I'm not exactly a food snob, yet large chain fast food has never much appealed to me. I will only turn to it if I'm in a time crunch and there aren't other easily available options. I went through the drive-up window and it all went smoothly, although there was a good wait (fifteen minutes +/-) to get through it by time we got the food. Just got a typical hamburger, fries and soft drink; medium size. The medium size turned out to be a much bigger portion than expected. It all was good, as I'd anticipate it would be. Wendy's tends to be a bit better quality than McDonald's and Burger King, in my opinion; yet it still is fast food and a bit boiler plate in prep, execution and flavor. The specials included spicy chicken sandwich, 10 pices of chicken nuggets, Dave's classic cheeseburger, and the classic chicken sandwich. We ordered the classic chicken sandwiches and the Dave's classic cheeseburgers. The batter for the classic chicken sandwiches were light and airy. Love me a wendys baconator. Went through the drive through on 12/20, ordered the pretzel baconator with a doctor pepper. The two employees at the window were going back and forth about which drink at the window was my dr pepper or the next orders coke zero. He was adamant the drink i got was the dp. The girl was like are you sure. He was like yes! Well he was wrong. The was the first ding. Great pit stop, we needed food on the drive down to my grandmas. It's right off the exit highway so it was easy to find and easy to get back to the highway which was a bonus for us who are visiting the state. Food was fine, dad freaked out because he hasn't had ranch fries style. Apparently they used to sell ranch style fries at the Wendy's in Anchorage, Alaska and they stopped. That really got him excited! He was super happy! They are not very good at listening to the order while we were in the drive thru. We kept repeating things and we were kind of getting frustrated. Might of been a language barrier, but to be honest it didn't seem like it. It's funny, many of the reviews had/have the same issue we had. It's fast food so I can't complain too much. This is the onky Wendy's weve been to that has put a lot if restrictions on the Frosty tag. Even if we purchased the tag from them. Funny thing - other Wendy's honors the tag even with a mobile order. This. Wendy's will not. They wanted us to buy the Frosty on the app. Pay for it on the app - then they wlll refund it when we pickup our meal. Or they want us to purchase our food at the restaurant not the app otherwise, they will not honor the Frosty tag. We obviously do not want to do that due to COVID. read more

I've gone through their drive through a handful of times and they get my order wrong 9 times out of 10. From missing items to giving me the wrong item. Today was no different. I ordered a strawberry iced tea and a deluxe cheese no ketchup. I got a strawberry lemonade and a deluxe cheese extra ketchup. Can the adults please please please supervise the children working here? Came through the drive through and was asked to pull around to the front( no problem) The lady who came out was very nice but there was No, receipt, none of the sauces, no straws, and 1 napkin for 2 full meals. I went in and got what they forgot, not pleased but things happen, again no problem. As I drove away I grabbed a few fries to snack on that were Luke warm at best. Great pit stop on our way down the 101. Located in a large Walmart parking lot in a free standing building with a drive-Thru. Easy for us to pull in with our RV and park. Lots of other shopping, Costco, and other food establishments nearby. Inside Wendy's there are a few TVs and clean seating. Very comfortable and safe place to take the family for lunch. Kids enjoyed the chicken strips and frostys. read more

I had ordered a ten piece nugget when we finally got our food they didn't even give me my nuggets! We've gone a couple times while passing through Salinas, and it's always a reliable place to get a reasonable meal in term of calories (like 300 in a baked potato, the chili won't kill you, their side salads put BK's to shame). I can't say I ever leave this place clicking my heels, and it's not the nicest Wendy's location I've ever been to, but the service is solid and the grub hits the spot. Went through the drive thru and was told to pull around to wait for our food in the front. Always a bummer since the line was empty but whatever. Waiting for about ten minutes and had to walk in to check on our order. They said we had to wait due to ordering the chicken sandwiches instead of the burgers. Once we got our food, the fries were cold and I'm not too sure what about the chicken we were waiting on, because the chicken sandwiches were also cold and dried out? No lettuce was provided on our sandwiches but they had no signs they were out when we went through the drive thru or let us know they were out when we ordered. Should we drink it with a spoon or eat it with a straw? If only they had stronger straws here that wouldn't collapse at the sheer thought of a vacuum chamber. At least Mr. Dave still makes a good Wendy's Single Cheeseburger. Can't complain about those old fashioned, never frozen patties, and buns as fluffy as pancakes -- seriously, that's how one customer described their composition. If you like your chili hot with lots of onions and cheese on it, this is the place. Or if your looking for a fast meal but don't want just another burger, then enjoy a baked potato or even a healthy salad. I never was one for eating burgers all the time so was glad to discover this place as an alternative to the typical burger joint. They do sell great hamburgers here, but I always just come here for the cup of chili with cheese and onions. Fabulous!! read more

If I was stuck on a desert island with few foods to eat my fast food place of choice would be Wendy's because there's something about Wendy's that makes me just love it. I don't know if it's the burgers or fries or chicken nuggets or a combination of all three. Out of the two Wendy's locations in Salinas this Wendy's location is the best because the burgers always come out fresh and hot and the fries are excellent too. And you can always count on Wendy's to be sometimes very speedy. And plus this Wendy's is very good for a quick bite after shopping at the nearby Walmart. My dad just loves Wendy's Dave's Double burgers and my mom likes their chicken nuggets too. The only problem with Wendy's is that sometimes there can be a long line at the drive-thru so I advise anybody wanting Wendy's to be patient but other than that a great place to eat and well worth every penny read more

Ok so I don't really like to review fast food chains but I saw the review of the previous yelper and I was a bit disappointed. As she put before she dislikes fast food chains....then why go?!?so I decided to go check out this horrendous place. Guess what? Yea it is a fast food joint and guess what? for a fast food place it's good. The workers are nice and they really try to get your food out asap. After a day in the pool my buddies and I decided to swing by and get some food. Together we got the bacon cheeseburger, a regular hamburger, French fries and guess what??? Chicken nuggets (dark music playing) First of all the nuggets don't taste anything like chemicals. Yummy yum nuggets especially when dipped in bbq sauce. And the rest of the food was good too. But if you plan on coming to a fast food joint hoping for the best of the best then save the trouble and move on. Wendys is a fast and tasty alternative, hence the reason they call it fast food.
