I just came through the drive thru here in mentor and this is most definitely the worst experience I've had at a chick-fil-a. I ordered about $60 worth of food for my family to have it come out soggy, cold and with plastic in it. We ordered the Market Salad and there was a soggy straw and wrapper inside the salad which is so gross. My sister couldn't even eat the salad. The soda was all flat and we ordered 3 cheese sauces to get none in our bags. This is super frustrating and upsetting because I spent a good amount to be met with garbage. I will not be coming back here and will be making sure my family doesn't either. Be better. read more

Came through drive thru this morning. Usually go to chick fil a in Willoughby but was in the area this morning so stopped here at this location. Bottom biscuits hard as a rock. Seriously. Couldn't even eat the sandwich. Can't hear the person on the speaker (talking so softly). Order was messed up so had to wait for the order to be corrected. Waste of time and money(since I couldn't eat the food I paid for). Running 2 lanes. Don't understand why you run 2 lanes but can't keep up with 1? The lesson here is look at your chicken before you eat it. Ate at this location three days ago. Last couple times I have been here the spicy chicken plank was rubbery and upon inspection was pink inside. Well, this time I figured there's no way the nuggets would be undercooked right? Wrong. This is a review for the stand-alone restaurant on Mentor Ave. This is the only fast-food place where I never have any issues. The staff are polite, they always get my order correct and everything is always hot and fresh. My favorites are the fried chicken sandwich with extra pickles, waffle fries and a half lemonade/half unsweetened iced tea. Recently discovered their vanilla milkshake and frozen lemonade and am impressed with those as well. Last summer they had a delicious watermelon mint lemonade that was amazing, hope that returns. I used to go to the one in the Great Lakes mall as a kid and never thought it was that special, it's only after I moved away and didn't have it for 10-15 years and then rediscovered it years later that I realized it's one of the best fast-food choices out there. Chick-fil-A consistently has good food and friendly/efficient service that I rarely find at other places. Their chicken is always so plump, juicy and...moist, yes, I said moist. This location should be the example for all other Chick-Fil-A restaurants. The service is fantastic. They have a sense of urgency and are extremely polite. A couple months back, my mom was getting food for my family when my grandfather was in the hospital. She had to pull forward and wait for her food. The employee came out with her food, complimentary cookies for her wait, and the sweetest note saying how they hope my grandfather recovers quickly. How sweet is that?? They really do go above and beyond. Always saying, "My pleasure" with a smile on their faces. The other locations could learn a thing or two from this place. How can you not love chick fila - not like - there's no liking here...I mean LOVE! Every single employee is so ridiculously friendly, nice and honestly (not fake) helpful. They must either take really good care of their employees or somehow find a way to still get good people that want to be nice to strangers as we are supposed to...maybe it's both and my faith in humanity is restored! And chicken - spicy chicken sandwich - craveable! Sweet tea - let's main line that into our blood stream. Lemonade - yes please - even the diet. Nuggets - by the trays - we do it a lot! I come here often because I work close to this location. Ever since the staff has changed my wait time has too. Every time I come here both drive thru and Inside, after I order I expect to wait 10-15 minutes for my food. Orders never wrong and never has been but the wait time to get my food is ridiclous to what it used to be. Saturday September 21 - 10:30 in the morning - 20 minute in the drive thru still not to the window - no exaggeration!!!!

So...usually I like this location but today could have been better. I ordered my lunch through the online app. I get only a 1/2 hr. for lunch. The app clearly stated that I had chosen the mobile express. I clicked the "I'm Here" button on my phone to let them know that I had arrived (just like it said to). It stated that I should wait in the car and an associate would come out with my food and call my name. So I waited in my car. No one came. Also I saw signs outside in the parking lot that said follow blue cones for mobile express. The blue cones lead to a dead end. I waited there. Nothing. I tried calling the store 13 times! ( I know...excessive...I was irritated) No one would answer the phone. I just wanted to ask if there was somewhere I needed to wait that I didn't know about. About half way through this mess I thought...well...I should have just gone in and asked but there were no more parking spots left. I got into the drive thru line and flagged a girl down and asked her. She helped me and was nice about it but her manager was very rude. She must have thought that I couldn't hear her because she rudely said "Tell her that next time she can't just sit in her car. She needs to get off her a** and come in". Not cool manager. You're supposed to be more professional than your staff. Instead your staff was more professional than you. tsk tsk. read more

I stopped for some chicken strips yesterday afternoon. This chain seems to have the best. This mall location is not up to par with the ones in the hoods. They were over cooked and dry and very small. I was ripped off. I don't like to complain so I just don't recommend and probably will not eat there again. Whoever put the food in the box should have know they were no good. Lost track of time and walked in at 9:59 on the dot (I know, I'm a terrible person). They had already started mopping and I'm now walking all over their just-cleaned floor that someone would have to mop again. To make matters worse, I used a freebie and didn't even spend a dime! Most places seem to lock up before closing so not only were they still open but everyone was still overly polite as usual. I have to say that besides the deliciousness of their chicken, their customer service is the reason I keep coming back. I love the fact that when I take my children there, I can place my order and sit down, and they will bring it out to me. They also have someone walking around re-filling drinks, which is again a plus when you have a little one in a high chair. There is also someone always walking around cleaning, which again is a plus. There is nothing worse then sitting down to a table with sticky spots. The play ground is always clean, I just wish parents would keep a better eye on their children while they are in there. Since it is all enclosed parents send their kids in there and pay no attention. Other than lazy parents, I do not have anything bad to say about this location. read more

I know this place is fast food but they are always attentive to the needs of the guests. They have multiple healthy options for your kids as well as adults. The specific Chick-fil-A on Mentor Ave is the only one I've had problems with. This Chick-fil-A is no "fast" food, your sitting there for over 30 min. just to get your food. The people who are handing out the food are messing around the whole time and putting their heads in the bags in the bags of food, was very displeased when I saw that. I will say there was a young girl named Sophia who was taking orders and she was super nice she asked specifically about everything, if you wanted whip cream and cherry, and the sizes of Mac n cheese (which they normally never do) and was just super nice over all and she should get recognized. Something Sophia told me was that they couldn't do light ice anymore because "it would be to time consuming" so the owner wouldn't let them do it anymore no hate to Sophia she was just doing what she was told to but there, the owner is at fault. If you had common sense you would know light ice would actually take less time. But anyway, the point is I think they need to get a new system running for everything or something because obviously what they are doing now isn't working. (Still giving two stars because Sophia was nice when ordering and the food is still good) read more

I so love their chicken sandwiches they are second to none in the fast food world but what I was more impressed with was the great customer service I received when I went to this location. It's not often you get great customer service at a fast food place these days so when it happens I thinks it's important to call it out. I may not agree with the company's outlook on life but they make one hell of a chicken sandwich and their employees seem very happy to be working there which is more than I can say for 99% of the other fast food hell holes. I thought Chick-fil-A was a southern thing but am deeply pleased to find it here in Ohio. What I am about to say is probably sacrilege here. It is also comparing apples to oranges in my opinion. So here it is - If I had to choose between Chick-fil-A and White Castle, I'd choose Chick-fil-A All Day Long! I get the #1 fried chicken sandwich with fries and coleslaw. Go southern and put the coleslaw ON the sandwich. (Then take the other half of the coleslaw home and put it on your hotdog the next day!) The best! Now onward to the lemonade. OMG. The diet is just as good as the regular. I get half and half (diet and regular). I wonder how their sweet tea is here. So far, Ohio has proved incapable of making decent sweet tea. I have a daughter living in Seattle that has to go to Chick-fil-A when she visits. She even takes a pic to post wherever 20-somethings are posting these days.
