This Chick-Fil-A is super fancy with its decorations. I have never been to such a fancy one. Well thats about the only good thing about it. The service was terrible. They gave us the wrong order 4 times and they were not friendly. My daughter said that the food looked and tasted like it had been microwaved. $30 for 3 chicken microwaved meals. I would rate this a 0 if I could. Went around 9:30pm last night and they messed up on my order and I didn't notice till I got home. They said they were closing in 30 min so if either I have a month to be able to get the sandwich they forgot or go back before they close. I asked if I can get my order remade and I'll return the cold food I had they said no and then hung up on me. I called again and they didn't answer my calls till I called from a different number. I then went to return the food to just get a refund. Not a single manger or person at the window even apologized only the workers in drive thru who knew we were just there. They forgot my fries and like another person said in a review, they questioned me like I was lying. They said the drive thru girl replaced my fries with a medium mac & cheese. I didn't ask her to substitute it at any time, she just did it on her own. Then they made me pay for the fries even though I went all the way back in line. Check your bags before you leave. I have been waiting to try this place out, the lines are always long and I heard lots of good things about it. So tonight was the night, line wasn't too bad, seemed to be moving quickly. I was greeted with a smile and a friendly face, she took my order, I paid with her, she directed me to move forward, all good stuff at this point. They bring my food to me while I was still in line, not at the window where you would normally pick up your food, which would be great, except for one thing, by the time the cars in front of me had gotten their food, I had been in line for over 15 minutes waiting to exit, my fries were soggy, my chicken sandwich was cold and soggy. It was my turn at the window, I said that I couldn't eat that food, it was cold and soggy, they offered to give me fresh fries, I politely declined. I said, either refund me my entire order and I will leave or re-do my entire cold and soggy meal. I asked them if they would pay $16.00 for a cold and soggy meal, they said no. So they took the cold food and asked me to park my car in the overflow while they re-made my meal. Which was fair, I wouldn't want to hold up anyone behind me and have them end up with the same meal I did. So I parked where they asked me too. They brought me out "fresh" food, only it wasn't fresh, it was the same cold, soggy meal I started with. I at this point decided it wasn't worth the effort anymore, I probably should have demanded my money back at this point, but I just wanted to leave. I give the staff who took my order and greeted me 5 stars easily, the people at the window pushing the food out, they get 2 stars and the only reason they get 2 stars is because the gentlemen at the window said "we shouldn't deliver any more food out to the cars because they are going to have the same issue I just had, cold and soggy food" Kudos to the gentlemen for recognizing that. I ate the best Chick -fila sandwich and salad in Texas , but I got a very bad experience at Salinas Chick fila . First, the girl did not take my order correctly . I had not completed my order and they asked me what my name was. Then I mentioned that I still needed to order Cobb salad. The girl went on to ask me about the sauce. But at that time my partner thought she was asking him of the salad dressing. It turned out that I did not get any chick fila sauce. In my opinion , the girl needed to ask me if it was all that I ordered for today? And she needs to figure out what was dressing and what was sauce!!!!!!! Second , I saw three workers talking by the order pick-up desk and I really did not get why three people were put there to talk!!! Thirdly, we could not find any signs to direct us into the drive through. It was really confusing. Fourth, I downloaded chick file apps , but how come it did not offer this service at Salinas chick fila. Now I am starting to miss chick fi la in Texas. This is a review on the way they run the restaurant itself. I don't eat their food so I can't comment on its quality. The place is dirty. There's this women running about the dinning room acting like she's busy, but not one table is cleaned. We obviously did walk- in instead of drive thru because the the line wraps around the mall... Tried chick-fil-a for the first time ever in my life. Me, my wife, our nephew and our two dogs went to the drive thru at around 1pm on January 14th 2022, we were in a Red 2021 Prius in case you want to look up cameras. I rolled down the window and there was a girl ready to take our order on one of their tablet things, she had a tiny menu hanging in front of POS. Since it was our first time, I was looking at the menu, trying to think what to order, there was only one car behind us. After like 5 seconds, this employee goes what can I get you? I gave her my initial order and was asking my wife what does she want. My two dogs started barking, we immediately calmed them down and they were fine. This employee looked so unhappy and upset, she was talking to us about our order and immediately stopped, took a very deep breath and ask us to move forward as the car in front of moved. Then I asked her if they have waffle fries? She said your meals come with waffle fries, that's the only kind of fries they carry. I told her to please add one more to my order, she's looking at me and said ok, she didn't do anything on her POS. We moved to the window after paying and what do you know? She never added that order of waffle fries. This worker came off as very rude, un-welcoming to us, may be she doesn't like dogs, or may be she was just having a bad day, I am not sure. I have heard alot of good things about chick-fil-a's service and food and honestly, we were not impressed at all and literally compared them with Taco Bell. I cannot figure out what made Chick-Fil-A decide to open in Salinas? When I first heard about Chick-Fil-A coming to Salinas I was super thrilled and so when my dad brought my mom and I food from Chick-Fil-A for the first time we were excited to see what the hype was all about. Sadly it was not what I thought it was supposed to be as I thought my chicken tenders were gonna be great but nothing special and my dad disliked his chicken sandwich and my mom was also very disappointed with Chick-Fil-A as well. About the only thing I enjoyed was the waffle fries and they were good. I remember when Chick-Fil-A used to be in Northridge Mall in 1989 and the food was good then but this Chick-Fil-A's food is a far cry from what it used to be in the 80's. I think if they improved their food a little more Chick-Fil-A would gain more attention and become more popular in Salinas read more

The workers need to work on their customer service. They are always more concerned with standing around and talking to each other. The drive thru is inefficient and unorganized. My order sat at the window for 7 minutes, while other people had their orders walked to their car. I think they need to close for a day and go to San Jose to see how they operate at the locations there. I was really excited to try this place, but I definitely won't be going back. The only reason I gave two stars is because the staff is really friendly. I ordered my food inside, then was waiting inside and was asked to wait outside for my order. Shortly afterwards they delivered my milkshake. My food didn't come until 15 minutes later, my milkshake had melted already so i asked for a refund. About three employees were just looking at each other like what do we do. Staff is super friendly but it seems like they don't really know what's going on. Also it was very frustrating that people went in and ordered and came out with food before i even got mine. First visit and it has been a very frustrating experience. Saw the line for drive through and decided I'd try the pick up. Had to order via the app which was fine. Currently I have been waiting for over an hour and just had to talk to manager. This was after talking to the person taking names and the people bringing out food to have them check on my order. The manager just told me that my order was listed as completed and picked up. Said that they are redoing it and it will be fresh. That is little satisfaction given that I have waited over an hour and people just checking are being told it will take 25 to 30 minutes.
