the window and quietly walked back and started "you need to be in uniform." Difficult to do if you're a veteran. I proceeded with my order and thought maybe I came across as pushy for asking the attendant to check. I received my order and after leaving the drive through discovered that my order was totally wrong, e.g , ordered iced tea - received a coke, ordered grilled chicken nuggets - received breaded nuggets, requested bbq sauce - received ranch. And most of all a passive aggressive tone from the attendant leads me to believe they have issues customer service issues at this location. read more

Great organized service! There were huge line but didn't slow customer a bit. Order and deliver all in the car with no mistake they will find u with your order. Their chicken sandwiches always good and personally I like the spicy one. Their chicken nuggets are real chicken meats with variety of sauce. You never have to worry about what sauce you need. It seemed like a good idea at the time as i had never tasted the food at Chick-fil-A (hereafter known as the Chick). But results of what i received via the atrociously situated take out line wrapping around State Street i have to judge as mixed. First of all i was looking forward to the grilled Chicken Nuggets and the Waffle Fries: both which arrived barely warm and rather tasteless. On top pf that as i should have known: bagged foods, especially bagged fried foods tend to be soggy when they arrive at their destination. And unfortunately this was the case with the Waffle Fries. Too bad because their waffle criss cross structure tends to travel well in that the slices have more structure and rigidity than do regular sliced fries. But why were they so bland? Fries in whatever configuration need to be salted and seasoned as soon as they come out of the fryer so that the flavorings "stick" to the meat of the potato. Not so here. The Grilled Chicken Nuggets were ok-good. I do not mind the rather haphazard portioning of each nugget order which means to me that a larger piece of chicken is sliced up to make an order of the Grilled Nugs. They probably use the Chicken Sammy portion to slice up. Smart move, business-wise but where is the salt and pepper? I nabbed a Fried chicken nugget from my nephew's plate and that was tastier: so an 11 year old out smarted me once again! So, pretty much what i tasted from here was not special, not tasty and mostly soggy. Whoever comes up with a way to package and transport fast foods without their turning soggy and lifeless will deserve whatever they earn from it! Billions, maybe? Food is consistently amazing, staff is always so nice and friendly, and they love Bleu Boy!!

This location is pretty far off of the freeway. I thought it was closer than wha I remembered. There's parking available onsite and the spaces are pretty big. The inside is modern and clean. Although, there's only 2 registers at the counter and only 1 person was working it on a Friday afternoon. I don't understand why no one was manned at the other one taking orders since they had so many staff members in the back. That's my only knock on them. As for the food, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. I feel that Chick fil A has lost its luster over the years. I remember when they first came to California. It was a big craze, but now I feel that their fried sandwiches are a bit on the salty side and slightly dry. The grilled patty was dry and the texture reminded me of frozen patties. I do like their sweet teas and sauces, but feel that their food quality is not the same as before. read more
