I stopped by for lunch and was greeted with a helpful person behind the register. I haven't had good Korean friend chicken since living in New England, so this was a great treat. The prices are higher than other places that specialize in chicken in this area, but it's full of flavor. Also love the pickled radish, but didn't like that I had to order that as a side. I'm used to that coming with the chicken as a palate cleanser, esp. if you have two savory flavors - my favorite combo here was the garlic spicy and red hot spicy. I came in on a weekday around 2 and it's was pretty empty, but I did some work while waiting for my food. Definitely going back!

I tried the garlic honey fried wings and they were really delicious. They definitely have a little bit of a kick when you first bite them, but as you continue eating them, the heat kinda slows down. At first, the price point can also seem a little pricey, but overall I think it was really worth it. I was able to have a 10 piece between myself and my spouse for two nights of dinner. I also didn't realize that they serve things like beer and wine and had available seating, so I'll definitely be back to try to dine in instead of taking out. I still had no issues with the takeout option, as my food was still piping hot by the time I got it home. They also have really cute decor inside.

Naan Appetit - Korma Vindaloo

The…read moreplace looks awesome inside--super spacious, modern, and clean with a chill vibe that makes you actually want to hang out and enjoy the food. We kicked things off with the crispy chilli baby corn, and it was straight-up snack heaven. Crunchy, spicy, saucy -- basically everything you want in an appetizer. Washed it down with a mango lassi that was creamy and refreshing without being sugary sweet. Already winning at this point. But then... the kebab platter showed up. And I swear, it's one of the best kebabs I've had in a long time. So flavorful, juicy, perfectly cooked -- the kind of dish that makes you stop talking mid-sentence. We also tried their special biryani, and it hit all the right notes -- aromatic, tasty, and not greasy at all. Long story short: I now officially have a reason to come back to Pooler again, and it's spelled Naan Appetit.

We visited Naan Appetit for the first time last weekend and really enjoyed ourselves. There are a…read morecouple of notable things about Naan Appetit that I feel I must share because there is a similarly highly rated Indian restaurant within a stones throw away from Naan that it that also deserves comparison. I will review that restaurant under separate cover, but just know that when comparing this one to Persis, I would rate Naan Appetit as the better restaurant. But ultimately they are two different experiences within the Indian food category and for that reason are very hard to compare (more on that in the Persis review). But now let's talk about Naan Appetit. So what I really like about this restaurant is the value for the ambience and atmosphere. This is a very nicely appointed restaurant that I actually thought was a furniture store before we realized it was an actual restaurant. Very well appointed well designed and upscale in look, feel and function. Service is very strong with multiple servers and front of house greeting you immediately upon entry. We were seated within 3 to 5 minutes of walking in, and this was on a Friday night with a fairly full house. Once we were seated, our server immediately came over, provided us with menus and gave us a bit of information about the restaurant. We then proceed to ask a couple of questions about level of spice, and were really pleased with the servers descriptions of the various items on the menu and which ones we may or may not want to avoid depending on our spice level preference. I really appreciated the way the menu was set up which allowed for fairly easy decision making when it came to what we wanted to order. We went with mostly traditional entrees, ordering the lamb vindaloo, and the korma. Both were authentic and very well seasoned and spiced. We also ordered a couple of the garlic butter Naan bread, which were also really good. And lastly, we tried out the tandoori wings, which I had read on previous Yelp reviews were a highlight of the restaurant. When we first asked the server about them, he seemed a bit reluctant to recommend them because of the time it would take for them to be delivered to our table, which was approximately 30 minutes. We told him we weren't in a rush and didn't have anywhere else to be so we were totally fine with ordering them. It turns out that they ended up coming to the table before our appetizers even made it. So a bit of an overblown concern there. Outside of that little wrinkle, our overall experience was really pleasurable, especially given the sub $100 price point we paid including tip. This is definitely one of the restaurants we will be going to during our stay here in Savannah. And if I had to give the best advice on the difference between this restaurant and the other, I would say pick this for date night and pick the other one for family night.

Church's Texas Chicken - 3 piece strips combo

Church's Texas Chicken

Do you ever get that late night snack craving for some fried chicken? No? Just me? Oh... okay…read more.. Well, that's what happened. Stopped by at 9pm for a little snack and went with the 3-Piece Tenders with their Honey-Buttered Biscuit. Instead of ordering regular tenders, I chose spicy with a side of Zesty Ranch dipping sauce. We also ordered a Original 2-Piece Dark with biscuit. I think this was my first experience with Church's Chicken. The drive-thru was empty the staff greeted us quickly and was patient as we made out final decisions. Our food was ready in by the time we got to the payment window and received our receipt. Kitchen looked clean and organized from my perspective. The Chicken was hot, crispy, and tender! The spicy tenders were a good medium spice level. I liked that the "spicy" wasn't the flavor but that it was spiced, if that makes sense. However, for both the tenders and the original chicken, the consensus was that the chicken was lacking flavor. The Honey-Buttered Biscuits were slightly sweet but not dessert sweet. It created a nice balance to the spicy and savory chicken. Overall a good experience!

I grew up in the deep south, where…read morechurches locations could be some of the sketchiest spots in the hood with parking lots filled with people hanging out and service nonexistent. However, the one consistent thing is they always have - hot cheap chicken. And that definitely includes this location. However the nice thing about this location is the service is on point even in the drive-through. Now I will credit what appears to be a family owned operation, and one that I had not witnessed in a churches franchise setting before. Definitely appreciate the attention to detail and the prompt service delivered by this ownership team, which appears to be a family affair. I have stopped in two or three times now and each time my entire time in the drive-through line didn't span more than 9 to 10 minutes max and that was because there was already one or two cars in front of me. Both of my orders were delivered hot fresh and most importantly, correct. They even threw in a bunch of extra hot sauce and honey, which was pretty impressive because in my neighborhood, you always had to beg for an extra packet and they would get an attitude about that. I would definitely say if you are in this stretch of Tanger outlets and looking for some cheap eats, you could do far worse by going somewhere else.
