I have always had so much respect for Chick-Fil-A and what they stand for, Absolutely DISAPPOINTED is to say the least, for the service today and the extreme rudeness and disrespectfulness I felt today! The wait is always worth it, but not today at this Chick-Fil-A , we stopped by after leaving the Veterans Hospital to get lunch, the wait was absolutely extreme as we waited almost 40 minutes in line, with PaPa's air in the truck not wanting to work right, you see he is almost 90 years old, not to mention he served this great nation in the Korean War, one of the few of that generation that is left that fought for the freedoms we have!! When we finally got to the pick up window I received our bag which was supposed to be and requested to be in two separate bags so he could take his home in a bag, ok I can fix, then there was food missing, condiments missing, dumped in and scattered all over and my frozen coffee was sitting in hot sun and was melted.... so I said very politely to the young lady at window "we are missing food and if we could get a separate bag and I would just separate everything that was just dumped and spilt it myself in bag" At that time the manager I suppose, stuck her head out in an arrogant rude manner and said give me you bag what's the problem she says, I said we should have two salads and only have one. She Ridley yells give me your receipt, ok, you didnt Have but One salad charged, the young man that took my order said No to manager, I put two in for her and ask yo be separated in bags as she requested..... he ( the nice young employee kept apologizing) . I THEN ASK THE EMPLOYEES that were there if I could get a small milkshake for PaPa (90 years old) since we had been in the line so extremely long (not exaggerating 45 min. )! and papa he had not eaten lunch yet, and now the MANAGER says she is going to have to pull up to a parking space to wait on the rest of the order. Which I had already ordered? So I ask again can you add the small milkshake to my card since you were already going to have to charge my card again for missed salad, IMMEDIATELY THE MANAGER Said " NO" "NO". I dropped my face, the southern lady I am I ask her again as I really didn't believe she said "NO". I said I am paying for him a milkshake since you are having to add the salad and we have already waited an extremely long time, She again said "NO" with an awful face. So then the young employee that took our order said mam, I am so very very sorry, my mistake for sure about your food missing because I thought I rang in twice and I didn't. I said that happens, so he said I will ring it up again, so I hand him my credit card to ring up the milkshake and the missed salad. I pulled over to the parking space to wait as I was asked, (the young man employee) came to bring my card to me and said to me, I added your 2nd salad and I went ahead and I paid for the milkshake out of my pay, I told him he was so respectful , but I did not want him to pay for the small milkshake, he said no mam I insis, this was not right, Well move forward another additional 15 minutes later added to our time, we still sit in the parked spot, when all of a sudden a different young man comes out with the food that was missed, ( the salad only). NO small milkshake!!!!!! Then says to me, before I can bring you a milkshake I have to put on your card!! Wow!! It was just an unbelievable moment..... I gave him my card to pay for the milkshake, as I never ask for anything free, never, my father in law (papa) ( 90 year old Veteran) then says to me never mind, I don't want it! tell them to keep their .....,,milkshake..,,,, I said no PaPa I have paid for it, it is yours!!! What a sad day Chick-Fil-A! I never leave reviews as I believe you always treat others they way you want to be treated, but this..... just broke my heart that a simple small milkshake for a 90 year old veteran was just too much for this person known as the Chick-Fil-A manager, shame, so so rude!! (((Obviously I'm not the only one that has felt this as when I went to leave this review I read the almost exact thoughts about))) my goodnes! She the manager is supposed to be the one that sets the tone of this amazing American Family Business.... I still have so much respect for this family owned business, I will still go to Chick-fil-A, just not this one in RiverView, Fl. read more
