I went in to the new Maple Grove store for dinner with my husband Saturday night. The wait times were horrific, but I understood that this would be the case given the time of day and the fact that it was a new location. What I didn't expect was that after waiting 15 minutes to order and 25 minutes to receive our order, an individual would be allowed to cut in line to order and receive his meal before the rest of the waiting guests (so he was in and out in a matter of minutes). After asking one friend to grab his chicken nuggets early, I was happy to hear her refuse and tell him to wait in line. However, he apparently hit up another friend of his to grab his chicken nuggets before everyone else. They did, much to my surprise. The worst part of the ordeal is that because he was allowed to "skip ahead" he got his order of chicken nuggets, while the store ran out of them by the time they filled our order (giving us chicken strips instead - but not much in the way of an apology for running out of nuggets). Had it not been for the preferential treatment to the employee's friend, my husband would have received the nuggets we drove 30 minutes for (and waited for in the store for 40 minutes for). First of all I sat in the drive-through for what seems to be 10 minutes the lady told me I was good to go for payment and sent me to through the drive-through and didn't say anything I only brought a handful of cash with me and they wouldn't give me my order because of three pennies I've never had that happen to me before that was very petty of them are that's why they're only getting one star read more

I was here about 15 minutes before closing. I happened to be out this way and needed to bring dinner home. In this part of the mall it's easy to find the drive through entrance. I got my usual chicken sandwich, and Jeannine's right it requires a packet of mayo. Funny they don't deal in open condiments at all, everything is in a packet. When I got home I noticed one filet was thicker than the other, kind of odd. I think 2 slices of pickle in a naked chicken filet odd, too. I still love it. I got the coleslaw at another location, and didn't care for it. Guessing they're probably all alike. They seem to hold themselves to a higher fast food standard as far as service goes. Somehow I didn't feel the need to check inside the bag. Blind faith, perhaps. read more

As far as fast food goes Chick-Fil-A is hard to beat. The chicken is tender and delicious, period. If you think there's no such thing as customer service in fast food you haven't been to Chick-Fil-A. Yes, they're having issues with wait times, but I don't foresee this happening for long with the leadership I experienced here. I came here with my family last night because let's face it--you can't get a better chicken sandwich than Chik Fil A. There were a couple issues with our order which we went back to the counter to explain. A manager said she'd take care of it, and came back soon with the corrected item, change for an item that had been added accidentally, and 2 fresh baked cookies as a good will offering for our inconvenience--the cookies were still warm! She even took time to ask us how we're doing and explain that they are in the process of training in a huge group of new young workers and that they're making progress, but they still have issues to work out. I was very impressed with how the manager kept her cool and even took time to deal with us personally. It's too bad I live in the SW Metro because I would be coming here a couple times a week if I could. The quality of the food we received was great, and I'm sure in a couple weeks this chik fil a will have the speed of service to match. It's obvious this restaurant cares about its customers as much as its workers and quality of food, and that's not something you find often. read more

We haven't eaten at Chic-fil-A since we moved here because my beliefs don't line up with their but I gave in and decided I would go check it out, boy are we sorry. We visited the one in Maple Grove at lunch time on 1/10/20. We ordered a chicken deluxe with Mac n cheese and a chicken wrap with the waffle fries. First off it was a little expensive, $20.75. The worst part was it was not good. It seems I remember eating there before, in another state, and it was better but not here. I am not sure if the food is bland to match Minnesota's taste buds or if they have just gone down hill or what but it was not good. The mac n cheese was worse than Kraft, sandwich was MEH, the wrap was boring, and the fries were OK while they were hot. After that, YUK. Actually YUK describes the whole experience. If I could give zero stars I would. This location routinely ignores feedback and makes no effort to rectify any issue I've had. From cold burnt food (yes, cold and burned, like it'd been sitting there a while) to portions that are about half of what they should be (and poorly prepared at that), they're pretty terrible. I've tried calling the store after getting home and realizing there's a mistake, and there's been no answer each time. So I try the corporate website. No response. Wanted to try this place after hearing a lot about their chicken. Went here on a Saturday night and place was half full. Menu is limited and all of them are built around chicken only. We ordered the standard chicken burger. The burger size was smaller compared to other fast food chains. But the chicken was really good and well cooked. It definitely had some unique flavours. On Dec 7 in the evening had my first horrible experience at this restaurant in Maple Grove! I'm a DoorDasher and trying to provide prompt and quality service by delivering customers hot food orders on time. The manager at the restaurant was extremely rude and snapped at me several times and while waiting about 20 minutes more than necessary, I witnessed this manager treating his employees horrible and stressing them out and degrading them. He even looked put out when he handed a customer a melted shake and the woman asked if she could have a new one and he sighed, rolled his and abruptly turned to make it while saying "sure" sarcastically. Not only was I late to my customer but I can't even be sure it was hot because my order had been sitting on the counter for so long while the manager ignored me for so long before treating me like I was a nuisance. read more

A disclaimer: I'm a Chick-Fil-A fanatic. I mean, to the point that I emailed the company way back in the late 90s as a middle schooler and implored them to consider adding a couple locations in the Twin Cities (maybe they listened? I tell myself that sometimes) Naturally, I've pretty much been waiting for this store to open for a good portion of my life; that day where I could just go, "ya know what? I feel like some Chick-Fil-A right now." A fan, yes, but also someone who knows what the company is capable of, so I'm no pushover when it comes to execution and quality. Needless to say, they didn't disappoint. Do yourself a favor and get the #1. The classic. The chicken is just the way it should be - tender, juicy, just enough spice and flavor to satiate but not overpower you. And the waffle fries. Wow. I grab two packets of mayonnaise when I go to Chick-Fil-A. One for the sandwich and one for my fries. Apologize to your arteries and try it. With the location being brand new and overcrowded, I was even willing to cut them some slack in terms of service and quality. You know what? I didn't even need to. They've executed flawlessly each time I've been there, and that's when dealing with a line that went out the door. There are several new franchises opening around the Twin Cities, and with the notoriety of the company there's sure to be long wait times for the foreseeable future. If you're expecting a short visit I guess I don't know what to tell you except that it's worth the wait. I will say, though, that the lines look really daunting, but they get you in and out really fast. I've waited longer at Wendy's when it's just me inside than I have at my Chick-Fil-A visits. Chick-Fil-A is a class act. This location stays busy, but they pump out wonderful food and excellent customer service. I have been to the Maple Grove location several times since they opened. It's always busy, the food is always hot and delicious, and I am always offered help from the staff. They are prompt to wipe down tables and offer refills. This is nearly unheard of in the fast food industry these days and something that gets high marks in my opinion. Now on to the food.... I LOVE it. I cannot stress this enough! I worked for this chain as a teenager down in Virginia and can personally assure the quality of the food. The salads are fresh. The kids meals offer healthy choices. The chicken is downright sinful. And the waffle fries... oh the waffle fries. I am a big fan of the fresh-squeezed lemonade and sweet tea... try an Arnold Palmer here... it will change your life. My whole family loves the food. For a fast food joint it was pretty good! Greasy but good! My 13 yr old daughter and I had the spicy chicken deluxe sandwiches, my 8 and 10 year olds had the spicy chicken sandwiches and my two year old had the chicken nuggets! There are a ton of sauces you can request, we tried the honey mustard (highly recommend) and the chik fil a sauce which was really smoky. Everyone really liked their meal! I wish I could give this place five million stars. I first went here when it opened and ever since then I go here pretty much every week. I can't even explain to you how amazing everything about this place is. I literally want to live there. The employees are all GENUINELY kind, helping, and sweet. They seriously could be having the worst day ever and they get they always greet me with a smile and kind words. It's always clean & super kid-friendly. Sadly after buying lunch and letting my toddler play for a while she started to have a melt down. I never had a chance to fill up my drink. I put her in the car and went through the drive through immediately hoping for a refill. I still had my receipt and the ice was still in tact. They said it was fine at the ordering intercom and then when I got to the window they laughed and refused to refill my cup. I told them I was just in there and that my toddler was just having a rough day and I needed to get her into the car. I showed them that I had used my app, still had the receipt and they said they had no idea what I could have possible done to my cup in the two minutes it took for me to drive through. I asked if I could just have a new cup, they said yes, but we will only give you water with a smirk. I said what if I parked and walked In? Would you still treat me the same way? They said you left too bad we won't refill it. Seeing as I never left the parking lot and was within 5 feet of the restaurant at all times seems like a stretch. This small minded thinking saddens me. Wish they could be more understanding of moms with young children. I could understand if I didn't use my app, or have a receipt. But as someone who had just been In there within 2 minutes? This seems pretty dumb. I also didn't enjoy the 4 employees laughing hysterically in the background. Work on your common sense, and sensibility Chick Fil A. If someone was just there, has a receipt and was on camera eating there maybe you should just be more accommodating. read more

To be fair I have been to this location several times and always had great experiences, but tonight really managed to outshine all those good experiences. I was feeling brave tonight and thought I would take my 4 year old and my 13 month old out to eat without the aid of my husband. After waiting in a long line, ordering my food, and grabbing a table I was happy when my food finally arrived. I grabbed one of the grilled chicken nuggets so that I could cut it into small pieces for my son. I was shocked when I cut into the nugget and it was pink inside. Since I was there by myself with two small children, I was hoping to quickly run over to the counter, tell them my chicken was undercooked and run right back. The first person I encountered totally ignored me, luckily I was able to get the attention of someone coming back from delivering food. I told the girl delivering food that my chicken nuggets were undercooked and I needed a different 6 piece grilled chicken nugget. I went and sat at my table and about three minutes later a different employee came by with $2 and some change. I thought to myself, "this is nice, they are replacing my chicken nuggets and giving me a partial refund." I waited about 10 minutes for my chicken nuggets to come and they never did so I went back up to the counter to check on their status. Luckily the girl who had brought the partial refund by was at the counter. I asked her, "how much longer do you think it will be before my chicken nuggets are ready?" To which she replied (insert rude and condescending tone here),"YOU WANT NEW CHICKEN NUGGETS AND A REFUND?" After I explained to her that I never asked for a refund (only new chicken nuggets), but wasn't surprised to receive a partial refund since they nearly gave my 4 year old and 13 month old Salmonella, I did finally receive the 6 grilled chicken nuggets in about 10 more minutes. However, by this time my kids and I had split my chicken sandwich, fries, and the fruit salad that came with their meal. Up until this experience I've had nothing but good experiences at all of the Chickfilas I've ever been to, this experience, however, was real crazy. I still don't quite know what to think. read more

I first had Chick Fil A as a teenager in Arizona. Then I started at the U of M and they put one in the student union. Then I move to Plymouth, and shortly thereafter they build one in neighboring Maple Grove. So, it must be me, right?!? My ego says yes, my brain says hell no! Anyways, I have been a fan of theirs since that fateful day in AZ and this location keeps me a fan. I love the traditional crispy chicken with EXTRA pickles, because pickles are phenomenal! Their nuggets aren't too shabby, and tonight I had the grilled nuggets for the first time. Delish! I love that they have both regular & diet house lemonade, cause lemonade is my absolute favorite drink but is like 110% sugar, so I always go with diet. My only gripe about this, or really any other Chick Fil A is that their waffle fries are never crispy. Even extra crispy orders come out kinda soggy. Fear not though, there are many other delicious sides to choose from. read more

I can't understand the national popularity of Chick-Fil-A. What it reminds me of is a school lunch. Here's what you get: A deep fried, breaded, frozen piece of chicken breast, on a soggy Wonder bread bun - the kind of bread that sticks to your teeth (I think the bun steams from the hot chicken breast) , and two disgusting pickel chips. That's it! The only seasoning on the chicken is salt. It's BLAND - BLAND - BLAND. And IMO over done - there's no juciness in the supreme (French for deboned chicken breast). You can get the deluxe for 65 cents more - a little lettuce and tomato. The waffle fries don't come off well either. Get a meal and it will cost you about $7. Besides that - the meal is about an 1100 calorie lunch! There's a CUB near where I work. You can get a whole deep fried chicken breast, that has some spices on it, that hasn't been frozen or over cooked, for $1.95 Yet in Maple Grove the line is out the door at lunch time. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about. I have never been to a Chick-Fil-A and have heard people talking about it. I ordered a chicken sandwich and fries. The food was very disappointing. The sandwich was bland and there was nothing that was good about it. The fries were probably the worst I have ever tried anywhere else. They were very bland and mushy. I will not be going back here for food again. There are many other places that can provide better quality food. The prices are higher than other fast food places and you don't get what you pay for. The service was good and quick which was the best part of going here. The restaurant was clean and pretty nice inside. The food is just ok so the service and cleanliness isn't enough to get me back into the door. They are known for their chicken so I was expecting more. I don't recommend it. read more

I grew up with Chick-Fil-A and have had it a handful of other times while visiting down south, this definitely isn't what I remember. We have tried the Maple Grove location twice now and was disappointed each time. The bun was soggy and the chicken was an off flavor. The waffle fries consistently undercooked. My wife had two bites of her chicken club and threw the rest away. Next time we have a hankering for chicken, we'll head to Culvers. While the food wasn't good, the service was excellent. read more

I think the staff is friendly. Chipper too! No problems with service. But the prices vs. the quality of food is what keeps me away from regular visits. Stopped here after the wife and I went to Costco it's basically in the same area! It's an all new restaurant with drive thru ordered 2 chicken sandwiches one was a meal and upsized it for like 44 cents that's the best deal there! Sandwiches were excellent I had the Chick fil A sauce on mine.. the waffle fries are tremendous and the fountain coke was cold and fizzy! Staff was friendly and courteous and wait times at the drive thru were minimal! Will I go again.. Probably! read more
